Replaced our roof a few years back and we were very happy with them. Just this last month we noticed a tiny leak so we called them. They came out right away, found a small nail hole, and sealed it. Very hassle free, and responsive. Thank you!

This revised review supersedes any previous positive reviews I made. Four years after my roof replacement and attic venting and insulation installation, the truth came out. Per our contract, Oakes said they installed R-49 blown in insulation, but I recently found out they actually installed the R-38 rolled-in type. I was told "they could not get the machine in the door", hence, the reason for the replacement. Other companies have assured me that the machine stays in the truck, only the hose comes into the house. Oakes failed to inform me of the change. I also paid them for mold remediation, yet four years later it's back. Other roofing companies revealed deficiencies in the roofing installation (as shown in the pictures herein), repair, and insulation. Since Oakes has stopped communicating with me, I have had to resort to legal remedies for resolution.Services: Roof repair, Roof installation, Attic venting installation, Roof damage repair

I have done a half a dozen jobs or more with Oakes roofing. I can't say enough good things about the quality of and craftsmanship of their work. Roofing is a very fast paced and dangerous service. Sometimes it is difficult to balance speed and accuracy. The men and women willing to risk their lives on roofs can be rough around the edges and challenging to manage. Each and every roof will l, just like basements, leak at some point. Every roof job is like exploratory surgery, they don't know what's underneath the existing and how long it will take to fix. There's a lot to a roofing system. It's not only shingles and rain that play a role in how it all works. Other factors such as insulation, ventilation,the framing,the decking,wind, snow load,sun exposure, roof slope,ice damn and more. All of these factors must be considered. A bath fan vent not properly insulated can cause condensation to build up and leak.Oakes roofing is the only roofing company I will do business with. Very reasonable price and highly responsive.

Oakes Roofing was a pleasure to work with. They quoted us reasonably, were very communicative throughout the process, and we love our new roof. They made everything to code and updated every part of our roof. Everyone worked hard, they were friendly, and even helped my mom carry a few heavy boxes into our home without being asked! I was very grateful to them. There were a few days of a delay for our roof because of the weather, but they were open and honest about the scheduling changes and were only a few days off from their original estimated date. They finished everything within the day and then cleaned up my property very well. Thank you!

If you're looking to get your roof replaced and confused by all the different companies offering their services....STOP....Call Gary at Oakes Roofing and end your search....I've been in the home improvement business (doors) for nearly 30 years and Oakes Roofing does what they say they're going to do, does it in a timely fashion, and does it at a very reasonable price. Since posting this review, the company has agreed to resolve the issues listed below by reimbursing the cost of the repairs.In 2017 we hired Oakes because our 20 year old roof was leaking. We asked for a tear off and replace. Our roof is part shingles and part aluminum. We paid over $27,000 and the following spring we noticed the roof was still leaking and causing damage to our paint inside. Several calls to the salesman and letters to the owner. After nearly 3 years they sent a repairman who explained that the leaks were in the small flat areas between the shingles and metal and Oakes does not "do flat roofs." Why didn't they tell us upfront? In other words, Oakes was never going to fix the leaks because of where they were located. Finally, the repairman came back 5/27/20, after nearly 3 years, and we paid $3000 to have those areas sealed and Oakes said the cost was our responsibility. Seriously?

Avoid this company! I hired them to do a small roof replacement project and install a new gutter. They did not replace the rotted wood identified during the initial inspection, they simply covered this up and pretended that it did not exist. They failed to complete the entire project once their bad work was pointed out. The sales rep then decided to "walk-away" and stop returning messages. I called multiple times regarding the initial scheduling and understood that a small project would be a lower priority, but kept getting the run around. Without a phone call, text or email, their workers decided to show up at my home when no one was home to do the roof replacement. I found out they were doing the roof project when I showed up after work, they never called to coordinate this, ask me if it was ok, etc. This is another example of a roofing company with no business ethics.

Beware of their unprofessionalism,I signed a CONTRACT with them for re-roofing in May and was delayed and delayed. They then PROMOSIED me in August I would have my roof installed in October. Then the day before the committed date in October, they didn't even have the common decency to call me but sent me a text saying that due to COVID they couldn't do my re-roofing. The only thing I'm thrilled about is that I didn't give them a deposit as I surely would have lost it.Beware of this company's unscrupulous practices. .Service: Roof installation

I was up charged 2 times before the job even got started 6 months later Jim the roofer says that they are done with my roof but its not done it rain in my attic evertime with many attempts to have this resolved and today he threatened me like it my fault its not done they also didn't finish doing my porch and just a very poor jobBut he was paid in full maybeif I still didn't pay for the whole job they would be more than to finish
