Really good team. Remodeled two apartment units completely. Worked ahead of schedule, so that was a nice surprise. The bid was higher than what I planned for, but they stayed within the scope nicely. Highly communicative team when they had any issue or question (the duplex is a farmhouse from the 1800's, so lots of odd things in it.) Will work with them again!

Josh Nelson Builders is an amazing company! Nelson Builders finished our basement and took it from cement floors and walls to a beautiful space that can be used by our whole family. From the beginning design process to the final stroke of the paint brush, Josh and his crew did excellent work. He listened to our ideas and helped us visualize the final appearance. Josh also created several custom pieces for us including a fire place mantle, built-in cabinet/entertainment area and a kids' play area in the shape of a lighthouse. Josh was able to create the lighthouse perfectly from my simple sketches and made it come alive. We appreciated the way they kept a clean and quiet work area that didn't affect the other floors in our home. Josh Nelson Builders is a company with integrity and excellence. Nelson Builders remodeled our kitchen and dining room. When we presented our ideas to Josh Nelson, he immediately got excited and designed a beautiful large space for our big family. The remodel included removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, as well as raising the kitchen ceiling to match the cathedral ceiling in the dining room. Another unique part of the remodel was restoring the existing kitchen cabinets. Josh was able to “harvest” cabinet doors from the wall that was removed and then build cabinets for the new refrigerator and double oven to match the existing cabinets.Josh was very easy to work with and very professional throughout the four months of the remodel. He respected our ideas and our budget. He gave us several ideas to enhance our project and paid attention to every detail to make sure all was done correctly. His work crew showed up every day to keep the project on schedule. While working on the kitchen, Josh also tiled a large shower and floor of our master bath room. We receive many compliments on everything Josh did.We highly recommend Nelson Builders for any remodeling or building project! We are extremely happy with how our large kitchen and dining room turned out. They are beautiful!

Nelson Builders was wonderful to work with from the initial conversations about our project through the final finishes. Josh Nelson is on top of the latest methods of construction, and is friendly and accessible in helping the homeowner understand everything that goes into the process, and the options at various price points. We added two rooms and a large closet. There was plumbing and additional HVAC. Nelson Builders' own employees were respectful and always cleaned up the work site, so that we could continue to use our home through the entire process. The same could be said for the subcontractors that worked on our project. The pricing was competitive with other firms, but the value is amazing considering the quality of the work. Josh Nelson and his staff were a pleasure to work with, and we would definitely go with them for future projects.

I always enjoy working with Josh and his crew. He always makes sure we are both on the same page as far as what we are going to do. We discuss all the steps along the way, before we start, we agree on a price and a start and finish date. I've had Josh do work for me since 2003, and he's done everything from putting up wainscoting in the dinning room, to replacing all the molding in my hallway, (9 doors and base molding). To taking out our stairs to get a hot tub down the basement, making a patio in our back yard, putting in windows, remodeling our bathroom, ( custom building a cabinet with double sinks. And this last project of replacing our back splash in the kitchen and taking out the old sink and replacing it and new faucet and garbage disposal. His crew are very professional, and very knowledgeable. They do a excellent job of cleaning the job site each day after they are done too. I'll always get Josh when I need something done.
