Greg and Aiden who came out did a great job and explained everything and answered my questions. They showed up on time and did a superb chimney sweep. Fireplace looks great! Highly recommend!

CJW installed a gas direct vent fireplace in August of 2023. Eric and his coworker (I’m sorry I forgot his name) were very efficient, they were punctual and very courteous. They answered all our questions and any concerns we had they handled immediately. We stopped by CJW yesterday because we had an issue with turning off the fireplace with the remote. Claire and the owner listened to our problem and gave us a couple tips. We called them back because we still had a problem and Eric stopped by this morning and took care of our problem and did some fine tuning. Problem resolved. We are very pleased with the entire process from beginning to end.

I am absolutely in love with my new fireplace birch logs insert. I was having an issue with the old fireplace in a 120 year old home that I recently bought. Chuck the owner sent out an incredible crew to address and fix my gas line issues and install new beautiful birch logs. The crew was top notch, on time, friendly, great with my dogs and extremely intelligent! I am very grateful to The entire crew! I am enjoying my new fireplace on these cold , dark rainy days! Eric and John were here to clean my fireplace and chimney today. Both men were very courteous and pleasant to be around. Eric did a fantastic job, explaining as he went along, to me as well as to John, since it was John's first day on the job. He also called me to let me know specifically when they would be here and didn't leave me hanging for the 2 hour window. I've never experienced that with any other company I have dealt with. Eric should be commended for his customer service as well as his work. I'm looking forward to getting my information on gas log installation and other repairs that are needed. i am very glad I called this company.

I recently contacted Chuck at CJW because our roofing company said we needed a new chimney chase cover. Chuck had his team our for measurements within a couple days and had the whole cover replaced within a couple weeks. Less than two months later, a big windstorm caused the very top piece of the cover to shift. I contacted Chuck to help fix it and he had his crew out again the very next day. Chuck's prices were reasonable and his communication was prompt and thorough. I'd be happy to work with Chuck and his team again!

I’ve had some chimney sweeps and inspections of questionable quality in the past, but Mark and Jake from CJW did a fantastic job at my home. A very thorough inspection of the chimney where they actually got on the roof to check it’s condition, a proper cleaning of my wood burning stove insert, and advice on how to make sure I get the most life out of the stove itself were completed. The entire company displays professionalism from the very first contact to the employees showing up on time, in a proper vehicle that speaks well of the business, to making sure my home stayed as clean as possible. I will have CJW back annually.

What a great company!… Erica & Riley were our service techs. They first put down tarps to keep flooring clean, and kept everything clean during and after the install/ cleaning of fireplace. Riley did a beautiful job on the New install of our gas fireplace and was extremely thorough in making sure that there were no Gas leaks… Eric also came through to double check and I must say I was so relieved in knowing that these two guys cared enough for our family’s safety as well as the companies reputation. OUTSTANDING!!… These two guys also took the time to explain every safety feature this thing had, also bringing us a peace of mind. — Erica had also serviced our other gas fireplace downstairs, he found a separation in the exhaust vent and added another 1 1/2 in to the metal tube, he basically RECONSTRUCTED the whole exhaust unit and resealed it with the correct caulk that could be used in high heat. He also noticed a little rust starting on the interior walls and said he could seal it with special black paint made for high temperatures as well. I liked that he had shown us pictures of every detailed thing he was going through, even physically showing us all the things that were going wrong with our basement fireplace. Eric made it functioning even better than before and now it even looks prettier! 🤩 I know these two guys did a lot more for us, but I wanted you to know certain things that stuck out and meant alot to us.— It’s almost Christmas and I hope these two deserving men get a “BONUS”, they definitely deserve it!!… THANK YOU AGAIN!Services: Stove & fireplace cleaning, Chimney repair & restoration, Chimney cleaning, Fireplace installations

We just moved in to our new house, and the fireplace had not been used by the previous owners. In fact, the doors wouldn't even open. On a referral, I called CJW and they came out the next day and got everything in working order. They were professional, and explained all of the relevant steps being taken. I felt the pricing was honest, and the effort and care put into the job was above and beyond. I couldn't be happier with the work, and am excited to be able to now enjoy our fireplace!

Was quoted 329 for 1st fireplace and 299 for 2nd fireplace to come and troubleshoot(needed a damper repaired). That price included a mandatory cleaning. No thank you, that's crazy cost.

I am a single woman who bought her first home, of course then the chimney needed to be rebuilt. I had several estimates, Chuck (owner) was the only one who treated me with respect and didn’t try to get me to do more than what was needed. And his staff, was who did the work were respectful, efficient, cleaned up and extremely nice. I had another issue two years later, nothing to do with the previous job, they came over within a day after my call and fixed it within 20 mins. I started getting a little trickle of water coming down my chimney so I called CJW to get an estimate to repair the problem. They said they don't offer free estimates, but will inspect it during a sweep, and will be able to offer a repair quote then. The 2 men showed up as scheduled and I showed them where my woodstove was. They immediately went to work without any explanation of what they were going to do. I have had my chimney cleaned many times so I didn't have many questions, but still thought it was a bit awkward. After a couple of hours they were done, and gave me a bill for almost $300, and stamped my paperwork that the chimney is unsafe to use because of creosote buildup? I think? Greg's explanation was not very thorough and I even told him that I didn't understand.. and then explained to him that I called for a quote on the leak, and he showed me a picture of the top of my stack where he suspects the water coming in. Ok, so what's the repair estimate I ask? I also went on to say I primarily heat with wood, and only have 20% in my propane tank (single mom problems, ha), so need this fixed asap. He says he can't give an estimate then, because he has to check on something's and will email it to me later. As we were going over the paperwork, I noticed they put my stovepipe together backwards, so I had to ask for them dismantle it and put it back the way it was, which they did without hesitation.I got an email from Chuck later that day of a google slideshow with pictures of the sweep they did, and brochures for things like additives to add to the stack, different colors for the flue (? Were they suggesting I need a new flue/stack?! I don't even know!). I waited until the next day, and replied to the email asking if I'm missing a quote somewhere for the repairs and he replied within 5 minutes saying he'd get back to me as soon as possible.That was last week.I haven't used my stove since they labeled it unsafe, and today was the first rain storm that we've had in months. I now have an even bigger leak, with water pouring in, and still no quotes for a repair. I think the sweep they did lead to more water being able to come in. I don't think they care that I contacted them for a repair, and just took my $260 and left me back at square one.. looking to find a reputable company to fix my leak.After the string of incidents here, I don't think I can trust their quote or work, and therefore feel like I wasted $260 and a week of time by contacting them.Services: Chimney inspections, Chimney cleaning

The guys were early, they were super friendly and they did a fantastic job. Their price was exactly what they quoted me, they showed me any future issues we might have with our fireplace but did not push us at all for a future sale. It was neat and quick. They answered my emails right away and were great about rescheduling even though for me it was kind of last minute. Use this company they rock!!!!!

I went up to talk about getting a new insert for my fireplace. When I walked up to the door, there was a handwritten sign that said "closed early today." If a business can't keep regular hours, how do I expect them to be professional? I took my business somewhere else.Maybe if you had said it was a medical emergency, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

CJW put on all new caps on three chimneys last year and got the fireplaces up and running too. Super job!! This last fall during the heavy winds two caps blew off. They ordered new caps and came out to put them on. The caps were accidentally too small. The chimney had water coming in. They came out to put in a makeshift flat cap to keep the water out while they waited for the correct size to come on. That kept us dry very well. Not too many days later they came out to install the correct size caps. CJW were excellent correcting the size mishap on the caps. They did not charge me for the mistake. They were excellent in their responsiveness and excellent in their work done! I would highly recommend CJW Chimney for all chimney work!!

I had a chimney sweep and inspection done. The chimney sweep was fine. However, I was given a quote for repairs after the inspection for over $6800. The next day I got a quote for the same repairs at another company for $1500. What a ripoff. Not to mention that the business shared my quote with a third party without my permission or a subpoena. Bad business. I’d honestly give 0 stars if I could.

Called on service on May 19th, at 9:15am for water leaking into the gas fireplace. They responded by phone and were on the roof by 10:15am. Never had such prompt service. Was quoted needing a new chase cover. Had them proceed, they make them in shop, was told it would take 2-3 weeks. To my surprise, was called on May 22nd that the part was ready and they could install. Now it is installed and good to go all by Friday at 10:00am. 4 days... Not sure if this is normal but they have my business for life.

I would highly recommend this company to everyone. The quality of work is outstanding. Even the guys who put in my new furnace went on about the great job cjw did. With replacing bricks and the custom made cap on top. Plus Chuck the owner returns calls, and answers all my questions. I always say you get what you pay for and cjw is worth every penny!
