My wife and I hired Ken to demo a home adjacent to ours. When we first reached out to Ken about the project, he had a quote back to us within 48hrs and was very responsive to answering phone calls and questions leading up to the demo. During the demo, he and his team where prompt, respectful and took the time to listen to and answer all our questions and concerns. Ken and team did an excellent job containing all demo materials on its site, cleaning up all the debris, filling in the foundation and leveling and seeding the entire lot. I hired Ken Fahrner based upon a recommendation from my general contractor to do the excavating for our addition. Ken and his team are very professional, skilled, easy to work with and quick to help in problem solving. They had all of their work completed on time and perfectly executed. As part of the work Ken also needed to find our septic line that went to our tank so that we could connect the new addition to it. They came through and were able to locate it did it out (in very tight quarters) to enable our hook up to the septic system. Lastly, I also realized I needed my shed moved and Ken came up with a creative plan to be able to move the shed where it needed to go perfectly. I would recommend Ken and his team for any excavating and septic work that you need. Thanks Ken for all your hard work.

We hired Ken to demo a house next to ours. The buildings were close but he did an excellent job of safely tearing it down. The Fahrner crew did a great job cleaning up all the rubble and filling in the foundation. Excellent experience and fair price on a very challenging project!We needed a driveway built through wooded terrain and a foundation pad to accommodate a 40x60 building. In addition, we wanted to incorporate a couple camping pads which could tap into the water and electric of our future building.Ken walked the property with us, taking note what our vision was. He was very tuned in to the fact we wanted to keep a wooded lot and took care to work around specific trees we wanted to keep.Ken and his crew of Dan's 😉 were not deterred by the elements. They are VERY hard workers andaccomplished incredible things in a short time. We appreciated how accommodating they were when the project was tweaked several times (add ons). Called and said he would come on a Friday and was there that day and worked around vehicles coming and leaving. Fahrner Excavating recently completed a major project on my property. Ken and the crew cleaned up several old buildings, and levelled off the sites afterwards. They also prepared a site for a storage building and did a fantastic job prepping for the building and then finishing off the gravel work and ramping to the building from my driveway after the building was set. They were prompt, efficient, respectful, and very accommodating to all of my project needs, adjusting as necessary to make sure that the completed project was just right. I highly recommend them for anything large or small needed to make your outdoor spaces just right.

Ken and crew did a good job clearing our property and fixing our road, but the driveway and parking pad need help. I contacted Ken July 8 after moving to the property and realizing we can't use half the parking pad bc it's too steep to drive up. My bumper hit it like a wall! We even tried to manually lessen the angle, but it was nearly impossible with only hand tools. Ken asked for photos, which showed where we sank into the rock trying to enter the driveway (from either side). After several days, he finally agreed to stop by and give us options (his words), but we didn't hear from him again until I updated my Google review to reflect the poor service, at which time he texted before 5am to tell me he'd fix his mistake for an additional $850! We had also asked for something like a French drain for water coming off the hillside. Instead we got a moat that doesn't drain, which has become an eyesore and mosquito magnet and makes accessing the rest of our property very difficult. We had to build a bridge to get across!

Ken and his crew did a great job demolishing and removing a derelict trailer home from our property. They crushed and trucked away all the debris...3 truck loads of it and cleaned up the mess left behind. I loved watching the guys operate the excavator with its giant jaws that could pick up the smallest piece of metal.
