CBS paid great attention to detail from start to finish. They took care in planning, demolition, and installation. I really appreciate how they planned demolition around us living in our home, waiting to tear up flooring in bedrooms until ready to install the new flooring. James, Calvin, Chuck, and Tae did a great job. We’d definitely work with CBS on future projects in our home. They were always on time and provided updates at the end of each day so we knew what to expect next.

We've done several projects with CBS now and have been very happy with the results. CBS recently completed a very complicated project to turn an unfinished attic space into an extra bedroom with full bath. They did an incredible job, which included plank walls and a cathedral ceiling. Ian did a great job leading a talented crew (Calvin, Chuck and Zach) and the subcontractors. Ian kept us in the loop on what was happening and going to happen and was very responsive to any questions we had. There was a lot of creativity to the job, and a lot of ingenuity that went into this successful project

From start to finish, Jim and his assistant, Nick provided our family with high quality craftsmanship, and along with Kyle, the best possible customer service experience on our complete kitchen remodel. Jim always told me ahead of time what time the crew would arrive each day, what work was planned and what subcontractors would be on site. Always on time, Jim was a “first things first” kind of guy, intentional to ask and answer questions, track small details, troubleshoot and move through this major project as a team. He listens for the homeowner perspective, sought first to understand and consistently looked for ways to exceed expectations. He has that old-school work ethic and pride in his trade. Jim is a meticulous woodworker and was a patient teacher with his helper.The kitchen is complete and we are extremely happy with the new space and the remodeling experience. The whole team at Community Building Services exceeded our expectations. We have another project planned already and will plan ahead with CBS. It is comforting to know quality tradesmen you can call when you have a remodel or repair need who not only follow through but also do it with five-star service. Thanks CBS!

We are restoring an old farmhouse, and CBS has done 2 projects for us so far, our new front porch, which they built and recently sealed/stained, and most recently a new back deck they built for us. They are great to work with, very professional, responsive, and friendly, and the workmanship on both projects has been wonderful. They really care about getting details right and are a pleasure to work with. For our back deck, the crew of James, Brian, and Anthony did a spectacular job, working diligently to complete the job in a timely way, and they were friendly and polite in all our interactions. My husband and I will be doing more projects over the next few years and plan to work with CBS on all of them, including a new kitchen. We're so happy to have found them and are delighted in every way with their work!

I selected CBS because they had done some work for my mom and we were very pleased. I had them come out a few months ago and told them what I wanted done in my house. Clayton and Chuck came out and measured. I was given referrals to various suppliers to choose items for my remodel. Unfortunately, I reached out to them three times to let them know of my progress. I never received a response from them.

Kevin and Brian at CBS did an excellent job replacing rotted wood in the door frame, replacing hinges and rehanging the door of a 60 year old cedar shed. The process of getting an estimate was straightforward and painless and the work was completed on schedule. We couldn’t be more pleased with the results and would not hesitate to work with CBS again.

What can I say, James and his apprentice were spot on. Told me when the job would start, when it would be finished. He pulled in another couple crew members when it was vital to make sure the timeline was met. James did things that other contractors wouldn't because it would have cost more time. With the way he did the posts for my deck in front it not only looks more professional but that baby isn't going anywhere for a long, long time. This is a company I will keep in my referral list for seniors that I do home assessments (assuring safety) for them while keeping them independent living at home. To know that I can make a recommendation with total confidence assures that at risk seniors will be extremely well cared for, certainly a rarity, especially in the construction industry. I had small project, a new interior wall with a pocket door, that I was hoping to get done before the end of the year (2022). I began calling people at the beginning of October and was having a hard time finding a contractor that wasn't booked into 2023.Thankfully, I called CBS. We had a small job done by CBS - electrical and some carpentry work- and we were very pleased. James was able to match our existing woodwork and it looks great! After a small miscommunication about the work to be done, he quickly fit us back into his schedule and finished the following week. He also gave us some tips on getting the best finish, as we planned to do some painting work ourselves. We will definitely seek to work with CBS again for future projects. Everyone was professional, kind and prompt.

CBS installed new flooring membrane, new railings and a new door on a second floor balcony deck at our home. Kyle Hoy started working with us last fall, and recommended solutions to improve the outdated deck and railing. Several other roofing companies recommended CBS as the “go-to” company for the work that needed to be done at our house. The project was started on time as soon as weather permitted. Chuck, Aaron and James worked on the project. They were always on time, very competent, and respectful of our property. We enjoyed having them at our home. We were VERY satisfied with the results. Community Building Services did an excellent job of removing the tub and installing a handicap shower. They repaired the kitchen ceiling that had been damaged by a leaky roof and you can't tell that there was ever a hole in the ceiling it looks great. They also did some other repairs to my home. They do quality work. John and Anthony really know what they are doing. I give them 5 Stars.

I have had the pleasure of working with Community Building Services, LLC (CBS) on two separate projects in my home. The first project involved replacement of my floor and subfloor in a bathroom due to a leaking toilet. This was an issue that needed a quick turnaround and resolution. After calling and speaking with Chelsea in the front office, who promptly answered my telephone call and spoke at length with me about my immediate concerns, she sent Clayton (the owner) out right away to survey the work necessary and to supply an estimate. Charles got to work, showed up right on schedule and as planned every day, was kind, polite, courteous, answered all my questions, got everything taken care of quickly, and restored my flooring to like new. My second project involved small subflooring repairs, replacing flooring in my remaining bathroom and kitchen, trim work, and painting both bathrooms and my kitchen. Like the first project with Charles, Aaron and Kevin too showed up to work on time every day of the project, were kind, polite, courteous, answered all my questions, cleaned up after every day, and thoroughly cleaned everything up after completion of the project. The workmanship and professionalism of this company is exemplary. A big thank you (also from our dogs and cat, who appreciated the extra attention) to Aaron, Charles, Chelsea, Clayton, Kevin, and the rest of the CBS crew. We will be looking to CBS again for our next project!

Community Building Services has done several large remodeling projects for me. I had 30+ linear feet of a retaining wall replaced, a new deck built and a complete bathroom remodel. Every employee was timely, professional, and friendly. They always left the work site clean at the end of the day. The contractor on my bathroom remodel, Jim, was superb at keeping me informed of progress. Chuck and Scott Parker were hard working and always on time. I can't recommend them highly enough. Getting ready to do another bathroom remodel with them. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I first met Jared and Clayton when I needed a new roof and they were recommended. Since CBS installed my new roof in 2017, they have installed new windows, installed my kitchen/mud room floor, and are currently finishing up installing new floors in my entire upstairs, installing shiplap, new doors, doing plaster work, quick coating walls and doing some painting!! I would highly recommend CBS for any remodeling, roofing and building you want done!! Their floor installer/painter/general handy-dude Chuck Hall is the best!!

We have enjoyed having CBS complete 4 large projects for us in the past 5 years. Most currently, Jim headed up a complete bathroom renovation on our second full bath. As always, it was a pleasure working with him. He was prompt, informative, professional, skilled.Chuck headed up the repair of our cedar siding in a project that helped us keep our original siding in preparation for CBS to paint this year. He also worked on an addition for an enclosed porch that was our first project with CBS. The success of that first project has kept us going back to CBS for any construction we had.As with all projects we have been impressed with the respect to our privacy, care taken to minimize impact on our day to day schedule, and keeping the worksite tidy with a thorough clean-up at the end of each day. That was huge for us. We have an extensive garden and are so grateful to Chuck and the crew for keeping it intact during their work.

Community Building Services did a great job on my small flat roof. This required the tear off of existing flat roof and nearby aluminum siding. They replaced the aluminum siding with vinyl and it looks great! There wasn’t very much square footage to be repaired/replaced, but this still was a complex job. They worked hard, going above and beyond my expectations. Thank you!

Community Building Services has been renovating an important area in a building we moved into this summer. While any project like this can be disruptive in a workplace, the lead workers, John Garza and Scott Stewart, have done a superior job of keeping us informed as the work progressed and were able to minimize noise and dust issues. Community did a porch revision on our home. Once the "non-essential" work stop was lifted, the job was scheduled quickly. When issues came up with the professional look of something, it was quickly noticed by Jim and remedied by Jim and Clay without additional cost. It looks great.
