It is such a pleasure to write a review for Michigan Metal Roof / Ladd Construction, LLC. We had a superior experience with Brian Ladd. From the first moment Brian called us through the clean up and the final payment, our experience with Brian was professional, authentic, fun and thorough. I did not know of Ladd Construction before we first met with owner Brian Ladd, so I am pleased to be able to write an outstanding reference and review for someone who was completely new to us.One of the most significant aspects of a business relationship for me is the degree to which the contractor expresses integrity, perserverance and skill. You've got all three qualities in Brian. He does exactly what he promises, and he does it with patience, a high degree of knowledge and solid skill.One of the ways that Brian ensures satisfaction in his customers is to spend siginicant time with the homeowner upfront to understand all the concerns the homeowner may have regarding the job (problems with ventillation, price, ice and water shield, shingle choice, colors, flashing in problem areas, etc). I spoke to Brian about flashing around the chimney, a problem area with our back porch and ice damns that we've experienced. Brian, as well as his lead roofer, Mauricio, painstakingly listened and then researched the problem areas and produced creative and original solutions that I would not have gotten from a general roofing company. Many roofers are balancing so many customers today that providing individualized service is just not possible. I would say that individualized service is a dying tradition. However, that is not the case with Brian Ladd and Maurcio.I would also like to speak to the division of labor that worked so well between Brian Ladd (owner of the company) and Mauricio, his lead roofer. Brian will do the initital meeting and higher level interaction with the customer. For the day-to-day roofing needs, Brian has hired highly-experienced and reliable roofers. I was in consistent contact with Maurcio regarding my concerns (listed above). After talking with Brian on a regular basis about my specific concerns, Mauricio took me to the roof to personally show me the materials he and Brian had chosen to fix the problem and to demonstrate how the materials would be moulded to provide a long-term solution. Maurcio was consistently overseeing the other roofers and Brian was consistently overseeing Maurcio and the job, and staying in close touch with the homeowner.In conclusion, I would say that this was one of the best major construction experiences we have had. There is a genuine interest with both Brian and Mauricio in developing a roofing solution that meets the homeowner's specific needs, rather than simply slapping on a new roof quickly and moving on to the next customer. There is a genuine and deeply- appreciated commitment to working with the homeowner to craft solutions that are specific and cost-effective. Brian does not do a "sell-job". He creates a solution that meets everyone's needs.Brian Ladd (along with his lead roofer, Mauricio, and the entire crew), provided an outstanding roof, a highly professional experience for us, and all at a very solid and fair price. We cannot say enough about Brian Ladd and his company! Brian came out and replaced the roof on our house and garage with the latter having storm damage to one side as well. Brian was wonderful!He is extremely professional, easy to communicate with, and timely in all responses. The workmanship of the actual replacement and repair is outstanding. The project was completed in one day, including cleanup.Nothing but praise for the experience we had. Brian and his crew were awesome. We hired a builder previous to this and he left us high and dry with a finished interior to my home and an unfinished untouched roof. We were starting to see some leaking from our 9 yr. year old roof installed by my husband. We called and received a quick response and estimate. Brian was able to come up with a solution without having to completely replace the roof. The roof looks great and we were happy to have the work done so quickly in the winter. I contacted Brian Ladd to request an estimate for replacing my roof and fortunately, due to being in the area, he was available to come over right then. I was very impressed when he provided the estimate. His knowledge of different types of roofing and roof installation was evident as he inspected my home's roof, shared his findings, and explained my options for replacing the roof. I did not feel pressured by him to use his services; however, due to his level of knowledge, friendliness and caring demeanor, I signed a contract with him when he provided the estimate. I needed to have the roof replaced within 1 1/2 weeks due to insurance issues. Brian had members of his team start working on my roof within 3 days. They finished the job a few days before I needed it complete. The primary employee working on my roof was Kenny. Kenny did a great job on my roof - I was very impressed with his work and level of professionalism. Brian and his team did a superb job on my roof and I highly recommend them!

Mandi Green-walk seems to think the world revolves around her, Queen of the 1 star reviews. If a business doesn't stop everything and focus on her, she writes a 1 star review. This doesn't help people make buying decisions.Brian Ladd is busy, he gets lots of referrals from his customers. He stands behind his work. I've seen the jobs he's done and talked to his customers. His customers are pleased with his work. Brian's crew is doing my house in 2 weeks, I'll update my review when they're done.I write reviews to help others make buying decisions. If I'm mad at a business I don't write a review until I'm calm, and then I write it with the goal of helping others make buying decisions.

I live in New Bern North Carolina. Brian Ladd did a job last February 2019 for the previous home owner by installing a complete new Landmark shingle roof which included CertainTeed’s industry-leading, lifetime-limited warranty. He gave the former owner a 10 year warranty on the roof. This February 2020, our front porch roof developed a leak. I called Brian up, he said he would honor the warranty. He helped me work with a local roofing company to ensure I was a satisfied customer. He stayed in touch with me every week as to the status. Brian and his crew drove at least 2 hours and worked in very high 45 mile an hour winds. Brian kept me informed by phone throughout the process, this was during the pandemic. Called for an estimate on a leak. Brian came out, he only gave me his card and said it would be soon.. this was July 14th it is now August 18th and haven't heard from him since July 14th. So much for going local around Newaygo area. Had to find someone else to do the repair on my roof. Wouldn't recomend..

Called Brian Ladd to get a estimate he told my dad on the phone to get 1 or 2 other estimates before he would come out. I feel like that was very rude and bad buisness. We have a roof needing to get done. My dad is a veteran and has money to get the job done, he suggested i call brian after seeing his ad in a local paper. Very disappointed with this business interaction.
