I had water issues for many years and did numerous things to address it. Installed a softener, repeatedly Shock Chlorinated my well, had my well air blasted, exchanged my softener for a No Salt conditioner, installed a 5% Hydrogen Peroxide metered solution to address the Iron Bacteria in my water, added a new bladder and reset my cut-on/cut-off pressure switch. I finally called the WJR “INSIDE/OUTSIDE GUYS”and was directed to Ries Well Drilling. Scott came over and worked a few miracles and completely resolved my water problems., your dad left his legacy in you and I thank you both for fixing my water pressure problem! If this sounds even just a little familiar, just call RIES from the start and save yourself a ton of money!

Scott was wonderful! He came out on very short notice to change out a pressure tank and was totally professional, efficient, and really cared about getting my issues resolved quickly. My brother, a plumber, saw Scott's business sticker on the tank that was to be replaced and told me that Scott does great work and, even more importantly, stands behind the work that he does. That means everything to the customer these days, in my opinion! I will certainly call on Scott again in the future, and will be recommending him to friends, family, and everyone at my workplace. My wife, son and I purchased a home back in July (our first home). The seller didn’t tell us that our well was only supplying us with less than a half gallon per minute and was nasty in color to top it off. We weren’t able to take longer than a 7 minute shower, bath time for my son ended when the water would just stop coming out of the faucet which was usually about 5 minutes worth of water flow. Winter was obviously fast approaching and I called Scott after reading some of his reviews and he directed me to get him a well log from the county and to start the process for well abandonment. It was a Tuesday when I got the permit number from the county and Scott was at my house that day surveying while looking at the log sheet. Thursday he was at our house and gone by 3:30. My wife said how good they were to my son when he went out to give one of them a sucker lol she said they were extremely professional and very polite. Would definitely recommend their services to anybody looking for a replacement of a well.

We definitely recommend Ries Well Drilling! They are incredibly professional, offer good pricing, and found water for our family in 1/2 a day with no issues at all. We had a minor issue after the well was installed and Ries was back at our house immediately to resolve it. They are incredibly trustworthy and the only drilling company I would recommend.

I had Ries install a new well at my new home in September 2016. The issue I have is that Scott had drilled in a location other than the one that was discussed (30' away). Instead of him re-drilling the well, Scott proposed cutting the well head even with the ground and putting it under a irrigation valve box. Although this would still alter the location of a pool, I agreed. Scott said that he would have to wait until the spring to do the work, something I also agreed to. So 2 years later and I'm still waiting. He has only returned one call during this time. Scott said that he was really busy and would get to it in the next couple of weeks and that was spring 2018.

On a Sunday I lost water pressure on my 50 year old well. Monday, Nico from Ries came out and diagnosed a broken line between the house and well with water percolating from the ground. Tuesday he came out, excavated and repaired the broken line, only to find out that my pump was shot. Wednesday, Nico returned to extract the pump, only to have it seized at the bottom of the well, and break off in his last ditch attempt to raise it. Saturday Nico and a crew drilled the new well. Sunday Nico returned and completed the hook up of the well.As Scott, the owner, was recovering from surgery, my interaction through this process was with Nico. I cannot say enough attributes about this young man's customer service, communication skills, and work ethic!! Scott assisted me with the insurance claim and follow up chlorination treatment. Scott- keep Nico on your payroll at all costs. Very satisfied with this company.

They took their time to do it right, (I watched over their shoulder quietly and noticed their attention to detail and skilled workmanship). They were very knowledgable and took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on...and SHOWED me what was wrong with my well. The pricing was very fair. My wife and I just moved into our new house in Washington Township. We had a very tight timeline to get everything completed before Winter. Scott and his company pulled it off, we needed him in first before finishing landscape, sprinkers, and sod. The owner of my company highly recommended Ries Well Drilling, we see why now. We woke up to no running water in our house. Called a few companies in the area, and Ries Well Drilling was the only one to return my call. They were at my house an hour after speaking with a representative, and had the issue diagnosed quickly, and had the problem resolved by the afternoon. I have delayed writing this review because it is difficult to think of the correct words for this level of great work. Firstly, the attitude. Scott Reis exhibited such a winning "can do" attitude that I never once felt as though we would encounter something that couldn't be overcome. Scott considered our situation and even during the middle of a pandemic was grateful and quick about achieving his work. While doing their work they kept minimized the damage to our yard and patched up things that were even beyond the job that they had quoted. I would have accepted mistakes or accidents or possibly higher cost because of surprises because of the great attitude, but there were none! I am very much overjoyed about great businesses and leaders like Scott, and Ries Well Drilling.

On November 24 ,2019 Our family woke up early Sunday morning to NO water!!! YikesOf course having two kids in the house and going into panic mode I went on Facebook looked for recommendations and low and behold I had seven fantastic reviews sent to me about Rie’s Well Drilling company.So I put in a phone call right away on Sunday sure enough Scott the owner answered he was out first thing Monday morning and had water by noon I would highly recommend them they were very professional, kind, responsible they cleaned up their mess after they were done and his team that come out were super nice. This is my first time I have ever reviewed a company so you know I am not happy if that is the case.Was quoted $975 for replacing our well pressure tank. I should have known then not to use them because it seemed very high but was at work so I couldn't do much.....we had no water pressure. Got home and saw all they did was replace the tank and the switch. Tank was $500 and the "switch and fittings" were $475. The switch costs $15 and they literally replaced zero fittings. Complete scam and will never use them again. SO ANGRY!

We contracted Ries Well Drilling to replace a broken water line from the house to the well on a recommendation. We have an old farm, and he assured us, many times, that he had done many of them and if he broke something, he would repair it. The water line got replaced, but in the process he ripped out the electric between two barns, he DID know where that was because I showed him where it went between the barns, and unconnected a water hydrant that WAS working when he arrived. The electric in one barn did get repaired, (with parts I ran to the store to purchase) but the other one still has no power and the hydrant that WAS working when he arrived was NOT. He buried the trenches before he checked if everything worked. He seemed frustrated that the job was taking longer than expected and kept commenting, repeatedly, that he was late for another client. He left with an "I don't know why it's not working and I'll send you the bill." When he came to collect, the bill was $550 more than the high end of his quote and he said he would CHARGE me another $600 to fix the hydrant that he WAS working before he came.

My Mother in Law is eighty and her well quit working in New Haven Mi. I called Scott (Owner of Ries Well Drilling) from North Carolina. Scott went to my Mother in Laws the same day to see what the problem was. Scott had his crew there the next day and replaced her pump motor that was over forty years old and broken apart. Scott provided us an excellent quote and completed all repairs the same day. Scott and the Ries Well Drilling Team are professional, honest, and treated us like family. Thank you again Scott. My well stopped working at 5:15pm Saturday evening and I called Ries well drilling thinking no water until Monday...by 8:30am Sunday morning I had water! The owner showed up at 6:am and had to replace a burned out pump and was pleased he flushed out the well, replaced lines etc ...I would recommend this company and price was reasonable too!

I need to get my well replaced so I called Ries to see if they would help. I'm trying to support small, local business and he just acted like I was an inconvenience. Well "sir" don't advertise that your business hours are until 5pm if you don't have the time to answer the phone. Thank for wasting both our time.Unless your looking to waste your time and get treated badly over the phone like me and other reviewers just call somebody else!
