We have had 2 very different projects contracted by Kory and his team with Wausau homes in the past year. The first was a remodel turning an old barn into a cabin getaway. Kory had very interesting ideas for us on how to use the space to the maximum while preserving the integrity of the old barn. It turned out beautifully. Our second project was a basement remodel after flooding. It’s more beautiful and useful now than before. Kory’s subcontractors are friendly, efficient and do amazing work! They were scheduled in great timing, cleaned up all debris from the job site, and I trusted them around my children and pets. We have had wonderful experiences with Wausau!

We had previously built a house about 20 years ago with another builder and we had no desire to repeat that experience. Wausau Homes of Cold Spring was where we started a new journey with our new house. We can definitely say the experience was so much better! Our first thought was we were going to shop around but after spending that first day with Kory and seeing all he and Wausau Homes had to offer, our search stopped right there.Kory was wonderful to work with every step of this process. He was great at explaining every step along the way. We cannot say enough for how patient he was or how he listened to every detail that we were looking for in our new house. Wausau Homes out of Cold Spring is filled with a group of people who are experts in building homes and friendships. They say they're "redefining the building experience" and that is exactly what they did. Kory and his team made the entire process fun, easy, exciting and rewarding! Kory helped us make many decisions about our home and there isn't one that we regret. We picked out a floor plan we liked and with just a few minor adjustments fell in love with it. After that, we were able to choose everything from their cozy office - lights, cupboards, trim, siding, and the list goes on... it was exactly what we needed to make the building process work for us! We were able to be involved with some of the project - painting and flooring - that was fun and helped keep us within our budget. From the minute we walked in the door, and still to this day, Kory has made sure we love everything about our home and truly made our dreams become a reality! When I started this journey, I was terrified. This was a new beginning for me. Kory was great with explaining every step of the way. He was patient and a good listener. I got my front porch that I always wanted and was able to design my home to make it affordable for me. I did not feel judged for the decisions I made, nor for my indecisiveness with choosing a front door! I felt like I could call and ask questions and that I was important. Knowing how much my house was going to cost with the guaranteed pricing was also helpful. The crews working on my house were all great as well.My house turned out amazing! It felt like home, my home, from the very beginning.I couldn't have asked for a better experience! Being able to walk around the design studio and choose all the elements of my home in one room was wonderful. They listen to you. They give you direction when needed.i would highly recommend them. Building a new house is not an easy fast thing. If you want to be hands on you can or hands off like what I wanted They will work with you.
