We have used BWB twice for remodeling projects - one for finishing/remodeling our walk-up attic and the other for rebuilding a rotting porch/patio overhang. With a 110 year old house, creativity is important and being able to blend old and new. BWB worked with us in meeting our budget, updating and finishing the attic space (with significant improvement in energy efficiency from foam insulation), and then building a new porch overhang to include a stainless grilling counter prep area. They are friendly, high quality, and trustworthy. We hired Better World Builders for a huge amount of renovations in our 1950s rambler. They are creative and kind and work hard everyday. They cleaned up after themselves every day. I always felt comfortable having them in our home. Everything turned out really well. Learn from my mistake - stay away from Better World Builders. They charged me 4,800 for an estimate (40 hours of work FOR AN ESTIMATE X 120HR) and provided, in return, what amounted to a three paragraph email. Two subsequent contractors provided twenty page estimates FOR FREE after being in my home for just a few hours. I asked for the return of my 4,800, and they refused. I am now left with no other option than to pursue legal action. You don't want this headache. There are plenty of companies in this town to work on your home, Better World Builders should be at the bottom of your list.

A complex re-siding job was completed on time and budget, dealing with additional insulation, many door& window openings with precision. Never had any issues with contact, billing, or responsiveness. Building is never 100% predictable, but this was among my best experiences.Service: Remodeling

I worked for a separate construction company and we worked side by side with Better World Builders and they were professional and high quality. I guess the good folks don't get the credit they deserve sometimes. - I highly recommend Better World Builders.

BWB are awesome at what they do. They fully demolished and remodeled our kitchen and the areas around it, and we now have the coolest kitchen I've ever seen. Professional throughout, always responsive, communicative, comprehensive, brought excellent subcontractors (plumbing, electricians, drywall, etc), and happily advised on issues that were out of scope.The planning and bidding phase was, by far, better than what we experienced from others competitors. We worked through a few cycles of drawings, met with suppliers (who all clearly think highly of Leon and the crew), and collaborated on the design until we got to a vision that was even better than we originally had in mind.The crew were professional, punctual, flexible, respectful, always tidy, and easy to be around. This was a big job and we all spent a lot of time together, so it's hard to stress enough how important this part was. It was easy to have them in the house while it was under construction.I can't say enough. I didn't expect it to go this well because I've never hired contractors who were so good.
