The crew totally rebuilt and reinforced all my roof trusses which were crushed by the record snowfall in our area. Levi L. and the team came up with the brilliant suggestion to do this without a total gable to gable roof removal. Considering we were entering the 2023 winter season this would reduce the risk of further damage to the structure not to mention freezing of the water pipes. Our home with a finished ceiling and painted walls looks better than it did originally. Thank you Bricklemyers for helping us where others didn't have the time or would not take the job.

In 2022 Bruckelmyer built us a beautiful home with detached shop/storage building. In spite of supply chain and weather challenges we moved in almost two months earlier than initially promised. These guys are straight shooters who stand behind their work, keep you informed, are very concerned about their reputation, and above all want to see the customer satisfied. Throughout the project I had the feeling they weren’t just building the house for us, but for anybody who might see it in the future and ask “Who built this house?” Here are a few examples of how they operate, from our experience:(1) The concrete pour by a subcontractor for the detached building left some ripples in the surface. I told the project manager it was OK for a shop floor but he insisted it wasn’t. He rented a large buffer and had one of his guys spend two days polishing the floor, which made it look great.2). Our kitchen design included a pantry with custom doors and shelves. The new fridge fit nicely into its intended spot next to the pantry, but alas the space was too tight for the door to open (oops). This led to most of the pantry being ripped out and its door relocated. When this was finished Bruckelmyer decided the whole design of the pantry was now flawed. The head of their cabinet shop came out, spent two days taking measurements and talking to my wife, and returned a week later with an entirely new design using drawers instead of shelves. It’s a marvel of ingenuity and even better than the original concept.(3). After we had been living in the house a few months we noticed gaps appearing in the upstairs LVP flooring. I didn’t think it was a big deal and doubted Bruckelmyer would agree to address it but my wife thought otherwise. Out came a Bruckelmyer exec who immediately agreed with my wife. The flooring had been installed by a sub but rather than waste time arguing with them Bruckelmyer moved our furniture (6 rooms worth) off the floor, pulled out the flooring, put down new underlayment, brought in a different brand of LVP, paid a different guy to install it, and then moved the furniture back. At last report they were working with the flooring manufacturer and installer to recover the cost but that end of it was never a concern of ours.None of these issues resulted in extra cost to us. The initial quote was what we paid. Like I said, these guys take their reputation and customer satisfaction seriously.

A friend of my wife’s gave us the recombination to hired BB to do a side porch rebuild when no other contractor would give us the time of day to give us an estimate because the project being to small. It was the best decision we ever made. From start to finish everyone involved was amazing. Thanks so much for having a great company that cares about the little projects just as much as the bigger projects. The contractor came and looked at my project for an estimate. I specifically told them that if the cost was above a certain amount, I was not interested in completing the entire project as it would not be in my budget. He said it should be under my number. Then, he got back to me a week later and wanted $800 for a “design” - a design of a walk-in closet ? He said the “design” may cost up to $1200. I said that I had never heard of this for such a small project and reluctantly agreed. They then came back with an absolutely ridiculous estimate 3 1/2 times my budget. I was shocked and after checking with other contractors, called them back and demanded my $800 back.After consulting with a home inspector friend of mine, they have a bad reputation for this and other instances of taking advantage of people. My friend has uncovered numerous botched jobs and projects that were just temporarily fixed and clients charged a lot of money thinking the projects were completed with good workmanship.Beware!!

I first heard of Bruckelmyer Brothers when I was on a home tour in Duluth. One of the older victorian homes had recently been refurbished and I asked the owners who had done the work. About a year after that I moved my ailing parents to Duluth. My mother has alzheimer's and when my father had a stroke I called Bruckelmyer's to see if they could redo the downstairs bathroom to accommodate a shower. They responded promptly and provided an estimate. The craftsmanship of the work was remarkable but even more impressive was how very kind and patient all the gentlemen were with my mother. It was hard for her as she did not understand why they were there. Everyone was so outstanding and they work fast and beautifully. They did not go above the estimate and the bathroom looks like it was always part of the house. I have called them on several occasion after the bathroom install to do some smaller jobs. Again, they were fast and the work is outstanding. Everyone who I met was kind and hard working. I am so happy I went on that home tour!!
