Thank you to Johnson Masonry for the excellent work they did on our home this summer. They constructed a beautiful stone fireplace, added on a 3 season porch, added a stamped cement patio and a large cement garage apron on our home. Thank you to project manager Kyle, mason Shawn and Trent, and carpenter Thomas for their professional work. You could count on the crew to show up on time, keep on schedule, provide good communication, and always ask for your feedback. They cleaned up each day and kept the interior fireplace project completely enclosed to minimize dust and debris. We are very pleased with their professional work on these projects.

Dean, Travis and the entire JM team were great to wrk with. Project went as planned and on time. Even when weather began to shift the schedule they took advantage of calm days and worked longer hours and off schedule as needed. Communicating with us every detail along the way. We have a seasonal cabin that needed the shoreline restored due to erosion. we hired JM Inc to put in a boulder wall and restore the shore behind it. The project was completed late last fall. We live about 90 min from the cabin so we weren't there when the project was done. The team that worked on the project did a good job of providing updates and pictures of the progress. Unfortunately the weather turned and we were unable to get a good view of the project until this spring. There were a few things we wanted tweaked. The team at JM were very responsive and agreeable to what we asked them to do. They were back out within a few days and got it done to our satisfaction. We would like to thank Cody who handled the initial project and Jamie and Cam who did the tweaks this spring for their good work. We would also like to thank Cory and Dean for being so responsive!! J and M is a great company to work with. They did a superlative job replacing our front steps.Communications were excellent. Dean was especially helpful with project planning. Cory, our project coordinator, also made it easy to get in touch with him by using text messages to let me know when he would be at the house. All texts were answered in a timely manner. Also, the daily updates on the portal were helpful.The crew led by Ethan was competent. They took the time to answer my questions each day and several times they even moved the truck and trailer out of the driveway so I could use the garage. They even returned my garbage cans to the house on trash day.Would definitely consider them do other projects.

I recently had JM Inc. install a custom limestone fireplace mantel in my living room. A hearty thank you to Cody and his team for their tireless perfectionism throughout our multi-week stucco project. We gave JM a tough job, with cracks and buckling all over the place—all ground out and expertly patched up with multiple layers of waterproofing, stucco, paint, etc. The team impressed us with their commitment to taking the time to get the job done, in spite of the sometimes inhospitable late-fall weather as well as the curveballs our old house loved to throw their way. Five stars are not enough! Dean the project consultant listened to our concerns and our fears and worked with us perfectly to get our back porch lifted and our driveway retaining walls completed within our budget! Our project engineer Corey kept in contact with us for every step. On the job Foreman Jamie when asked a question stopped what he was doing put it down turned and looked at me to answered my question and waited until I was done. Cam was always polite and friendly and hard working. JM INC, DULUTH, MNJANET SJM Inc removed a damaged patio in the backyard and replaced it with a 10’ by 16’ Cedar, 3-Season EZ Screen room, with a metal roof, Infertec heater, and Casa Delta DC, dark walnut ceiling fan/light.They also arranged delivery of a Generac Stand-Alone Generator to my home, including setup, and start-up.They were all very professional and answered any questions I had. They arrived on time and worked steadily on their projects.Thanks to Dean, Senior Project Consultant and Ben for the 3-season room design; Erika gave me initial status updates; Project Manager Cory kept me informed about all JM Inc schedules; Cory also made sure I knew the schedules of the people who delivered and setup the generator, the electrician, plumbers, and roofers (all companies other than JM Inc); Amy provided Owner Invoices and payment history; Blayke helped me choose my blinds; Concrete Foreman, Cody and his crew removed a damaged patio, built a foundation for the new room and brought concrete from the concrete truck in the driveway to the back of the house in wheelbarrows, and then stamped the concrete; Carpenter Thomas did a great job building the room and he and Trent installed the EZ windows/screens and the door leading to the outside; and Cody (a second carpenter) repaired damaged drywall in my living room. After a roofing company completed the metal roof, Chase and Derek hung blinds and then completely cleaned the room and painted the area of the drywall repair and around the new switch plates in the interior of the home.I am incredibly happy with my completed 3-season room. The cedar has a beautiful smell and I love the color of the cedar, inside and out. The blinds provide privacy and let me decide how much natural light I want in the room. The Infertec heater warms the room quickly and the fan/light has a hand-held control.My family recommended JM Inc to me, and I would happily recommend JM Inc to friends and neighbors. I would hire them again for another project.

Johnston Masonry built a tiered retaining wall for me this fall (2019) exceeding my expectations. The crew that worked on my wall were all eager to please and asked me questions related to how I wanted things done during the construction phase. The weather was not very accommodating so it did take a little longer than originally planned but was completed in a relatively short time.Numerous neighbors have stopped by and commented on the retaining walls and how nice they look and how they improved my curb appeal.Overall they did an excellent job and I strongly recommend their services.

We had a great experience with JM from start to finish. We had an interior cabin remodel, a new cap and flashing put on our chimney, conversion of wood burning fireplace to gas insert, and installation of mini split air conditioning. Tom and Logan did beautiful work - it looks like a whole new cabin! Kyle was an awesome coordinator, taking our calls and questions at all times. We had a delayed start due to weather and he even came and started our demo early so we could still use the cabin for Memorial Day weekend. Dean was great and worked with us thoroughly on the estimate and the final walk through, making sure everything was to our liking. Amy and Erika were awesome with any other questions and concerns we had. Everyone was fantastic - JM is a well oiled machine and we would definitely recommend!
