In Sept 2022 Mike Stroede, new owner, of Perrault Construction agreed to put dark green steel siding and 4 new patio doors on my house. He said the work would begin the first week of May 2023 and be complete by the end of May 2023. Despite 8 months between Sept 2022 and May 2023, Mike said he could not take less than 1/2 down ($30,000) in Sept 2022 because he had to order the materials. Over the next 9 months, I could only reach him by email (unreliably) because when I called the office he was always out of town or on vacation. No one arrived in May and eventually I was told the siding I wanted was unavailable. On June 14, 2023 I requested the contract be cancelled and my money returned. I was told it would be less the cost of the 4 patio doors. I said I wanted the check and the doors delivered to my house in three days. 10 days later a check arrived for the full amount. Because of the large amount of the check, my bank would not release the funds for 3 weeks.

Stopped at their booth at Arrowhead outdoor show at DECC. The man at the booth couldn't be bothered to answer any questions but gave us a business card to call office for a quote. We called twice requesting an appointment & no call back. After asking around, we're glad they didn't respond.Well Mike, not sure who you left those messages for, it was not us.🤷 Whomever we spoke with preferred "sun on their face" vs the sunroom I was considering. At any rate, we're going in a different direction. Best of luck this weekend!

Perrault Construction did an amazing job replacing my garage roof. The initial estimate was done timely and they clearly communicated the extent of work that needed to be done as well as the timelines for doing it. The work was done quickly and the build quality was beyond outstanding. They kept me informed at each stage of the process with a level of service that I would describe as both professional and friendly. I was even impressed by their cleanup at the end of the project. Could not find anyone to recommend a local roofing contractor so went with Perrault as they are going to be around for the 30 years parts and labor warranty.(later BRB services was highly recommended to me). Cost 12K for architectural shingles on a 1200 sqft simple rambler and I put half down up front. No deviation from estimate. They were booked out 1 month which was perfect as i was busy with guests and had to get the gutter guards off first as they advised that they would ruin them during demo.Two weeks later I hear a thump on my roof and find a crew had showed up unannounced to start the job. None spoke English but was able to shut them down and call office who sent them away. They did same thing that morning to a lady in the area and she let them start. Looks like most companies use Mexican crews so you are really hiring them and hope the company vetted them for experience. Was told that This was the first year for this crew.So set up an appt and they showed up but no tools or supplies had been delivered yet so they sat around for 2 hours....this caused them to hurry up to finish roofing by days end. The company liaison does not stay on the job but is in the area to troubleshoot. The crew leader did speak some English and seemed competent but one guy on crew looked like a beginner.Large Piles of demo shingles were stacked on gutters but no damage. Also no ladder arms to keep weight off of gutters so Jerry made them go up the sides. They ran out of ridge vent so they shorted main roof by 5 feet on each end and did not put any ridge vent on the small roof that used to be attached garage but it is now a family room.....And the small roof is the roof that had all of the ice dams so it really needed ventilation. Had them move bathroom vent fan farther up towards peak but checked and no flow....turns out fan did not have flexible ducting so they did not connect anything to new vent and deadened vent pipe into underside of roof.....decided to just have them put vent back to where it was before... down by the eve. Soil stack extension was not put back on. They got all of shingles on by end of day.To be clear I caught all of this stuff and told Jerry who made them come back next day to fix mistakes. Next day Crew leader is yelling at a guy and pointing at the south end edge of one side....so he tears off 3 feet from top to bottom and redoes it...maybe misaligned? But if I did not have some idea of how things should go probably none of this would have been fixed. Everything looks good and no small leak anymore. Jerry came back a few days later and did final inspection. Really should have an on-site rep for the whole job though.

Last winter and too much snow required us to have our entire roof removed, trusses ordered and placed, and an entire new roof put on. Quite an extensive job. We chose Perrault Construction and they did a FANTASTIC job. They gave us a very fair quote which they stuck to, had exceptionally professional and hard-working employees, were responsive and attentive whenever I called Sean (and I called him a lot), very pleasant office staff, and a work crew that never even complained about our barking dogs while they were working. I would recommend them 100 % to anyone with any construction needs. If I could give them more than 5 stars, I would. Linda Kelleher

Perrault replaced a roof on my house in 2007. Over the years shingles are blowing off the house. I had another roofer try to figure out the problem & it turns out instead of four nails per shingle there are only two. I called Perrault & explained the situation & was told there is no warranty & was offered a new roof at my expense. Unsatisfactory!Service: Roof installation

I had new siding and windows installed. Their quotes were competitive with the other bids.It was a big job and the work stretched out several months due to materials and personnel delays. But, this was 2022 and shortages and delays were everywhere. When I had concerns about timelines, I could always easily get in touch with the project manager.Ultimately, the work was done well and the workers were professional. I was particularly impressed by (1) their ability to remove old windows covered in lead with zero dust in the house (they sealed the inside with plastic and pulled them out through the outer wall), (2) their craftsmanship in figuring out how to match our 100 year-old fascia, (3) their general mastery of how to correctly install windows and siding, and (4) their communication with me whenever an issue came up.Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to call them again. They are a serious construction company that did professional work at a fair price. They were not fast, but I am happy with how the project turned out.Service: Exterior finishing

In February of 2021 I contacted Jim Perrault Construction about a roof repair. I have an older home which had a severe ice dam problem and required snow removal after almost every snow event in order to prevent eventual water leaks into the house.After my initial contact Jim Perrault responded in a day or two and we set an appointment to have my roof evaluated. When Jim visited my property I was impressed because he said "I know exactly how to fix your problem". He explained the process he would use and told me he would send a quote for the cost of the repair within a few days. I received the quote which included a complete list of work to be done and an estimate of the time required to complete the job. The quote was very reasonable and I hired Perrault Construction for the job.The job was scheduled for late April, 2021 and Jim's staff kept me informed of the start date, materials delivery, etc. When the work crew arrived they informed me of the work to be done each day and all work was completed in a professional manner. When they left my home all demolition and construction materials were removed from the site. Clean up was exceptional. Most of all the roof looked beautiful.There was one small problem I discovered after the work crew left the job site. I contacted Jim and the next morning a worker returned to my home and completed the repair to my satisfaction.Working with Jim Perrault Construction was a very satisfying process. All work completed was done in a professional and highly skilled manner at a reasonable cost. Most of all the recommended work solved the severe ice dam problem that had persisted for years. There were no ice dams or water problems during the entire 2021-2022 winter season.I would defiantly hire Jim Perrault Construction again and would recommend his company to anyone contemplating a home construction project.

They were timely in being able to visit and do a walkaround of our house as well as providing their quotation which was very competitive with the other quotes. Unfortunately all of the quotes were more than we wanted to spend so we passed on the project.

Actually, my 5 star ⭐️ rating is for two separate projects completed at my home by Perrault Construction. The first was a year ago which was the removal and replacement of a rubber roof on the sun room of my home. Work was completed promptly by two professionals and clean-up was excellent. The cost of the project was fair and reasonable and, in fact, the lowest of three bids. The second project was completed last week (June 2020). This job was to remove and replace the flashings around the chimney of my home as well as the removal and replacement of a damaged gutter on my porch. Jim Perrault inspected the project within a day or two of my call to him. Jim gave an estimate and the work was completed by two professionals in one day within two weeks of my call. Again, excellent work at a fair price that done promptly. Clean-up was complete and thorough. I highly recommend Perrault Construction.

"Tim" from Perrault Construction stopped by and gave the damage of my house from July storm a quick look. Not really looking at it too thoroughly. He sat down with me and explained how insurance works. He asked me to just email the insurance workup to the office. This had the exact amounts for what my insurance adjuster wrote up. Felt a little odd that before they would give me a quote they wanted this. Should have asked them to give me quote without it. This was almost 2 months ago. I emailed and called and left message. No reply.

Quick response, great service even though I had a smaller roof repair job. Came through for me on a tight timeline due to sale of home at a busy time of year. Quoted and found additional issues during fix but were able to included them within the original quote even though stayed longer than quoted. Would recommend and will use again.

Had Mike come and give us an estimate for new large window and new large front entry door. Over a month later we still have heard nothing. We also talked about a basement finishing. Called the office and they said they would get back to us, two weeks ago. I wanted to give them my business, but we are forced to look elsewhere.Any good recommendations?

I just had Perrault Construction do a repair job for a cost of approx. $6000. What should have been a one week job for two workers ended up being a two full month fiasco for the single worker they sent. He was a good person but had to hang over twenty full sheets of sheet rock and cedar paneling by himself. No one ever checked up on him nor asked me how the job was progressing. (Or not progressing). In the two months, most of the work occurred between 5:00 and 9:00 at night with hammering and sawing going on most of the time. It drove our family and near neighbor crazy. I would never consider hiring this contractor again if he was half the cost of the next bidder.
