As long time homeowners, this was our fourth roof and far the most professionally installed from start to finish. We are just knocked out by the quality and efficiency of J.Robert’s overall. The price was extremely competitive (best out of five bids) and worth every penny. The crew was incredibly fast but without cutting any corners or compromising their work. As part of the job we had a solar tube installed through a complex network of nested rooflines. The carpenter did a beautiful job and their cost was a fraction of other bids. They cleaned everything up so well that the backyard ended up cleaner than it was before they arrived on site! We can’t recommend them highly enough.Services: Gutter installation, Roof installation

We had water spots on our ceiling and thought we had a roof leak. We called several local roofing companies and they never called us back. I eventually found great reviews on J. Robert roofing and sent them a message through NextDoor. Alan called me as soon as he saw my message even though he knew from my description that it probably wasn’t actually a roof leak. He explained in detail what it really was and how to avoid the problem in the future. Even though the company made no money from the phone call, he showed that they actually care about people and not just the bottom line. This experience made me want to call them first for any problems we have in the future!

Our area recently had a large hail storm and our neighborhood was flooded with roofers knocking on the door. I appreciated that J Robert Roofing wasn't going door to door and only targeted our area to mail a flyer out too allowing me to research and pick my contractor. I also liked my consult was with owner, not with a young kid trying to sell me getting a new roof. I was one of the last people in my area to pick a contractor and one of the first to get my new roof installed. Crew was incredibly efficient and got job done in one morning, as we work from home, it was very nice to only have crew and noise from roofing company for half a day. Great experience working with Bob, Alan and team to reshingle the roof on my home. Bob made the estimate process seem effortless while providing great rates, roofing details, references, etc.. It took only 1 day for the J Robert team to tear off, lay shingles and clean up debris around my home so that was very nice. Quality work. Definitely recommend!

J Robert is top tier professional and an absolute master of their craft. We had two layers of old shingles removed and a new roof installed in one day. The crew was timely, professional, and installed an amazing looking roof. They took incredible care to clean all debris and put everything back the way it was. They even raked all the pieces out of my mulch.Working with Bob in advanced of the installation was absolutely seamless. We contacted Bob because of the recommendation from Nextdoor. From cost estimate to roof installation, it only took 10 days (including the dumpster)! Lighting speed! Bob is a roof/house expert. He can tell the roof by walking on it! Among four inspectors we had, he was only one who figured out all the problems we had. He has all the answers to your questions, whether it's relative to the roof or not. The crew was amazing too. "Messy" as in other reviews, but they did a great job cleaning up. Bob and Allan even made extra trips to deliver fascia and three boards overhanging the balcony before roofing day, so we could get them painted ahead of time. All neighbors appraised the new appearance of our roof. As for the quality, if I didn't come back to update my review in the following years, it must mean good. The only concern/suggestion I have is, --please warn/inform fellow crew members/homeowners before using the leaf blower to clean the roof. We were helping picking up debris and nails along with two crew member when the cloud of silica dust fell. My poor little boy was in the midst of it because he was "helping" with the nails too. It would be nice if we knew beforehand. Maybe Bob could show the picture of dust blowing as well when explaining the cleanup procedure? It would be ideal for the foreman to wear mask too while cutting, since inhaling silica would damage lungs permanently. ( My boy wakes up coughing for the past days... Homeowners, please don't help with the cleanup!) That being said, I'd still recommend J Robert Roofing for their excellent job done! Many thanks.Service: Roof installation

Bob and his crew were wonderful to work with. Bob was patient in helping us understand the difference between alternative shingles and left samples to compare. His list of prior customers using the same shingles allowed us to have greater confidence in our choice. It was a competitor who first knocked on our door to point out our hail damage…but we choseJRF because of the confidence we had in Bob. His crew proved to be as good to work with as Bob…courteous, efficient and relatively quiet. In the time since they finished the roof replacement we have found only two random nails around the house…ONLY TWO!I was expecting our roof replacement to be an unpleasant necessity. Bob and his team made it very pleasant. I recommend to not even considering alternatives and choose JRF. I am sure others are good - but no one is better. Cheers

It was a great experience having Bob's team replace our shingles. We happened to be out of town when they were available to work on it so they sent pictures of the completion which the work was all completed in one day. It was great to come home to great looking shingles and a clean yard. So definitely recommend J Robert Roofing, professional and knowledgable.

Bob is by far and above the best roofer in the area! His team is exceptional and efficient and Bob himself is amazing to deal with. We had our roof entirely replaced with insurance after a hail storm and Bob was able to easily walk us through the entire process. He was so professional the entire time and kept me updated throughout the whole ordeal. When it was time to choose colors and types of shingle, he didn't pressure us at all and let us take our time deciding colors and types. We went with the upgraded stage 4 shingle which is highly hail resistant (and a bit more expensive) and Bob assured us it was money well spent in both not having to worry about the shingle as much as well as money savings with insurance. Man was he right!! I've saved a bundle on my insurance because of this upgraded shingle, which will last years and pay for itself over and over again.Bob also designed his own mechanism which he installs on every home he does that is a better version of a cover for the exhaust pipes on the roof. He also was able to help to make sure that some of the trim on the outside of the house which had failed was replaced during the roofing work, and finally recommended his colleague to help redo all of my gutters- another great choice as they did an awesome job!Thank you Bob for being an amazing resource and just the absolute best to speak with and do business with. My neighbor used Bob's service as well and his roof looks amazing too!

Bob and his crew did a great job, we highly recommend him. Bob suggested I ask my insurance agent about a reduction in premium for class 4 shingles, I did, and my premium was reduced by over $2,000. He was also able to use a neighbors driveway to deliver material to our roof with a bucket truck vs climbing a ladder with all the bundles. From the first contact communication was great. Bob came out for a roof assessment within the first week, provided an honest assessment even though that wouldn't necessarily result in immediate business for him, and an on the spot quote that was within 200$ of the final quote.He also informed me about options I didn't even know were available to save money on my home insurance.He scheduled the roof replacement on one of our preferred days, and they completed the work in one day, cleaning up everything very thoroughly. (I think I found one nail so far.)Even after the work was done, I noticed something I hadn't noticed before the next time it rained, and Bob came out within days of me bringing it up to make sure it wasn't caused by the roof replacement (which it wasn't).My roof should be good for a long time now but if I need gutter or siding work done he'll be the first I call.

We contacted Bob and his crew after buying our house for a roof replacement based on the great reviews here around 2 years ago. We needed the roofing replaced quickly due to insurance reasons and they were able to give us a fast quote and started work within our set timeline. It was finally time to replace the roof on our modest ranch home this year and I was determined to do my homework before hiring a contractor. I obtained a total of five quotes - three from local contractors and two from roofing companies with a broader (regional) footprint.J. Robert Roofing had mailed postcards out in the spring; the timing was perfect; I gave Bob a call. Unlike some contractors which relied solely on satellite imagery, Bob climbed up on the roof to complete a thorough inspection. Here's one of the many reasons to hire J. Robert Roofing - Bob doesn't give you a 'sales pitch'. He tells you what's needed, how much it will cost and under what circumstances the quote could change. The 'sales pitch' was simply a conversation that respected my time and was void of any puffery. I really appreciated Bob's personal approach and low key, informative presentation style.Another way in which Bob differentiated himself from other contractors - he strongly encouraged us (a) call one of his many past customers for a referral, and (b) to drive past the houses he's re-roofed and see what a shingle color looks like on a house in broad daylight. Seeing the difference live and in person between three or four gray shingles gave us great confidence when finalizing our color choice. In the end, we hired J. Robert Roofing in part because of the Goldilocks bid - not the cheapest and not the most expensive - but primarily for the tremendous VALUE we saw in that bid.I'm not 'giving' J. Bob is a dependable roofing professional who delivers high-quality work. We had an old roof that needed to be fixed; instead of simply providing a quote for a complete replacement, he took the time to investigate the problem, patiently explained to us what went wrong, and provided us with a practical solution. We ended up not having to have the whole roof replaced, just the front part of the house that needed to be fixed. His cost is very reasonable as well. Additionally, he also strived to deliver high-quality work, to the point that he replaced portions of the roof (somewhat outside of scope of project, but he noticed that portion needing replacement) at no cost to us. He is that dedicated to his trade! He is honest, cares about his customers' long-term needs, and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure high-quality work is done. He (and his team) is meticulous in delivering his work and is very knowledgeable in roofing. To this day (work was done 5 years ago), the roof he repaired is going strong and looks like-new. Finally, I appreciate how he backs up his workmanship by offering a 20-year warranty. That gives us a good peace of mind. After two separate estimates that seemed overpriced and questionable I did more research and came across J. Robert Roofing. The reviews were too good to be true so I called to schedule an estimate. Bob answered immediately and we discussed my issue on the roof. He came over that day immediately after our discussion. He was informative and explained everything he was seeing wrong. Not only did he provide better service than the other companies but he was also more competitively priced. I was assured the work could be completed in one day exactly how we discussed.The end result exceeded expectation and I was left with a new roof without a trace of shingle or nails left behind. We hired Bob with J Robert Roofing a year ago to replace a storm damaged roof covered by insurance. I had posted a review then, but want to add more at this time. Bob is very professional and knows the roofing business from estimation to application with customer service foremost! I totally agree with the entire post earlier this summer from Michelle Barry about quality, attention to detail, construction knowledge, friendly, respectful and responsible service from all employees as well as recommendations for the best roof covering that also saved us money on our homeowners insurance. He also has a list of local references spanning a 17 year period.Recently, my neighbor who had a roof installed by a different company, was having a roof leak. She was not having any success getting the prior roofing company to respond to her problem. My new roof, from another contractor, was leaking in my kitchen. To make matters worse, the company that installed it was slow to return my phone calls, and I had little confidence or hope that they could solve the issue. So, I reached out to J Robert Roofing. Bob immediately identified that kitchen roof vent was installed incorrectly. The previous roofer didn’t even know how to install a simple roof vent.  Now, I have learned it is better to have someone with actual trade knowledge running your project. Since the September 20' storms, I've been working with a number of roof contractors who never met my expectations.
