I had been struggling all summer, with several contractors to get someone to take on the project of repairs to my collapsing garage. Within 2 weeks of contacting Expert Building Services, I had my garage reinforced till they could actually complete all the repairs. They showed genuine concern for my predicament and making sure that I felt safe using the garage. They even found someone to shovel off the roof for me through the winter should we experience excessive snowfall and it needs to be removed to ease the load on the temporary supports.I will update my review, once the actual repairs are done (hopefully in early spring), but so far they have impressed to me that they actually want to help their customers and make it right.Services: General construction, Roof repair

John and his crew from Expert Building Services leveled our deck on our home and landscaped around the house. They worked in a timely manner and were receptive to any changes. The end result is great! About 5 years ago I had them level our bunk house and replace the windows and we were so impressed with their work that we hired them again for this most recent project. I would recommend them for any of your household needs.

I called John at 8 a.m. and he was there by 10 a.m. He assessed the issues and gave me a variety of solutions. Very professional and knowledgeable.Update: The project was completed as planned and we were very pleased with the results. All the people that worked on the project were skilled, motivated, friendly and cleaned up the area before they left. We had John and his crew install an egress window in our home at the end of May 2018. I really appreciated that they showed up when they said they would, they were respectful of our home, the cleaned up the site well when they were done and John went above and beyond making our landscaping match the other side of the house (it was not expected of him to do, he just did it to be nice). Our new window has added a much needed bedroom to our home that will be enjoyed for years to come. Our final price was no more than the quote we were given which we really appreciated! Thank you John & crew, we'll be calling you again when we have more projects to do.

Would definitely steer clear of this outfit, apparently scamming insurance companies is their deal. "We charge $300 to give a bid!" "Don't worry, the insurance company will pay it!' Funny, I thought the insurance company paid to fix your property that was damaged. How is adding unnecessary costs to the project helping anyone but the crooks taking the easy money? If they're willing to scam the insurance company, they'll scam you without hesitation!

The #1 thing that comes to mind when I rave about Expert Building services is how incredibly happy and responsive both Johns are.Always, and I mean always returned my call sooner than expected,I truly felt that they were here to help me rather than just work.Expert Building Services informed of their upcoming schedule, including when I could expect them and they actually showed up!! every time.the project included many small projects along with new roofing and all was well coordinated. The only aspect of the whole project that I believe could've been improved was the Electrical work.but again, Expert Building Services responded quickly and appropriately to resolve the situation.I will definitely use them again if needed.THANK YOU John David,John Michael and crew.Services: Painting, Exterior painting, Remodeling

I have been trying for 4 summers to get a contractor to build us a deck, I sure do understand that everyone is extremely busy and am glad they are .I got ahold of John @ Expert Building Services, tI had to leave a message, figured I’d never hear from them, called me back in a few minutes, he was over for a visit in a couple days, he said they were very busy, I was willing to be on a long list, they suddenly had a cancellation , and we have a beautiful new deck, They worked quickly, knew what they were doing, cleaned up nicely, great job. I called in the morning to get my daughters TV mounted on her wall. They were there within two hours, did an excellent job!! The man was quick and very professional. The cost was not bad either. We've had Expert Building Services do several upgrades for us. Expert Building Services has insulated our cabin walls, fixed the foundation, Spread class 5 to build up our driveway, install new windows and screen doors and they'll soon be installing new countertops, sink, and cabinets. Everyone we've worked with from Expert Building Services is personable, attentive, and easy to work with. We initially contacted Expert Building to repair damage done to our 110 year-old house caused by roof-ice backup. John came to our house and spent a significant amount of time assessing the damage, discussing corrective action to prevent reoccurrence in the future, and asked our preference on a completion date. We appreciated the opportunity to provide input as we wish to preserve the integrity of our beautiful old house.In the end, we included replacement of a ‘special order’ exterior door, a bathroom remodel, and a long overdue chimney repair job. To date, all work has been done very well and on the agreed upon time schedule....and all of this was done in compliance with the MN Stay-At-Home order.
