We had Kuhl’s Contracting install self-regulating heat cable in our gutters.Initially, Brooke came to see the potential project, identify/clarify our needs, and give an estimate. She was very easy to talk to, really understood what I was saying, and provided thoughtful, expert advice on how we would best complete this project.Today, Paul came to do the install. Like Brooke, Paul was also very easy to talk to, very friendly, very interested in making sure that his understanding of how the project was to be completed was also my understanding of how the project was to be completed. After the install, he walked around the house with me to show me the completed work and explained how the cable was laid, explained how I would operate the system, modified any outlets and plug-ins to our mutual satisfaction. My husband and I are VERY impressed with the communication and quality of work from Paul. Thank you Brooke and Paul!

Had Kuhl estimate and install heat cables on roof to prevent ice dams. Super informative. They use the best product out there. 10 year warranty. Paul the installer was friendly, knowledgeable and did an awesome job. He answered my questions and offered tips on using the product.I don’t want to wish for snow but I am excited to use these versus roof rake!Remember you get what you pay for - other cables are rated for 1 to 3 years tops. This is 10 years with a professional install.

Paul came out to install heat tape on an additional area of our roof. Not only did he do a professional and thoughtful job, he reworked our existing product which had been irregularly placed following a new roof installation. He also blew off our entire roof! We contracted with Kuhl for installation of heated roof and gutter cables. From the initial visit to inspect the roof and prepare a proposal to completion of the project, we were completely satisfied. The written proposal we received was promptly delivered consistent with our initial discussions. The work was scheduled to fit with our plans, and easily rescheduled when our travel plans changed. The installation was done by Paul and Ricardo. They arrived on time, explained what they would be doing and proceeded in a very professional manner to complete the job. While they were working, the owner (Steve) stopped by to introduce himself and take stock of the work. We couldn’t be happier with the work, and would recommend.Kuhl without reservation for this type of work

Up-date March 2021Another great job by the Kuhl Team! Shortly after having my roof restored last Spring we had an August hail storm. My insurance Company sent their adjuster to assess the damage and submitted an estimate, but also encouraged me to have my contractor submit their own estimate. Kuhl's Team prepared a very specific and detailed estimate, and working closely with the Company resulted in about a 25% increase in the settlement. Materials delivered Monday and the crew worked from 7 to 7 Tuesday and Wednesday finishing noon Thursday. Ben was supervisor for the project and was terrific. The Crew was fun to have around and worked perfectly together as a team; 4 teams of 2, and the 9th took care of logistics. It never occurred to me that putting on a new roof would reach a high quotient of satisfaction...but this is different; it is a work of Art.2020We are the sixth home on our block to have our Cedar shake roof renewed by Kuh'sl over the past few years, and they all look great. Ben and Greg do excellent work and are very personable. Brook handles the scheduling and does a great job considering delays caused by weather or jobs that just take longer than anticipated. Last fall Ben also replaced our roof heating cable (extension cord quality previously installed by a well known home services company) with commercial grade cable which worked perfectly. I contracted Kuhl's to remove a chimney from my older, St. Paul home. Gustavo (Tavo) performed the work, and I am incredibly pleased with his workmanship and professionalism, and the result of the job. I feel that the demolition was performed with the absolute minimum disruption to the surrounding finish of my house, he took great care with the plastic barriers to keep the interior of my house clean, and removed the chimney in a timely manner. We used Kuhl's for heat cable installation for the prevention of ice dams. The final outcome was outstanding. Brook and Megan did the planning and coordinating, Ben did a pre-install roof inspection and Paul did the actual install. Together they make a great team. They were all professional, personable and very patient with our many questions and concerns and made us feel very confident that we would no longer have to worry about the ice dams we've been dealing with for years. Kuhl's recommended JZ Electric for the required electrical work and they were also outstanding. Paul installed some HeatTape Pro on our roof and gutters and underground drain. It was drizzling and not the greatest conditions, but that didn't stop him. We were relieved that he could complete the work because we needed it done by a certain date. I’ve used this company many times on many homes over many years. Each experience is better than the last. Everyone I’ve spoken with is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They know how to get your job done efficiently while also focusing on the aesthetic integrity of your home. So your roof job isn’t just about choosing functional materials it’s also about making sure your house looks great when they’re finished.Example: Ben (project manager) came back to my home after my roof was finished just to deal with a hideous pipe vent (I hadn’t even seen it from the ground). He and the owner had noticed how unsightly this thing was and asked to come back and take care of it, even though it wasn’t part of my insurance claim. Ben came back and determined it couldn’t be removed (it was functional) so he got up there and painted it to match the roof. That’s unprompted awesome.The job itself was fast, the workers are polite and took great care to cover everything around my house as they ripped up the old roof. They left the place cleaner than when they arrived.Seriously, use these people. Our neighborhood got hit by two hail storms last July and we did not resolve our claim with our insurance company until this spring. I have been using Kuhl's Contracting for roof maintenance for years and they were the first and only roofing company I thought of and trusted to replace our roof. Our roof project went smoothly from start to finish. The crew is great! They know what they are doing and they do it well. They protected our our landscaping, deck and patio furniture during the project and thoroughly cleaned up the job site when they were done. I could not be happier with their work or the end results. Ben, Greg and Isaiah came out to clean our cedar shake roof. They showed up on time. They did a great job. They worked through a couple of thunderstorms and finished it up in a day. The roof looks like new. They did an outstanding job of cleaning up around the house, spraying off the house, windows, deck, sidewalks, and driveway. They were also polite and very pleasant. I would use them again.

We used Kuhl's Contracting to rehab our cedar shake roof. They came out and inspected the roof and made recommendations on how to move forward with washing and repairs. Carlos and another gentleman came out and washed our roof. During the washing process, they discovered some additional areas that needed shakes replaced. Ben and Greg came and installed the shakes. They were very professional, hardworking, and did a great job cleaning up. Highly recommended!

Kuhl's Contracting just replaced the old cedar shake roofs on my house and separate garage with new cedar shakes and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome and with every stage of the project. The team was the best that I have ever worked with and I would highly recommend Kuhl's Contracting. Luke, the Project Manager was the first point of contact through-out the entire project; including the estimating process, chimney repair and all the way through the shake installation until the last filled dumpster was rolled out. The crew was very professional and absolutely amazing! They managed to make up a couple of rain days to meet the original estimated completion date. The work area was always picked up at the end of each day and the new roof is wonderful. Couldn't be more pleased and would highly recommend Kuhl's Contracting.
