There was this worker that helped us… he was an “expert” in tools. His name was Brian or Ryan… We were trying to get something and he was trying to sell us on something else. We repeatedly told him respectfully that this is not the tool that we need. He repeatedly said to us “this is what you want” not asking what other tool we need or what we need it for. He also argued with us about what certain tools did when I clearly knew because I worked as a contractor— I build houses, and I’m also a plumber.. I think I know what I need. He was very aggressive and was talking AT me instead of WITH me. I hope that he doesn’t help others and speak to them with that tone or aggressiveness. I would not recommend Willmar Home Depot if I have to work or talk with this guy again. He needs some lessons in customer service. All we wanted was some tools. We knew what we wanted from the beginning.

Front desk was rude, I bring in a return and I say "Hello there, I have a return" to Two employees. They look at me then walk away without saying anything. Wow... really? thx guys! Great customer service. No smiles, No nothing.. and yes they both did hear me, they gave me direct eye contact and looked at me as I was nothing.

Decided to shop for an area rug, ended up at the depot vs walmart. Staff was friendly; Dennis in the flooring department greeted me n directed me in the right direction, i found an area rug that was to my liking, i ask bout any discount or promos none that he was aware of, im disabled (paralisis) dennis went out of his way to carry the rug to the register then endure minnesotas mid novembers cruesome winds without hesitation(i didnt even have to ask!). Thank you dennis and may the home depot acknowledge your excelent customer service.

They only have one Public restroom and it's a long ways to walk from the entrance. I found what I wanted and an employee helped me find other things that I needed.

I was looking at tools for my first tool set and employees noticed that I look a little confused and he helped me with such friendliness and understanding that I felt genuine compassion that employees name is Dave Marr and I account full of credit to my purchase to him and I will be coming back again if I keep getting customers service like that if I could tip here I would 10/10 service

A little unhappy with the customer service. To get some help was like pulling teeth! The knowledge of the cashier seemed quite limited on the checkout/pickup procedure.

I purchased a fogger/mister and needed the solution that you put inside it. The employee I asked about the solution didn't know anything about it or where to find it and instead tried to sell me an aerosol can of fogger to put into the machine. Really...lol. Do your homework before you go in.

Like most places currently, they're understaffed, so it can take time to find some one to help you out ... That being said the employees are very knowledgeable about everything in the store, or are willing to find the person that is. They have saved me multiple trips back and forth from the shop by asking questions I did not even think about. Great customer service!

I prefer home Depot vs Menards as generally prices are close, but you always have more associates looking to not only help but actually find what your after. Menards also has two doors one on one out which always makes parking a hassle. I guess if you know exactly where the item is Menards Is fine but when I figure in the whole experience home Depot wins.

Other than one person at customer service with serious "indifference attitude", I had such a great help at this location from managers, and employees in almost every department with high-note given to flooring and plumbing. The missing star is for the lack of stocking some ESSENTIAL basic items such as transition for flooring.

The store's inability to make a simple address change on an order delivery is really disappointing. They indicated we would have to cancel the order and reorder everything to do so, which I had no problem with. However, they were unwilling to honor the price I had paid for my original purchase. Instead they wanted to charge over $3,000 more to reorder the EXACT same items but do a simple address change from Willmar to New London.Update: upping it to 4 stars. They've improved greatly over the years.

We purchased carpet at Home Depot in Willmar, Minnesota, and it was such a flawless process I wanted to leave a review. From purchasing the carpet, scheduling for measurements, free installation of the new carpet and taking out of the old, it was so simple. Crew2 was the subcontractor for carpet installation, and did an amazing job. We have a white baseboard and two sets of stairs, and I was concerned with scuff marks for which there were none. A big shout out to Marcelo CHavez and Jesus for their quality workmanship from Crew2

If you are looking for delivery reliability dont count on it! Litterally got called the day "Our" invoice said delivery only to find out its for the next day which happens to be the weekend. They have no idea what time the driver will deliver our purchase of $5,000 worth of material to our house and on top of it they tell us the day of delivery that they dont have the whole order we paid for and were told they had on stock. I think ill go back to purchasing from my local lumber yard!

Sales person was great! She helped us select the flooring we needed. Also, loaded on a cart and took it to the cashier, then got us help to load the stuff into my truck! Great job!

Most employees are very helpful but they still managed to only have self checkout available. I checked out just under $500 worth of items and lumber while an employee stood there and watched. I also had one paver block without a tag and the employee asked if i would go to the other end of the store to take a picture of the UPC code (I left without the paver).

Awesome helpful staff. Made a phone call to Greg in plumbing with a tricky problem that needed a specialty tool. He was able to understand what I was trying to fix, went to other departments, found me a tool that would work and left it at customer service counter for me to pick up when I arrived in town. Great store, Great staff!Thanks Greg!!

BIG SHOUT OUT TO SHAUNA & GREG at the Wilmar MN Home Depot!!!I was looking for a specific porch light that I had bought at Home Depot several years ago. I wanted two more. I found one in St, Cloud MN. (a family member picked that one up for me) and one in Wilmar MN. I live 150 miles north of Wilmar so driving there was not an option. I called the Wilmar Home depot to see if they could send the light to the Brainerd Home Depot (30 miles from me) . I spoke with Shauna (Customer Service) and she told me they don't ship small items like that from store to store. Then she asked me to hold while she checked with "our receiving guy Greg to see if he'll ship it directly to you". Less than a minute later Shauna got back on the line and said they would ship it directly to me. I received the light 3 days later. EXCELLENT JOB SHAUNA & GREG! Thank you for going the extra steps just so I could get the porch light I wanted.

i went to home depot. i needed circular metal discs. the two older employees there were no help and had never heard of them. a few feet away there they were. very naive and didn’t even know their own store. next, i needed paint to paint the discs. i told the lady at the paint counter i only needed a sample size or maybe a quart because i would have to do several layers on my discs. the lady refused and said i needed a whole gallon of paint for just a few circular discs to be painted. i left rather confused, paying a lot for the paint. i went home and painted my discs completely, only to realize that the gallon of paint i had purchased was completely full. i wasted my money on an unused gallon of paint. i will be returning the next day to get my money back and complain. horrible staff. they don’t know what they’re doing.

Purchased carpet with the free install. Be aware that means they will sub it out to a company that subs it out again and ultimately when something goes wrong NO ONE takes responsibility especially Home Depot. Better to just pay for install with a locally owned business that cares about the customer.

I wanted to order a product, had to order it online. I wanted to get the -25$ off of my first order with the homedepot credit card. I applied for the cc, they emailed me a link to get a passcode so i could order online, but when i clicked on it, they wanted to text me a code. I never got the code, i tried several times. I called the store, he said he thought he could print me a pass instore. I go to store, he prints my one day pass, but it has no coupon for the -$25.00 off deal.He said i would have to take it up with the credit card company. I try to order online, but i have no cvc code. So i decide to wait till i get card in the mail.I get the cc in the mail, i order my product online, but it doesnt apply the -$25.00 off deal in my first purchase!!!So i call capital one, they say oh the credit will be applied after one or two billing cycles!! I cannot believe this!They really need to do something about this process!! If they are going to offer deals on your first purchase, they should make it easy to apply to the order!!So, now i wont get the discount on my first order, i will end up having a credit balance on my statement, if they ever do apply the credit!! I will never apply for a cc there ever again!! Most likely i will cancel this card after i pay it off!Not happy with this process at all!!

Do not even bother with this company when it comes to carpet installation, they have no problem taking your money but will not actually show for the appointments they scheduled. This is the 3rd appointment slot they have failed to show up for. I will be canceling my check.

Jacob in lighting was excellent! He was very helpful and had no problem getting a ladder to get the boxes down for us or help us find out what lights we needed.Rita in cabinets on the other hand was rude and very unhelpful! We ended up going to Menards and spending just over $5,000 in cabinets. This was the 2nd time dealing with her and her unhelpful attitude. 1. they had a hard time finding her and 2. then she just stood there with her arms crossed, did not smile and did not seem like she wanted to help us.Seriously considering getting rid of our Home Depot card which we just paid off.If it wasn't for Jacob my stars would have only been one but he gave us great customer service! 5 Stars to him!

Some dude kicked me out of the store because I was apparently disturbing the customers when all I was doing was roaming the store by his words I “looked suspicious with my bag” and then he mentioned the riots in Minneapolis for some odd reason as though I was gonna start a riot I explained that my dad was here and I could just go to him if I was disturbing people. He tells me he saw me walk in the store alone which I did but my dad was not too far behind me. I offer to just go back to him but he just tells me to wait for him outside.I’m sure this is am amazing store with lots of reliable lumber but the way this guy treated me was asinine.
