Sales and reception - kind of green - CInstallation - top notch, experienced, accurate and nothing was broken (did show an hour early after no show!?) - AManagement - shoehorned me in late day schedule only to not show or call!!! I was promised "no later than 11:30-12:30" "done no later than 4" - at 1:15 I called to learn they were not coming.I was getting a sliding back door and my home was 85 degrees when learning THEY wasted my entire day and did not respect that. Management wanted me to call them so they could explain what happened. I think I know. You tried to maximize profits by working a mature veteran installer too hard and your internal conflict/issue with previous job spilled to the customer. No-one apologized to me but it has been settled as I received my Lien Waiver. - DProduct - replaced 50 year old door with new one that has a step lip to overcome (seemingly new with most windows), key locks interfere with frame, as does lock housing, pinch point at divider when door is fully opened, screen door very flimsy. Likely the quality level I paid for. Suspect all will be well moving forward. - BThese days it is hard to get anything done - much less right. Grief expected. Installation quality helped counteract grief.Lesson: Customers appreciate call when you are not going to show. Customer should not have to call and ask why you are 2 hours late and especially not coming at all.Service: Home renovations

July of 2021 Dalco installed siding, new gutters and soffits on my home in South County. Larry installed everything by himself, did a great job. Jake Carbrey was wonderful to deal with. When I phoned Jake, he returned my calls ASAP. When I emailed Jake, he emailed me ASAP. Jake answered all of my questions. Since July of 2021 all of the work Dalco did held up perfectly through a number of severe storms, hail, heavy winds, etc. I am a satisfied customer.

We had a very positive experience working with Dalco for several recent home projects: new roof, replaced a sliding door, and had siding installed in areas that were painted wood (the rest of the house is brick). Doug was our sales/project manager and he was great to work with. Our selection and installation process was long due the fact that we were also having a patio installed (different builder). It was important for the projects to go in a certain order and Doug/Dalco were accommodating to those needs without any issue. We had several bids for the projects and Dalco provided the best value.

We first used Dalco for new siding on our home in 2010. That project was done professionally from Bill our sales professional to the installation team doing an an excellent job. When we decided in December 2017 it was time to replace the windows in our 29 year old house, we researched various companies and once again chose Dalco. We made the correct decision. Bill was our sales professional again, explained our options, gave us new ideas for types of windows we were not aware were available that have made a wonderful difference in our home. The installation team again was outstanding replacing 20 windows in 2 days, with clean up and as little disturbance as possible. We feel they offered the most reasonable price for the quality of the windows, as pricing quotes did differ between companies. Thank you Dalco for a great job!

We have worked with Dalco on refurbishing various aspects of our home since the early 90s. They have put on a new roof, gutters, front door, and all new top of the line windows with the easy clean from the inside feature. In addition they converted a large front window to a bay window. On the inside they gutted and remodeled two bathrooms and the kitchen (our most recent project). I loved my cabinets so much we had them added to our office/craft room. I have always enjoyed doing my own designing and found it very easy to work with the salesmen who helped me realize my vision. They were willing to research and track down materials I requested. Any questions or concerns were addressed in a timely fashion. Both the salesmen for interior and exterior projects, as well as the crews completing the jobs were a pleasure to work with. We have been very happy with the workmanship and quality of the materials. Through the years we have and continue to recommend Dalco.

I obtained competitive bids from several roofing companies for a new roof and found that I got a lot more from Dalco for a very competitive price. The communication throughout the install process was very good. With some background in construction I observed the install. What I observed was a lot of little things being done to insure a weather tight roof that is prepared to last.The peace of mind dealing with a local reputable company was also important. I know if there are ever any issues that Dalco will stand behind their product.Happy in Lake Saint Louis

Dalco was easy to work with and did a great job. My home was damaged during a storm and Dalco made working with the insurance company very easy and painless. Doug Meyers from Dalco did a great job handling the project and keeping me updated as he fought with insurance. Once the work was approved by the insurance company Dalco didn't waste any time. All the projects (roof, sliding, window, and gutters) were finished quickly and professionally. Overall, I don't think I could have picked a better company to work with.

When purchasing our new home, our inspector noted significant hail damage on the existing roof. With closing just around the corner we needed the roof replaced promptly. Dalco responded right away, provided a very competitive bid that both the seller and my husband were happy with. I have had nothing but good experiences working with Dalco. They did windows for me about 7-8 years ago and roof and gutters this year. All of the workmanship has been outstanding and they really stand behind their products. I had an issue with one of the windows about about a year ago and they came out and fixed it with no problems.

We used DALCO to replace our roof and gutters. Bill and Rich did a great job explaining all of the options and benefits of their roofing installation and guttering. They weren't high pressure to commit when they came to us. I had been researching different leaf guard options for my gutters and DALCO uses one of top ones that I was interested in. I'm looking forward to not cleaning my gutters anymore. The office kept us informed on when the crews would be arriving and they showed up on the days they told us. They did a great job cleaning up when done.

“We’re Dalco Home Remodeling. We’ve been remodeling St. Louis; One home at a time for over 40 years.” Customers choose you because they want to be loyal to a longstanding St. Louis business. They choose to support your business over an out of town company and in return they expect trust, communication and expertise in installation and the STL area.We are not window experts and support St. Louis so we chose Dalco for our home remodeling. When installation finally came it was stopped soon after by the city when they asked Dalco for the permit. As new homeowners we did not know a permit was needed. With Dalco doing work in St. Louis for 40 years they should have known and told us they would not do any work until we obtained the permit if that was our responsibility.I am writing this review due to the lack of communication that started once the problems began. I am also disappointed that Dalco says they did not know we needed a permit and that they have done thousand of houses without permits in our area. We talked to neighbors who had their windows replaced and all of the companies that installed their windows built in the permit to the pricing break down and said they would not do work until they had a permit.If you choose Dalco, make sure you study up on your city regulations and permits so this does not happen to you. Or Dalco, please be informed so you do not have to inconvenience other customers the same way we have been.

I have a little architectural drafting experience, which may not count for much but did expose me to some simple facts regarding contractors and windows. 1) They are not all the same and 2) workmanship is perhaps more important than the quality of the materials. Of course, when it came time to replace the windows in our +50 year old home, I took bids from four different companies thatallegedly had a solid product--for durability and themal properties. One of the best bidders was DALCO, whose rep, Mr. Tom Hayes, was extremely helpful and answered all our questions withoutwasting our time with hype. His straight forward, honest approach made us lean toward this company and the specifications on the windows sealed the deal. Reps like Tom don't need to sling hash at customers. The windows were installed in one day by two highly experienced professionals, Dan and Craig, who each had decades of experience and it showed in the quality of the installation.Bottomline: Dalco bid nearly half the price of high bidder and the windows not only look wonderful, the thermal properties exceed the values of most competitors. There is a reason this company has been around a long time: they do great work with solid products at a FAIR PRICE. A first rate organization who cares about their reputation in the community. I would refer my family and friends without hesitation.

I was so excited to start the process of remodeling our Ferguson home. 3,800 sq ft 7 bed rooms 4 bathrooms. We got our estimate for the windows with no problem. Then when it came to the kitchen and bathroom remodel estimate I was extremely disappointed. The contractor called the day before my estimate and stated that he has done his research on my home and stated that I had plastered walls and they don’t work within homes with plaster. I stated that I don’t have plaster anywhere in my home but he insisted that I did. RED FLAG…. At this point I don’t want your business since you won’t even listen or believe me. Then he goes on to state how expensive it will be to do all the work I wanted as if I’m not aware or can’t afford it. I ended the call and immediately called another company that came out and confirmed that I don’t have plaster in my home. Needless to say, we won’t be getting new windows or updating our kitchen and bathrooms with Dalco. So disappointing because you all were our first choice. We just feel like we have been dismissed.

We had an excellent experience with this company. They replaced several windows in our house, including the windows in the atrium that are difficult to reach. Everything was done in the most timely and efficient manner. When a couple windows happened to have a defective glass and had to be replaced, they came without a delay and accomplished the task on time.All their workers were polite, knowledgeable and helpful, including Bill (sales person), Phil (service) and Brian (general manger).

The quality of the window is impeccable, installers were terrific, everything ended up excellent. Their lead times happened to put my project on hold for a month and a half. That's not their fault. I received many bids for new windows for my 13 year old home . Dalco wasn’t the very cheapest but in the price range . Our representive (Doug) was so helpful and knowledgeable , and followed thru the whole process.i also learned that Dalco uses there own crew of installers and they are not contracted out installers. This is a BIG DEAL.Also Doug was the only one that told us we needed safety glass in our garden tub window replacement , another BIG DEAL if we would decided to sell our home. Last but not least, my installers were just THE BEST. , so kind , kept me informed.i had zero clean up. They were just the best ... I highly recommend Dalco

Our salesman, John C. gave us great advice on which columns to install. His suggestion of boxing in the top of the columns proved to be a good resolution to our bird nest problem.
