What I loved; friendly employees. From the owner, the crew (shout out Jeremy and Caleb, you two rock) to the office staff. I always felt heard. Phone, text, emails, whatever it took, they communicated in a timely manner. They also jumped in and started this project without much lead time. Another local co tractor ghosted us.What they can improve on: estimate vs final bill we factored in prior a 20% overage, but this didn't cover the overage. I expressed to them in detail the differences, so hopefully, that will help their estimates going forward.Would I use them again. Very likely.They did great work, besides the estimate, one error occurred, which has been thoroughly discussed (that explains 3 instead of 4 stars).Again, there are no complaints about the work that was done. I am happy to recommend Bax Homeworks and hope you like the photos.

Jeremy and Clayton did an exceptional job today with replacing my patio door. They found a bunch of rotted boards that needed replacing, as well as new trim. No heehawing around with these guys. Clayton - Gail and I send complements to yourself, Jason Propst, Cole McCubbin, and Jason Funk for the advice and detailed work on our bath/shower remodels, installing a barndoor, replacing the deck doors, installing a new widow, and some cosmetic work. The objective of the projects included easily accessed showers for folks with reduced mobility, improved efficiency, and updated appearance of the bathrooms, providing additional light to the kitchen, and better access to the deck. Jason Propst visited in our home and listened to our list of needs. He outlined the remodeling process completely.Cole and Jason are there to solve problems. The problem of unsecured floor joists was identified, solutions discussed, materials acquired and installation of lumber to secure the joists accomplished all in an afternoon. Had that detail not been addressed we could have ended up with a cracked shower floor.Cole and Jason are into details, have a wide set technical building skills, and have a positive approach to the work they do. We moved into a home that had a complete bathroom remodel 8 months ago. I messaged them when I started finding issues once we moved in. Ofcorse we didn't look close enough when we purchased the home, or else I would of never approved of it, and would of had it fixed before we moved in. After no response for a couple days I finally got a response to text a number they gave me, and to send pictures. The same pictures I'm posting are the same pictures I sent to whomever I was talking to. He said these problems were normal, and that the proper cleaning hadn't been done, since their work was complete. I then persisted to tell him that I would like the work fixed. He told me their is only a 6 month warranty period. As you can tell from the pictures the work wasn't done properly from day one! A few weeks later, we now have mold coming up from underneath the tile, and from where they chalked, or I would say didn't chaulk. The pictures show they were reckless with the way they put up the tile, and with the grout. They also told me their would be extra charges for them to properly clean the grout and chaulk. I would never recommend these people to anyone. We are now looking at a full tear out of the bathroom, just 8 months after the previous owner spent over 20k for the remodel! Being a small business owner myself, I would exapect the owner to man up and fix the issues! But I guess this is how they roll! Pretty sad!

They say they are new owners but when you call and try and have them make things right they don't call back. Even after speaking to you we spent thousands of dollars and really got screwed over on this remodel. Good luck .! UPDATE.......Absolutely not true I would like to see proof where they reached out to us they absolutely did not spoke to us one time they were supposed to get back with us and did not of course they're going to write whatever they want but the facts are the facts I wouldn't complain if they did a good job and actually made things right end of story each person can take their own risk and have their own experience with these people that's their choice this review is to explain our experience

DO NOT USE THIS CONTRACTOR!!!! They intentionally deflate the costs on the quote/estimate so you will choose them. They were well beyond 50% over the estimate before I spoke up. Shoddy work was done, personal property destroyed in the process without compensation, no consideration for homeowner's personal property and home in general. It appears the contractors that remodeled my shower had never tiled anything before. Less than six months later, the grout has cracked in several places and the caulk has cracked which has led to water leaking behind the tiles causing mold and mildew to build up. The trim was not done properly or to reasonable industry standards as stated in their quote. Work was guaranteed for six months; however, I will NEVER allow them to come into my home again to "repair" anything. Project manager had NO customer service, told me I was wanting something for free AFTER HE DESTROYED my property. They were careless in general and completely unprofessional. They washed out their buckets and equipment in my paved driveway and decorative landscaping rock (not the gravel which would have been the most appropriate) so now I have remnants of grout everywhere outside that I can't get up. They did NOT clean up after themselves at any point in the process and were generally disrespectful of my home, leaving their lunch trash behind for me to clean up and lounging on my couch. The owner, Robbie Bax, would not speak with me or meet with me as he is far too busy to actually meet with any of his customers. I was going to let it go but less than six months later and there is already problems. I have never left a bad review on anything in my life but save yourself the trouble and DO NOT HIRE BAX HOMEWORKS.Service: Tile work installation

I would not recommend this company for anything! BUYER BEWARE!We had them renovate our garage and add a front porch to our house. Robbie came out to look at the work and was very respectable, neat and professional. But that is pretty much the extent of the professional service. The first two guys on the job seemed to understand carpentry but when they were not on the job the others sent were not trained at all, one of them would bumble around like he had no idea what he was doing, but you pay the same hourly rate for whom ever is there! They were to install insulation, OSB board (so later we could paint) and corrugated tin on the ceiling of the garage. They totally missed one entire wall of insulation and had to return remove OSB and insulate and reinstall. Their carpentry skills were very poor and they put the rough side of OSB out, making it almost impossible to paint. They did a very poor job of installing tin ceiling. We asked Robbie to come inspect the job and he made excuses for every poor carpentry blunder.We should have stopped right there but had hired and waited on them for weeks and wanted to complete what they had started.First day of front porch the post brackets were not square and this sets the tone for all further building squareness. Luckily my husband caught this before they got to far and made correction. They didn’t complete the full installation of all the materials, just left the pieces laying in the front yard. We had to have them return to fix boards that were upside down and cut to short and warped, and finish installing the pieces left. Then they sent a bill for the corrections!!! Saying it was owners preference!!! YES WE PREFER A COMPLETED PROJECT!They caused a short in a outside electrical wire to a light that they had to remove and reinstall, causing a whole floor of our house to not have electricity for a entire weekend. They lied saying it was a faulty fixture, I called the electrician which we know and love as honest people and where told the truth. Bax was willing to let us be charged the electrician cost to fix what they caused?!! Luckily I was here and caught this! This was the final straw for me!!We had not heard any bad or good about this company and were willing to give them a chance, but now I can say I would not recommend them for anything! If you are going to charge what they charge you must be willing to stand behind your work and send competent workers to do the job!I hate leaving bad reviews butBUYER BEWARE!

I do not recommend this company! We hired Bax Homeworks in June to install a new deck off our kitchen. From day one we noticed that the measurements were off and we questioned when the support beams were placed half on concrete and half on pavers but were reassured that it wouldn’t cause any issues so we continued with work. By day 3 I could tell we had a bigger problem on our hands. The cuts were rough and not measured correctly which left large gaps when they tried to install the stair rails. The screws were already splitting out of the wood and the stairs creaked and visibly shook even when my 5 year old walked down them. The platform at the top of the stairs wasn’t square which caused the floor boards to stick out on one side and the handrail on the stairs significantly bowed in the middle. At one point I watched one of his workers wood glue a piece of the stairs back together after they made an error in their cut. We contacted Robbie right away with our concerns and he said he would send someone out to fix some of the issues, but that everything else was either the fault of the wood from the mill or was “industry standard.” The next day, one worker came to fix the errors but only left a bigger mess. Screws were missing from the handrails and he took a circular saw to the platform which cut a chunk out of the deck board and the face of the platform. Again, we contacted Robbie by email with pictures of our concerns and he said he would send his project manager to fix some things, but that he had preformed “industry standard” work and we would be charged for him doing any extra work that he didn’t deem necessary. The project manager did the best he could without completing starting over but we were still left with stairs that shake, bowed handrails, rough cuts, splitting wood, and have recently noticed 2 of our support beams are already starting to twist. It was extremely hard to have a cordial conversation with Robbie without him becoming defensive. In the end we just wanted a deck that was completed correctly and that we felt was safe for our family. I have never written a bad review before feel like I need to warn other people that Bax Homeworks is unprofessional and their work is subpar.

Robby Bax did an accurate estimate for our project and guided us as the project progressed. Matt, project manager, and his team Carson and Cole were great to work with on a daily basis. Matt was a great resource for pricing materials. Our project was completed timely and we are very pleased. We would hire Bax Homeworks again.

Did not finish attic ladder installation properly. This work was shabby. other work was acceptable. When we called about it, we were told we could fix it ourselves. We had agreed to pay so much an hour. But the second da,y two people were sent so we ended up paying twice as much. Last time, one person completed the same jobs. From our observation, the work was not done twice as fast. We wonder if we were taken advantage of because we were seniors. We were shocked to find out that they wouldn't come out to look at the problem.
