We hired Renovate Rite in September to build a patio cover. We were pleased with the work we had seen, and they had all good reviews at that time. We were told the job would not start for approximately 12 weeks. Beginning of February the project manager came out and measured the job. The end of February Renovate Rite charged us via the third party finance company the whole cost of the job. It is now May, we have reached out to Brandon at Renovate Rite a multitude of times and get no answer, no return text, or email. We have driven by the old office and the new office and both are empty. He did send a message a few weeks ago with excuse after excuse as to why things were not getting done. We have since requested a refund and cancellation of our contract, and have yet to hear back from Brandon or anyone at Renovate Rite. We are now seeing bad reviews all over BBB and the web. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT HIRE RENOVATE RITE!Services: General construction, Installation

Renovate Rite just finished up our new window installation. Everything looks great and the process was very straight forward. From the salesman Brandon to the installers Frank and Zach everything went smooth and they did a great job.To be honest I was skeptical at first as they are a newer company but very happy to go with them.Windows look and work great for the price.Services: General construction, Installation

We hire Renovate Rite to replace 5 windows on our home, and could not be happier. Our point of contact was Brandon, and from the very start he was a professional. He kept his “sales pitch” brief and did not waste our time, and worked with us on a price and product we were happy with. He was very responsive throughout the process, and followed up to make sure we were happy with our service. Our window contractor was Frank, who was friendly and did great work. He was very thorough with the installation, and did a great job cleaning the area upon completion. When we need new windows on the remainder of our house, we will look no further than Renovate Rite.

I hired renovate rite in September 2021 to do a project at my home. I gave the owner Brandon Haley a deposit of over $6000 and he told me he would start the project in December. When December came I called Brandon Haley and he started making excuses and changed the date. After that time Brandon Haley wouldn’t take my calls or answer my texts until I posted a negative review then Brandon called me and told me he would refund my deposit if I took my review down.That was just one of the lies that Brandon Haley told me.Needless to say Brandon has not refunded my money or contacted me regarding the project we contracted for.I ran an internet search and I found that Brandon Haley and his wife Kasie have multiple civil cases pending against them and it appears they are on the run.Do not hire Renovate Rite and DO NOT give Brandon Haley any money, you will never see your money again and you will receive nothing.Service: General construction

The crew at Renovate Rite were incredibly professional and knowledgeable about my project. I recently had them cut in and install a new window to an area that didn't have a window. The design process was extremely easy and they were honest about pricing. I never felt like I was being forced or encouraged to purchase things that I didn't need for the project. When it came to installation, the crew was quick and took the time to talk me through any of the unique circumstances they encountered when working on my project. 8/3/22-update-still have not heard from Brandon or anyone at Renovate Rite. We are still waiting for the return of our money.This is in response to my review and Brandon’s reply to it 4 days ago. Brandon still has yet to contact us in regards to returning our funds. We have called and texted him EVERY DAY and he has not responded despite his claim to do so. This is the second review I'm leaving. The first review outlined the fact that Renovate Rite took my deposit of $1,250 on Oct. 3, 2021. I was told that work would be completed before the end of the year. Given the current climate, I cut them some slack and followed-up in December when work still wasn't complete. No response. In January, I followed up again. No response. In April, I finally got a response and was told my project would be finished in 2-3 weeks. When that didn't happen, I requested a refund and on May 22 was told I would receive a cashiers check that day. Nothing was delivered. It's now the last day of May ... no project completion, no cashier's check received, no response to my multiple calls and text messages. I filed a second claim with the BBB which they (Renovate Rite) also didn't respond to. I'm letting my lawyer take it from here but will also be contacting the local media to share the many issues that others have posted here.

***RESPONSE TO RENOVATE RITE'S COMMENTS ON MY ORIGINAL POST:The tile was purchased through a loan that Renovate Rite created for us with PowerPay. Renovate Rite’s installers brought it to our house to begin the work on our backsplash late last year. Once it was in our possession, my husband and I paid the loan off. We own the tile.Our deposit was for half of the work for our backsplash/shower remodel. Brandon agreed to refund us this deposit as long as we signed “completion” forms with PowerPay, but we refused to do so as the work was not complete or up to standard. The people I spoke with at PowerPay even agreed that Renovate Rite failed to fulfill their end of the contract.We believe that asking for a full refund is appropriate, because we not only lost our deposit, but we also have to purchase new tile and hire another company to redo our backsplash.The other miscellaneous material he’s referring to is our shower base. Renovate Rite’s installers brought it to our house along with the tile when they started working on our project. Brandon told me the base, shipping costs, and miscellaneous material for the base cost over $2,800. I called Onyx (the shower base manufacturer), and they confirmed the shower base would only cost approximately $1,100... As I mentioned in my original review, many contractors we’ve spoken to since have stated that the one they ordered is too small for the space. I’ve told Brandon that he can pick up the base as soon as I’m refunded.I’d also like to clarify that the articles I referenced in my original post regarding Renovate Rite’s installer (Shane Slaven) were in reference to a prior company Shane operated, but you can check the Yelp reviews and Better Business Bureau complaints for similar misconduct reported by former customers of Renovate Rite.Service: General construction

I had my windows and sliding glass doors replaced by them. The quality of the windows and doors are amazing and the prices are very fair. I was given many options with no pressure to buy. They where installed and look beautiful. I noticed a difference right away in the tempature of the house once installed. They are professional and respond with in 24 hours to any of my questions. One of my windows was missing the screen and the install ordered it right away and when I said he can send to us he said no he would be back to install himself. In my experience, utilizing this company for a roof replacement was a very professional and pleasurable experience. The Sales Dept was pleasantly mannered and the workers were prompt on our agreed start date and finished in a timely manner. My husband and I signed a contract with Brandon Haley of Renovate Rite in March of last year to install our kitchen backsplash and to remodel our shower. We paid half for the work up front and were told due to COVID and supply chain shortages, we'd have to wait several months (approximately August 2021) for the shower base to come in before they could begin the work. We followed up month after month with little to no responses, and they eventually put us off until the holidays.They sent a guy named Shane Slaven to start the backsplash in December. It took him and his crew about a month to "finish" the backsplash, and even then it was not up to standard. One of the workers even admitted to me that they had never worked with tile, yet Shane left them here by themselves on several occasions to install our backsplash.We asked for a refund, because we didn't want them to start a bigger project (our shower remodel) when they couldn't even install a backsplash properly. We Googled the installer's name (Shane Slaven) and found several articles online about how he's conned people in the St. Louis area out of thousands of dollars. One article indicates that the Attorney General is blocking Shane from doing contractual work in Missouri.We’ve had several contractors come by to give us quotes on our shower and to fix the backsplash recently. All of them agreed it would be best to tear out the backsplash and start over. We’ve been told Renovate Rite wasted our tile and the work was “amateur hour” among other things. Many have also stated that the shower base they ordered for us was too small for the space. Brandon has refused to give us a full refund, so we have no choice but to move forward with other methods. I’ve filed a complaint with the Attorney General’s office and will do whatever it takes to ensure Brandon and Shane can’t do this to anyone else in the future.Services: General construction, Remodeling

There are many positive reviews. That is because the workesr Renovate Rite hire do excellent work. However, the office ethics is much to be desired. I, too, signed a contract with Brandon Haley for new deck and gave a downpayment on August 28, 2021. Have NOT heard from him since... Website supposedly was to be operational on March 9. It is NOT. With the many means of communication, there is no excuse for ignoring clients who put out thousands of dollars for a project never started. Moving is not an excuse. Since then I requested a REFUND of $4,665.00 because, once again, Brandon no longer is available via phone or email. Today, a letter that I wrote in March was returned to me by the post office: RETURN TO SENDER ATTEMPTED NOT KNOWN UNABLE TO FORWARD. RENOVATE RITE's new website promised for March 9 has not been finished. Very disappointed in what I thought would be a great owner/customer deal. I am still requesting a REFUND and hope that happens. Renovate Rite replaced my heavily damaged and worn roof about one month ago. I was shocked how much of a difference in the appearance of my house. We noticed that we had a roof leak! After speaking to one of our neighbors about it, he recommended Renovate Rite! We called them that afternoon and they came out to out house the next morning! We showed them where the water was coming in, they did a thorough check advised what was wrong, very professional wasn’t out to make quick money or take advantage of a customer! We had windows replaced throughout our entire home. It is a huge difference in the noise and the glass looks amazing. We had triple pane in the windows facing the subdivision street and the kids cannot hear hardly any noise. The company and their contractor are very nice and trustworthy. Signed a contract on July 5, 2021. Measurements were completed months later and I have heard nothing unless I reach out - and then its an excuse. I have had dozens of neighbors have decks/porches/stairs put in while I apparently wait on nothing.Powerpay (finance company) is now looking into this company as well, as they have noted they believe this is a scam. The "F" rating on the BBB speaks for itself.I guess you could say Renovate-Rite ain't lookin' so Renovate-Tite right now.

I signed a contract back at the end of March and was told my project would start at the end of May beginning of June. that there were two other projects before mine. Both the end of May and June went by and I still had not been contacted as to when my project would start. Several times their website said they were temporarily closed. Finally got ahold of them and I was told that there were still a few people before me. I was never contacted to let me know my project was going to be delayed. After begging to keep my business they agreed to return my down payment.

This business is committing FRAUD. They will take your money & run. The recent positive reviews are the owners Facebook friends. There are multiple lawsuits, BBB complaints. Look on KDSK “BBB issues warning after customers say St. Louis contractor 'ghosted' them” BUYER BEWARE!!!
