I worked with Daine from Wegner Roofing and Solar on a couple of projects for my primary home. We had hail damage on the roof and gutters of our house and shop. We also decided to set up a net metered solar system.The roof and gutter project went really well. The speed and quality of work from the crew was impressive. They took care to protect windows and doors. They also did a near perfect job of cleaning up. I only found a couple of nails from the tear off of the old roof after they left.The solar project also went well. The coordination and logistics required to get set up for net metering seems to be the hardest part. The install of the panels was super fast and looks fantastic. The electrical work was great as well. The electricians even ran wires through a difficult attic to avoid running conduit across the roof by my request.There were a couple of annoyances in the solar process that were just customer experience improvements but they do not detract from my rating of the overall great job.I would like to call out that Brian was awesome when he commissioned the system. He took me through everything and answered all of my geek level questions. He was super knowledgeable and clearly a big asset to the solar team. I just wish he lived locally.Finally the reason behind two very successful projects is Daine. He is highly engaged and on top of things throughout the process. He helped with everything from insurance adjusters to spending extra time with high-maintenance me going through install details that I was particular about. His communication is honestly unheard of in today’s construction industry and I’d likely want Daine to manage any construction project I could to ensure it goes smoothly. While all of the people I personally met from Wegner were great, I really think Daine was the secret sauce to making everything happen from a customer point of view. I tend to prefer working with local companies to support local business so I was a little hesitant going with a Billings based company but again it was Daine that sold me on the decision to have Wegner handle both of these large projects.
