We contacted Nathan James Construction to roof our small shed project.Nathan called us back within a short time to schedule an appointment for an estimate. At the appointment he was very professional and friendly, and answered all my questions about the project, including ventilation requirements. We had some new materials from a previous roofing project left over which were of good quality and could be used.Since our job was small, the company was able to work us in the same week. The roofing crew workers were friendly, hard-working, and very capable. Our new roof was on and in good order before the next rain. We are quite thrilled with having the roof and ridge vents done and prepped for the next phases of work (adding wall vents, caulking, painting, gutters).Paying for the job was very easy as well. Nathan submitted an invoice by email through Quickbooks, and I was able to pay electronically. Any opportunity to avoid fiddling with envelopes, paper checks, and stamps makes me very happy.We are very pleased with the quality of the work and the ability of the company to meet our needs, and will call on them again for future projects.Service: Roof installation

When I had a surprise of water spots in my ceiling from our arctic temps warming up and thawing out condensation, I was pretty worried. I called Nate and was surprised that he answered the phone right away vs. calling an office and not dealing with someone directly. It was great to talk to him one on one and he was super knowledgeable and easy to communicate with. He was thorough setting up an appointment to come check things out a couple days later, and was on time for the appointment. He didn’t charge us for the visit and shared some pointers for the future. He was also kind enough to head up the street to my friend’s right after who was experiencing the same issues but didn’t call in advance. His willingness to work with our schedule and help our friend out as well speaks volumes, and his demeanor even on the phone left me feeling very at ease. Thank you Nate for your help, I would recommend you to anyone!

In the middle of closing on the sale of our home we found out we would need to replace the roof - our stress level went through the roof! (pun intended). Nate responded and worked with us remotely to inspect, bid, replace, and even do some unknown repairs all at a reasonable price. Nate and his crew did a great job fixing our house siding. Had rotting issues around our 2 windows and chimney. After tear down, Nate noticed some additional rotting issues. After the last two rains resulted in our garage leaking, our insurance told us we needed an entire new roof. We got Nathan James' name from a co-worker who had used him for her roof replacement. We received four bids all about the same and quickly narrowed it down to Nathan James and one other. My husband was most impressed with Nathan because he answered all his questions and "he wasn't pushy". He also worked with us on color. (We have green shingles and did not want to change.) When his crew removed all the old tar paper we were all surprised to find about 20 holes in the roof decking that had been covered up (not repaired) by tar paper when our last roof was installed in 2001. Nathan kept us informed and gave us options on how to fix. His crew was thorough in both the work and in clean up, leaving our yard nail and debris free. Nate is A+. I was looking for a roofer to do a repair on our roof from the storm on July 10. I called several large roofing companies in Omaha and they either wouldn't show up to give me the bid we had scheduled or the job wasn't big enough because it wasn't a total roof. We met Nate through a referral from our neighbor who was very pleased with his roof install. He gave us a very competitive quote & established a very professional rapport. We developed that in the fall & even though it was too late to do the installation, we were able to get it done in the spring with the same quote (even though prices had gone up). He provided his insurance certificate & all documentation that we requested.Materials arrived day before work was to commence & the crew & Nate were here to begin early next morning & finished that day! His crew cleaned up & he came back the next day for a final inspection & we were thoroughly pleased with the work (he even cut a few tree limbs that were overhanging the roof)! I used Nathan James Construction company to replace my roof and gutters that were damaged when a tree fell on my house. Nate was happy to work with me as I waited for insurance to get everything in order, and he came in right on budget for my roof project. The crew was timely, finishing my (small) roof in one day, and they did a wonderful job cleaning up at the end!What impressed me most was how responsive Nate was after the project. We experienced some wind 3 months after our roof was done and one shingle came loose on the north side of the house. I mention this because due to our own timing (roof put on in November) and the way the sun hits the north side in the winter, some of the sun-activated glue on this shingle must not have had the chance to fully activate. I sent Nate a message, and he got back to me right away; then he came out to fix the shingle on the next work day, and didn't charge me for tacking it back down.We have had no other leaks or issues at all, and I'm certain if we had our roof done in the summer this would not have happened in the first place. Nate was very thorough in explaining our roof/chimney flashing issues and also recommended that we should replace our roof turbine. We weren't aware that it was a very old model and wasn't working (spinning) properly. He gave us a great quote, showed up on time, cleaned up any debris (old shingles, pieces of flashing, old turbine, etc.) from our yard, and provided very professional customer service. Not only was my roof done quickly, professionally and beautifully; when my 85 pound dog needed to go out they made sure he had a safe run with no nails or debris. When they finished the job (in one day) they completely cleaned my yard, patio, deck and second floor windows. Nate’s communication with me and my insurance company was impeccable. We needed work done on our eaves and new gutters all around with leave guard on one side of our house that can't be easily reached. Initial contact, setting up an appointment for a free estimate, receiving the bid and finally installation of aluminum fascia and soffit as well as gutters -this was a great experience! After the work was done, they cleaned up so well, you'd never have guessed anyone was here to work on our house other than the fact that our roof looks fantastic now! I am so impressed with Nate and this company. We needed a new roof and gutters due to hail damage from last summer’s big storm. He explained in detail step by step what I could expect and was very professional throughout the entire encounter. His crew and him finished the roof in one morning/afternoon and due to rain, came another day to finish the gutters, which only took a few hours. Because the adjuster priced our new roof for more than Nate charged, Nate upgraded our shingles to high impact (which saves us 10% with our house insurance!) and also added in a ridge vent which has kept the house much cooler this summer, saving us money on our AC costs. They’re a very professional, and more importantly, honest company. You won’t regret hiring them.
