I would highly recommend Element Engineering!Andrew did a quick onsite inspection and identified several structural issues in the crawlspace, including unsupported joists and a cracked joist that needed to be reinforced. Andrew also knew exactly what was going on with a tall shear wall that was showing signs of bowing and clearly had a lot of experience addressing these kinds of issues. Andrew's team came by within a couple weeks and quickly fixed everything according to Andrew's specifications.The team was efficient, polite, and very professional. Kevin, who was supervising the team, was very patient with my many questions and requests, and made every effort to get the job done right. He clearly takes a lot of pride in his work and strives to make his customers happy.We're very happy with the work by Andrew's team and would absolutely recommend them to anyone. Considering how much work they did in such a short amount of time, the price was reasonable as well.

Element Engineering did an excellent job surveying our residential property. We were in sort of a time crunch to obtain a legal survey of our property corners to be completed for home buyers. . Andrew came to the rescue and squeezed us into his busy schedule. His team was prompt, efficient, personable and very knowledgable. I told Andrew that "I like the way he does business."I highly recommend Element Engineering to anyone who needs land surveying, house inspection, design work, etc. I have had a very trustworthy experience doing business with Andrew.

Definitely would not recommend Andrew. I was given his name from my designer who needed a structural report before designing my 1940-built kitchen (she had not used him before but she got his name from someone else). Andrew charged me $350 to come to the house, where he showed up without a ladder, a tape measure, or a flashlight (I had to provide those). He peeked into my attic, didn't bother to look in the basement or crawl space, then left after 5 minutes. He didn't send me a structural report, but instead sent a proposal for his construction company to remove TWO supporting walls. When I asked him for a structural report, he said he couldn't give me one without opening up the walls. So... a waste of $350. Note: I paid another engineer to provide a structural report. After a FULL inspection that included getting in the attic and the crawl space, it was determined only ONE wall was structural. Also, my designer gave Andrew's name to another client and he did the same thing to that client. Needless to say, the designer (again, she had not worked with him) will not give his name to any other clients.

We could not be happier with Andew's service. In the middle of a home purchase with a tight deadline, Andrew was able to come out quickly after we reached out to perform a structural inspection of our potential first home purchase. He found a major structural flaw in the foundation and was able to measure and quantify the settling that happened in the home due to poor construction. Without his service and professionalism we may have ended buying a home that had no resale value and found ourselves in a legal battle with the HOA. Highly recommended. Thank you!

Couldn’t be more pleased with my experience using Element Engineering. I had a small structural issue that required expert eyes with a statement as to findings. Andrew was prompt and had a friendly and a inviting demeanor, he was direct and did not waste my time. I am not one who likes to leave negative reviews but this is a special case. I found Andrew through Yelp, there were a lot of good reviews and his website showed he had been in business for some time. I tried calling him and his voicemail said his preferred form of communication was text…this should have been my first warning. (During the process I needed to speak with him regarding specifics and his email said to text him first to tell him I would be calling so that he would answer the phone. Again this is a major red flag). I decided to send him an email requesting a land survey and plot plan, he replied back that he could do it and his cost along with the promise of getting it completed in 10 days (that was April 24th). 10 days came and went, I had to reach out to him to see what the status was on May 10th he said he was aiming for the end of the week. I emailed him Friday the 14th in the afternoon asking for an update, no answer. We decided to drive by the property on the 17th and saw that the markers from the land survey were there. I sent him a text that day asking when to expect the plot plan and he replied on Wednesday…so I text him on the Wednesday the 19th, no answer. Then I get an email on the 20th that he is 75% done and asked for the house placement on the property and for 75% of the payment. So I send him the info he needs along with payment….May 28th we use the ‘plot plan’ but the measurements look wrong, he has our property line showing starting at the wrong point even though the markers from the land survey show that the property is where the accessors map shows it is. I ask him about this and he says that he is out of state and will send someone to check it out, this was on May 28th. June 9th we have not heard anything June 15th we ask for another update, he says his field guy is sick and he is still out of state. I am getting pretty fed up because our entire project is waiting on this plot plan! I decide to Google what a plot plan looks like and it looks nothing like what he sent us. No measurements and my contractor even said this is wrong. Our latest attempt to get something done was yesterday 6/29, my boyfriend sent him a text and email with no answer. I sent him a text and he said that the plot plan was correct (it is not, I have already talked to another civil engineer who is going to create a correct plot plan for us). I text him again today 6/30, asking for a plot plan with measurements…no answer. So I text him again asking if I could at least get the CAD files, he answered and said he just emailed them. This whole transaction has been completely unprofessional. I am glad I only paid the 75% but even at that it was a waste of money because the land survey has never been correct. I should have gone with someone else I am so mad at myself at this point. I plan on seeing what complaint I can put in against his civil engineers license. So do yourself a favor and find someone else that is more reliable. I am having a hard time understanding where any of these good reviews on Yelp and Google came from but if you look at the names listed of who submitted the review they only have 1 review submitted under that name which makes me think they are fake. Don’t waste your time or money on this guy!
