This was a pit stop on a long road trip we're taking! I felt the rooms were spacious, we easily fit a playpen and the kids even had a little space to run around. We all slept great! Everyone was friendly. Super grateful for their breakfast options. The nook looked small when walking in, but they had eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, yogurt, pastries, etc! Def had us a feeling happy on full tummies when we started our drive!

My wife and I needed a layover hotel in Winnemucca on our way to Boise. We chose the Best Western because of the price and because we have had good experiences with Best Western. The Best Western Plus Gold Country Inn is rated a 2 star hotel and it should be rated a 3 star hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. The location was great. We felt safe, it was right off the freeway and had good parking. The best part was the friendly and very helpful staff. They made you feel welcome and we had a good experience. We will definitely stay there again.

Normally I wouldn't take the time to write a review for something like this but because of the high price we paid I felt like people need to know what they are getting here. If it had been more appropriately priced (in the low-$100s) I think it wouldn't have been that bad, but when it's pushing $200 it's definitely a poor value.Overall I think that this motel was probably really nice 30+ years ago but the problem is that it looks like it hasn't been updated since then. It's all very dark and dated. It felt a bit like a dungeon going down the long dark hallways. Paint is chipping, things were cracking, water was standing in the bath tubs while we were showering. We heard at least two other people complaining about things so I don't think we are alone in this.The ownership needs to spend some money here and renovate this hotel and get it up to 2023 standards. It's just worn down. The luggage cards are barely held together with duct tape and the mattresses in the bedroom need replaced. I peeked into the office area and it looks like it hasn't been renovated since the 80s.Breakfast was decent for a motel breakfast but the milk was expired which was kind of gross.I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the room was fairly clean (though our socks got dirty after an evening here).Ownership either needs to lower their prices dramatically or spend some money here to make it worth the price.

Upon check-in we requested a standard king room and were told none available. The parking lot was less than half full. We were offered a slightly better upgrade, but at a much higher price. This room could have be sold at rack rate. It appears that being a loyal gold member means nothing.

Was only staying one night but ended up being two due to a flat. After the hectic day of dealing with the flat Best Western let us check in early. Great staff and breakfast stocked and pretty good.Rooms: Huge!! Traveled with three adults and a two year old.Safety: Had a uhaul and trailer with ATVs, no issues

Prices were a bit high when we came through Winnemucca, but the BW was the best value. A good hotel, clean and secure. The pool area was nice other than it felt like it was right in the middle of the parking lot. Breakfast selection was above the BW average.

We arrived early and didn’t expect to be able to check in early but we were very very lucky and the woman at the front desk was able to help us out. She was also super friendly, and our room was spacious, super clean, with nice amenities. The bed was too firm for our taste but can’t knock a hotel for firm beds as it’s such an individual preference. We really enjoyed our night here.

Good location while traveling through. Not much out here. Will not stay here again though. Housekeeper started knocking on our door 3 hours before check out. She returned 2 hours before check out. She came back 1 hour before check out and this time she briefly knocked & then proceeded to open the door. I was undressed and just out of the shower standing right next to the door getting my clothes from my suitcase. I stayed there with my 2 sons who said she did the same thing while I was in the shower. Had she opened the door on one of my kids I would’ve been even more livid especially if they too were undressed. Completely inexcusable & just straight ignorant behavior to do this OVER & OVER again for hours. I’ve never seen anyone act this way ever in my life while traveling & I travel alot. The front desk apologized but what does that do. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone! There are better options 2 mins down the road.Safety: Not safe at all. Untrustworthy staff in particular housekeepingNoteworthy details: Parking was also absurd. Tiny parking lot with 1/2 of it taken up by trucks with trailers parking sideways across 5-6 spaces. Normally I wouldn’t complain about that but for the hotel to allow that when there’s no parking to begin with seemed really stupid.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. My room was quiet and comfy, the breakfast had a lot of options and was very well maintained. The room had some nice touches like: complimentary bubble bath, some reading material on the history of Winnemucca (which is very interesting), and a shoe mitt (which I hadn’t seen in years). It’s the little details that matter.Overall, a great stay.

I travel a lot and Winnemucca is a nice town to stop at along my route. Usually this hotel is great however not the case this time. The hotel was out of hot water and only had lukewarm water. As a repeat customer (stayed over a dozen times) I asked if I could get a discount for the inconvenience and only got my dog fee waived which they also raised to 25 dollars a pet from 15. When you pay 140 plus for a night you would think you would get hot water. But as far as customer appreciation I was hoping for a bigger discount then my pet fee. They obviously don’t care. Will not be coming back to this hotel.

This Best Western stands out from many other Best Western properties. Very nice decor upon entering, hallways are nicely decorated and the rooms have a warm and inviting feel to them, not the modern industrial look that many newer hotels have. The beds were very comfortable and everything looked very clean and upkeep was great. In addition the staff were very friendly, they made you feel that you really were a wanted guest and neighbor at their hotel. Nice breakfast was provided in the morning. Thanks!

My Fiance were on a trip from ID to CA to see his mom who was not doing well. We were staying at a motel in Lodi that was so bad we checked out early and drove up to NV and spent night there on our way back. I googled Best Western and the reviews had me booking a room immediately...our mistake in not looking at reviews in CA hotel. Night and day difference. From the moment we walked in and the front lobby area was quiet and fresh smelling to our room that was clean and beds that were comfortable and like sleeping on a cloud. when we checked in fresh cookies and brownies were waiting for us. The toiletries were awesome on even included bath salts and a package with qtips, make up remover pads and emory board. that stuck out as they thought of even the small things. Their breakfast the next day was top notch and someone always came out to change things out or top things off. The water was great pressure in the shower and water not hard. I had to leave a negative review for place we stayed at before and this place deserved the 5 stars and all my words of praise. reserved online a king bed and they got reservation as 2 queens. they were willing to give us king room but we were so wiped out from before the 2 queens was great. If we ever find ourselves in Winnemucca, NV we willl hands down choose them again. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Love these spacious, very clean rooms!! This is my 2nd time staying at this property and will stay here again if I come through here in the future. The staff is very lovely and easy to deal with. The property is very secure so I feel safe if I want to walk to the Casino across the way. The rooms have a full size kitchen and all the amenities a traveler would need. If you are needing anything in particular, you can ask the front desk and they just might have what you are looking for!And just to note: at this property, if you want your room cleaned, you do have to make sure to hang the sign on your door for maid service.
