Not a big google reviewer, but other people should know about bad business practices. Review is for customer service only, I cannot attest to the quality of chimney work.0/5 for the worst customer service I've so far experienced in the Upper Valley. Someone from Blue Water came to my house to give an estimate for two chimney caps back in late August 2023 and sent an email with the estimate info. I responded to Jeremy's email saying we wanted to go ahead with the cap installation, and he replied saying that the caps were on backorder so it may be a few weeks. No problem, I can be flexible especially during what I'm sure is a busy time of year for chimney work. No email for a month so I sent another email mid to end of October, never got a reply. Called twice over 2-3 weeks and left two polite messages. Got a call back several weeks later sometime in November saying again that chimney caps had been backordered but they had just submitted a new order and would call back within a week or two to schedule installation. No one ever called back. I called them again at the end of December and left a message, again no one has ever replied.Going with a different company now. It's nice to patronize small businesses, but holy cow this was such a frustrating experience. I spent 5 months trying to get a simple chimney cap installation scheduled, and was repeatedly ignored AFTER THEY CAME OUT FOR AN ESTIMATE. Family/personal/other emergencies are understandable (if that's what happened, I have no idea) but if that's the case, be open about it. Based on recent reviews it looks like they've still been doing work in the past 5 months so I have no idea why I was treated this way.

Overall a great company! Communication is solid, I got an appointment in a reasonable timeframe, customer service is amazing (they returned my inquiry on their honeymoon!), prices are fair and the work done was top-notch. I hired Jeremy to clean the chimney where he arrived promptly and completed the work. Two months later I saw that the chimney cap had blown over and was hanging from one side which appeared to be the result of a screw missing from one or more sides. I’ve called Jeremy multiple times and as of a couple of months later, the cap is still not repaired. I would not recommend this company.Service: Chimney cleaning

We worked with Jeremy and would recommend them for chimney repair and replacement work. Jeremy tore down our old chimney and removed the liner. He installed a new liner and rebuild the chimney from the roof up and did a great job. He was on time with everything and even saved us a little labor due to not needing the entire time he had given us an estimate on. Friendly and very happy with the work done.

The Upper Valley chimney sweep/install market seems to be dominated by large companies with large overhead that make you pay for even an estimate, and small unlicensed companies that you hope know codes but have no way of confirming. Blue Waters fills an important void in the Upper Valley. Blue Waters is a small company, with the owner working on your project himself who is also licensed through the CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) so you know the job will be done to code. Jeremy was quick to give me a quote on my install and was in contact through the whole process. I would definitely hire Blue Waters again. Bonus points for having the best payment system I have dealt with from any contractor, anywhere.

We needed a metal flue installed in our chimney due to a downdraft and deterioration of the clay tiles. Jeremy came to our house quickly, investigated and gave us an estimate. In the estimate he broke down the expenses and indicated that if he did not need to do certain things like chip out the existing tile we would not be charged. Within a week he was back, installed the flue and reduced the charge where work was not required. He also climbed on the roof in the snow and cold. We are very appreciative.
