I would highly recommend using Allen Chimneys.I can’t say enough good things about owner, Theron, and his team! Our fireplace was in rough shape before. It needed everything done - a new liner for the main chimney, a new liner for our boiler, the chimney needed to be repointed, and we had it converted to gas. Allen Chimneys worked quickly to ensure we had a working gas fireplace, and as a plus they made it happen before the holidays. We are so happy with how it turned out!

Theron, Orlando and his crew, and the staff at Allen Chimneys were very professional, responsive, helpful and hardworking. The fee was very competitive and reasonable. They went above and beyond, worked an extra day and did a very thorough and quality job. My fireplace chimney (circa 1942) was relined with an insulated stainless steel liner (previous clay tile lining was removed); the smoke chamber was hand-parged with refractory cement; the old throat damper was removed; and the back of my firebox was relined with new fire bricks and refractory cement (old fire bricks were loose and mortar was failing). They were also able to repurpose the existing top damper. They meticulously set up drop clothes with cardboard from the entry door to the fireplace to protect the hardwood floors and natural stone on the floor in front of the fireplace. They carefully set up plastic tarps inside the living room to contain particulates and dust and to protect the brick and woodwork around the front of the fireplace. After the work was completed, there was very minimal dust near the fireplace and the natural stone, walls and woodwork were spotless. No debris was left in the front yard as well. The one critical piece of this review is that to obtain access to the roof for chimney access the ladders were placed directly against the aluminum gutter (no stand-off ladder attachment used) despite forewarnings to the crew of likely scuffs to the powder coating and dents to the pliable aluminum; the aluminum gutter was ultimately scuffed and slightly dented, which is visible from ground level. They alsoplaces directly on and crushed a part of the ridge vent on my roof (Theron did pay for the one section of ridge vent to be replaced, which was the right move). If I could, I would give the review a 4.9. After and before photographs are provided. Allen Chimneys is highly recommended!

I had my chimney cleaned yesterday. The men were professional. However, after they left I found a spot of soot on my brand new area rug in the area where the men were working. When I called to let the owner know and ask how he would like to handle this, he blamed me and my dog for the stain. He was EXTREMELY rude and mansplained that it was logical that my dog caused the stain. If my dog had caused the stain I certainly would have found soot ON my dog or elsewhere in the house. There was not. If you value your property, want a company that takes care of their customers, and want to make sure things are kept clean, find a different company!Services: Chimney flue cleaning, Chimney cleaning

I had another company come out and give me an estimate before Theron came out to assess the job I wanted done. Instead of giving me an estimate, he was upfront and suggested I don’t go with the intended work. The other guy who came out didn’t even hint about what Theron was concerned about and I truly appreciate how Theron was thinking about the customers best of interest instead of being just about the $$$. I didn’t get the job done so Allen Chimneys didn’t do the work for me but I’m leaving a review just to speak on how honest they are.

So far we had two semi major jobs done by Allen Chimney’s- we have replaced the flue in the chimney as unbeknownst to us the previous owner never did so even though they converted their furnace power source from oil to gas. And the second and the more recent job was the chimney rebuild. We figured we shop around and see what anyone else would compare to in job estimates and figured by now we trust Allen more than others. We also like to keep it local, and we are just a next town over.Both jobs were completed as expected in terms of estimated hours provided to us. The crew that came in were all polite and they worked clean. I typically do not consider humbleness in a crew as a must these days, unless you see opposite spectrum to know that the humble and considerate type of people are the best. Allen’s team was that. Their did their work. They were clean. They were not loud or inconsiderate of closely positioned neighbors who may have still been working remotely during the hours of their work. I didn’t have to make a comment or concern myself with them at all. They came in, walked that roof like cats, cleaned up and left us with a brand new chimney and already previously done flue that is now letting our old furnace breath and live more years behind its expectancy.

He really knew what he was talking about and did not try to upsell me at all. They replaced my damper, cleaned my flue, and did some great mason work in my hearth/firebox. I used Allen Chimneys for installing a steel liner inside the heating flu. During the installation they realize that heating flu has more than one turn inside, they spent 11 hours and called additional help to finish installation while it was raining. Today I had my chimney inspected and cleaned by Allen Chimneys. Both employees, Luis and Willy, were prompt, professional, thorough, and able to knowledgably answer my questions about the service and maintenance of my wood burning stove. In addition, they inspected the exposed portion of the chimney up on the roof and took photos to help explain areas that may need attention or repair. In this day and age, it was a relief and reassuring to see a company provide a service with a level of professionalism and competency from start to finish. Appointment delayed due to inclement weather but communication to reschedule was good. Guys phoned ahead to give an ETA and showed up on time. Service was good - they were clean, did the inspection and cleaning, communicated their findings well, and told me what to expect next. It was a good experience and I think a fair price for it.Next appointment for Spring delayed due to weather and virus chaos. Showed up as rescheduled for exterior chimney cleaning and spot repairs. The 2-man crew were courteous and did the job as professionally as I expected, including a roof repair recommendation. I recommend the company to everyone, they really know what they're doing and do it like normal professional people!

Just had our chimneys relined and from the estimate to the installation it was a very easy process. Everyone was very professional and they did great work. They talked us through the process and answered our questions so we knew what was happening and when. Wonderful guys and we’ll be using them again to do the repairs to the stone in the outside of our chimney.Also, they were very clean! Allen Chimneys did an excellent job relining our fireplace flue and repairing some cracks in our firebox. Scheduling the work was very easy and tech-savvy, which I so appreciate! The workers were friendly, respectful, wore masks while in the house, and set up a cool plastic fort around the fireplace to ensure no soot escaped and got our walls/ceiling/floor dirty. Would have been 5 stars if Allen Chimneys could've done the chimney inspection themselves, but they're so busy right now they had to outsource. The person they recommended was excellent, but there was some disconnect, and the inspection was expensive and didn't count toward the overall cost of the work. Also felt that, once the work began, we didn't get much information about how long the job would take (3 full days), and once the job was done we had call them to ask how to use our new fireplace flue. Apart from that, the service was excellent and the work top notch. I will be recommending them.Service: Chimney flue cleaning

I was very impressed with the service I received from Allen Chimneys. The 2 gentlemen were very friendly and knowledgeable & took the time to answer any questions or concerns I had about my fireplaces. They also took the time to work very clean and left no mess whatsoever. The service I received far exceeded my expectations, they included an inspection and checked the chimney top & adjusted both dampers for me ontop of cleaning both chimneys. I will definitely be using only them for any and all future cleaning/repairs in my home.

Theron came up with a wonderful solution to repair the damage to my rather unique Wells fireplace funace installed in 1985. No one else of the many chimney people who looked at it were able to save the fireplace and enable it to continue to work as it was designed . I can't compare the value because no one else came up with a solution. But the money I paid was worth having my fireplace back. Thank-you to Theron and the crew who did the work. The crew was terrific. very pleasant, polite and I would not hesitate to recommend this service

I called Allen Chimneys for an estimate to repair my fireplace. While the estimate arrived in under 24 hours what I really got was an education on what was wrong with my fireplace and chimney and what Allen Chimneys could do to fix it. Rob and Tim arrived on time (actually they called to see if they could come earlier - yes!) They were so respectful of my home - wore masks, had foot covering on, covered my rug with a cloth as they examined my hearth and chimney. Rob took pictures and explained what he thought was wrong and then took more photos when up on the roof to confirm his suspicions. As someone who believes in customer service is critical to a company's success, Rob really made an effort to be sure my husband and I understood the issue and our options. When the estimate arrived the next evening I was like "WOW - these guys want the business" and are responsive. I look forward to booking a date and getting started!

The Allen Chimney workers did an awesome job with our chimney liner, clean out section and new hearth pad. They cleaned up all the dust and made sure the area looked as good, if not better, than it did before they started. We asked for a second opinion on an inspection report from a different chimney company stating our chimney was dangerous and needed a new (very expensive!) liner. Allen Chimneys was very responsive and professional and scheduled a prompt appointment. Theron took a look at the chimney in question and said that it has a steel liner in good working order. No need for that expensive liner! I tried to pay him for his time but he didn’t accept. Feel lucky to have found such an honest second opinion. In the future we will be using Allen Chimneys!
