If you're like me, you're not a roofer and you don't know a whole lot about roofs. There are a lot of charlatans out there, who will entice you with a low cost and get a roof on your house sloppily in 2 days.But I can tell you that Novalis was extremely thoughtful and thorough from start to finish. They identified some clear issues with our roof construction that others missed, proposed and explained very reasonable solutions, and were excellent to communicate with.The work crews were careful, methodical, and paid attention to small details. Our foreman was a great guy and clearly takes pride in his work.They even took time to clean every small piece of debris, use a magnet to pick up the nails or any metal pieces so my dog doesn't get hurt, and give us a clear update every day.For certain you will pay more for a roof with Novalis. But for one of the most important parts of your home, using someone that you can absolutely trust is probably worth it.

Absolutely top notch service. We hired Novalis to re-do siding on my home. We received quotes from several contractors, and tried to find ways to go the cheap-o route. We ended up using Novalis even though they were on the higher end of the spectrum because they were clearly going to get the job done right. And they definitely did. Ernie was very knowledgable and communicative through out the whole process, helping us along the way. And Luis was a stand out craftsman. He really took time and care to make sure every detail was accounted for and no shortcuts were taken. The final product if gorgeous and we couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

I am very pleased with the work completed on my house. I had been shopping around for quotes for some work I needed done on my bay window roof and siding. They sent a very knowledgeable worker who was able to answer all my questions and provide me with recommendations on the spot. While it was not the cheapest quote I received (but also not the most expensive), it was the most comprehensive in terms of work that would address a problem that I believed would solve an issue I was having with a leak. I have an older house (1900) with difficult to work with siding and Novalis was the only company whose quote directly targeted some damage to the siding above my bay window and offered what I believe to be a long term solution.Understandably, it took a few weeks for me to get on the schedule, but this was communicated up front with me and I was fine waiting. Once I was on the schedule I had a team of two workers come to my house and complete the work within two days. They reroofed the bay window roof, redid the flashing, cut a strip of siding to install edging which fixed the damage that was there, and installed gutters. Pictures were provided before, during, and after the work was completed. The workmanship is top tier and it fixed the leak I was having.Overall, I had a very positive experience with Novalis and intend on continuing with them for future work that needs to be completed on my house. I believe that the pricing quoted is appropriate for the value of the work, and their customer service is fantastic. I highly recommend Novalis for anyone shopping around for a knowledgeable, high value roofing/ siding contractor, especially with difficult issues encountered with older houses.

Our entire experience with Novalis Roofing was 5-stars from our initial meeting with company rep Ernie who reviewed the project in detail and provided a fair estimate of the work, to Selvin and his roofing crew and to Gomez and his team who provided new gutters and leaders. One can see that the entire Novalis team takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail and wants the homeowner to be completely satisfied. They answered in detail any questions we threw at them, made no damage to our home and made sure that all debris was collected at the end of each work day. We only wish that all contractors that we have dealt with in the past and will in the future have the same work ethic as Novalis Roofing.

From the very start, I could sense this company was different from others. Alex requested to go on the roof and wanted see the decking in the attic. He didn't see too many problems in the attic but it's nice to see the attention to detail. He saw some problems with the existing shingles and tried to explain them but thought it was better if he showed me with photos.He provided nearly 100 photos, with many containing arrows describing the problems. He found several exposed nails, improper valleys, slipping shingles, possibly incorrectly sloped gutters and generally worn shingles.The attention to detail was pretty clear. They might be a bit more expensive but they also seem to use better products and take extra time to do things correctly. Since we had occasionally leaking skylights, we didn't want to go with someone just because they were a little cheaper. He provided suggestions on shingle colors and how they can address some of our prior roof problems.Fredo and his crew were quite timely, worked very hard and seemed to be very thorough. He spent extra time on the problematic areas we had described to him and explained what he and his crew were doing to correct these problems. I never felt they were rushing to get things finished. This meant they didn't get it all done in one or two days due to the number of skylights and roof penetrations but it was in sections to avoid having exposed sections of wood.Each day, they cleaned up the area, took dozens of photos of the progress and provided a good status update.While it's too early to see if there are any problems, I am very confident they would come out quickly to address any concerns we have.It's rare to have this kind of service and thoroughness. They were quick to respond to any questions and each person from the office, sales, and the work crew, were friendly and really cared about making the project as smooth as possible for us.

I reached out to Novalis Roofing and Siding for a minor repair job to our home's wood siding (caused by woodpecker damage). They were able to send someone out the next day to look at the damage and provide a reasonable quote. They were able to schedule the work within the same week, and the crew that came was very professional and polite. I would definitely use them again for any future work we may have!

I was really impressed with Novalis’ professionalism from the start. They offer a wide array of services including roofing, gutters, and siding. I greatly appreciated the level of care they took with their inspections, telling me what the immediate problems were and giving me options to resolve longer term issues. We engaged in very involved conversations concerning my home’s past maintenance history and what direction I would like to go in. They answered all of my questions with detailed and reasonable responses. As part of all this, they took photographs of whatever they were concerned about so I could see for myself what was going on. In turn, this all culminated in a detailed quote and pictorial analysis that could be broken down into sub-projects if I preferred. When the job was done, they took more pictures to show me the finished product. I wish all companies operated like this. I was so happy with the one project they did for me that I switched over to them for other work because my former vendors simply weren’t performing at this level. In summary, I highly recommend Novalis Roofing and Siding to anyone who wants the job done correctly the first time.

Novalis was excellent to work from start to finish. This was a small project to install venting in 3 bathrooms and cut into the roof and they treated this as important as a very large job. Ernie came onsite to view requirements and provided a fast turn around with a great price through email. The operations team scheduled us quickly and even called to come earlier since they had a cancellation one day. Upon the day of work the team was clean, professional and communicated as they went along. Before I knew it the job was completed and all was installed properly. I highly recommend Novalis and will speak with them again for future work.

TL;DR: Overall I am quite disappointed that Novalis i) offered a bad solution to my issue; ii) falsely overpromised on what their work would achieve; iii) weren’t willing to stand by their work and accept responsibility that the work did not do what they said it would, iv) wouldn’t work with me to find a solution; and most importantly v) talked about me behind my back and then pretended to be nice about it to my face.Full review: I had a very negative experience with Novalis. I called them to come check out a leak I was having that was showing up around my chimney inside the attic. Someone from Novalis came out to inspect and informed me that the flashing looked to be in good shape but that the leak was coming from the chimney itself, and said there were cracks in the mortar that needed to be filled to stop the leaking. I gave them the ok to start work based on their diagnosis but sure enough, the work did not solve the issue. I called them again to let them know and see if there was anything to be done. This time, a different tech came out and gave us a totally different diagnosis and said that the “solution” that last tech had given us wouldn’t have worked - he even said he was going to talk to him when he got back to the office to figure out why he gave that recommendation. When I called the office later to discuss that discrepancy, I was told that the original work they performed wasn’t guaranteed to work - but it’s the first step in a series of steps which they take to try to eliminate what the potential issue is. I understand that it can be very difficult to diagnose the source of a roof leak, but that is not how the original tech presented his solution to us. He assured us what he gave as a recommendation would work. If it was presented as a potential solution I may not have done the work or at least would have had different expectations. It is strange to offer solutions in a prescribed order, rather than trying to accurately diagnose the problem the first time. I asked if we could compromise and have the cost of the original work (or some portion of it) offset against the next “step” of their plan since what they had done originally didn’t fix anything. It was only a couple hundred dollars that would be offset against several thousand. Given the lack of communication and the fact that the second tech told us the first guy had no idea what he was doing, I thought it was a reasonable request. The sales person on the phone said let me speak to my sales manager. The next part is the real kicker and the reason I won’t work with Novalis again. The sales person thought that they put me on hold, but in reality I could still hear the conversation between them and the sales manager. They spent several minutes talking about how it was crazy I would even ask for something like that, that I had no idea what I was talking about and that they would never even consider any sort of compromise like that. They also said some not friendly stuff about me and insulted my intelligence while they thought I couldn’t hear. The sales person got back on the line - faking friendliness - and was starting to tell me they can't meet me halfway. At which point I told them, politely (which was hard), that I was going to find a different company to work with and would recommend that you not talk poorly about your customers behind their back when you think they are on hold. Novalis is not a company I would trust with my roof or chimney, nor to let in my house again. I have not heard from Novalis since this incident. We have since had other roofing companies come out to inspect, and have seen photo evidence that the work performed by Novalis was done haphazardly and fixed absolutely nothing.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Alex was very informative. The entire staff communicated well. They were always on time and cleaned up daily. The owner was onsite daily and always available to answer my questions. We have dogs and were concerned about the nails and every evening they were very thorough in cleaning up. The final product is beautiful. We had a new roof, gutters and siding put on our house. I highly recommend the entire team. Very professional and they truly care about the quality of their work.

Novalis saved the day. We had a leak inner roof and just had our roof replaced completely but we were not told the chimney was not covered. Our leak persisted and once again caused interior damage. We asked literally 7-8 roofers and chimney specialists to make the necessary repairs but to no avail. Thankfully we were referred to Novalis who had a plan and did the repairs very timely. I am a contractor and was working on a large project in Harding Township. And saw a large roofing project in progress by Novalis Large Cedar roof. While working on my project I was able to talk to the home owner about the roof being replaced. She explained to me the situation she had with another company, and said Novalis was in to do the way it should be done. She gave a glowing review of her experience at that time. I was in the market to replace the roof on my home which was originally a barn. Parts of my home were built as early as 1795 and various additions over the years. Needless to say it was a complex job, and was not done well in the past. I had 5 contractors come out to give estimates and talk about what they were going to do. Novalis had the most comprehensive understanding of the job, and the experience to be able to do it right. They delivered on everything discussed and even some additional work that came up. They also involved me throughout the process when there were other things not directly related their work that I should be aware of. They didn’t just ignore things and go over them. I got photos of the progress and any issues throughout the process. Pricing was competitive especially for the work being done. More importantly I had the confidence that the job was being done right which is more important to me than price. The end product was well worth it. I would highly recommend Novalis in the future.

Fantastic team, highly recommend. Antonio did a very detailed assessment of my roof. Two jobs: 1) Replace flat roof, install AZEK soffit and facia. 2) Assess and reline Yankee Gutters.Antonio took multiple pictures, explaining everything in layperson’s speak.
