Horrible workmanship. If you want your chimney/roof fixed or serviced with a reliable company, DO NOT call these people. They were supposed to fix the water issue that was occurring at my home, I paid them and a year and a half later the same problem is happening. I have pictures from before the job and pics from when they came back out to look at the job and it looks like they didn’t do anything. It looks horrible. The owner didn’t even have the decency to get on the phone, some manager spoke on his behalf. Very sarcastic and laughing on the phone. I have a contract that shows what they were supposed to do and they didn’t. In my opinion, if you are hired to do a job and got paid, you should do right by your customers. Once again, DO NOT choose this B.S of a company.I am responding to your response. It’s totally false. These pics are from last week from your technician that came out. These pics are recent pics, which should never look like this especially if you pride yourself on doing good work. It definitely was in our budget as we clearly spent the money. Don’t lie to your customers. You guys simply did not do what was necessary and that’s the bottom line. This is a testament to your work and I would only hope that people go elsewhere when choosing a RELIABLE company.

Our 65 year old chimney was causing damage to our heater. Our heater service company recommended A1 to install a new liner and ducting to it. They came out promptly and in a short amount of time had a new liner installed. Very pleased with new setup and how clean they left the work area.

Excellent company! I have used them before for new chimney liners, and cleaning. Also had bricks replaced on chimney and a new cap. I needed a certification for my chimney before house sale. They were quick to schedule and Phil explained all points that needed to be checked. Kudos to Izabella for promptly following up next day to supply additional paperwork I needed. Would definitely recommend.

Communication with them was timely and professional from start to finish. The workmen were respectful, and the job was done promptly and to our satisfaction. After having to evacuate our home due to high carbon monoxide levels, our plumber recommended A1 Affordable Chimney and Roofing service. George (the owner) came to our home within the hour to address our issue, which was a collapsed chimney blocking the exhaust. He was extremely personable, friendly, and showed genuine concern. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand without being condescending (as most specialized contractors are IMO) and we were quoted a fair and reasonable price. His crew came the next day to replace the chimney liner. They arrived on time, were very friendly and professional, considerate of our property, clean and efficient. I highly recommend A1 Affordable Chimney!

Several chimney service companies ran away when they saw my terracotta tiles falling out of my 110- year old flue. I saw A-1's truck on the Turnpike and as a last resort, gave them a call. The next day, a Saturday, Chris arrived and within a half hour of evaluating my chimne, I had a quote in hand for Thermocrete Flue Sealant and Smoktite smoke chamber sealant. Two days later, Chris' team arrived with the equipment and the chops to bring my beloved fireplace back to life. Phenomenal work ethic and attention to detail. And their price was fair as well. This is my third project with A-1 Affordable since using them for a chimney service and roofing. My recent project required a major fix to address leakage in my fireplace and basement. Considering the amount of work that was required (overhaul of chimney and sealing basement) the process went smoothly and the work was completed in a timely manner.  Setting up appointments had been easy and convenient especially the financing part. I recently needed work on my chimney and found this company which was a recommendation from my oil company, who I have had for years and trust. First the quoted price which the technician provided at time of service was in his words “$500 less than his competitors “ who upon completion of the work charged me that extra $500 he beat other repairmen’s price by saying it was more work than he thought even though he inspected the chimney both inside and on the roof. And now on top of this is a permit fee. Although under $100 it’s still an unexpected cost that was not given to me beforehand. I admit I should have read the fine print. Recently I was doing some homework and trying to find a chimney repair company in the area. I gave them a shot to come give me a quote. They were very efficient in communicating when they can come provide a quote and also worked around my schedule to do so. I was very happy with the price point and also found out that I would be able to receive a discount through my oil company.Later in the week the crew came to complete the project. Everything went very smooth and all my questions were answered. From what I’ve seen so far, the quality of the work is good. But like anything else I have to make sure that the health and structure of the chimney remain strong in years to come.Initially when I was reviewing the work that was complete, I noticed there were gaps in some of the pipes. In the photo I have attached you can see some of the gaps on the right side, however when I brought this to the attention of the lead team member, he immediately addressed it and fixed the issue.Also, they did me a huge favor and patched up the chimney piece that broke off because they were already mixing some cement on site.The reason that I cannot provide a 5-star rating is because of the follow up. About 20 minutes after the job is complete I received a phone call asking how the work was. I said that everything went well and I was very happy with it.Following that I had another phone call and a long voicemail left about an hour later. The following day I received 3 additional phone calls asking for my feedback and long voicemails. I finally answered and was left with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth with the excessive phone calls during my work day.

The Team showed up on time. There were three men Angel, Val and I apoligize I can't remember the 3rd name. They went directly to work and worked continually for 6 hours. They were very friendly and the one in charge explained things to me.Their workmanship and QUALITY was IMPECCABLE, EXTREMELY CONSCIENTIOUS and all went ABOVE AND BEYOND!!My Chimney was repaired (practically rebuilt) cleaned and lined. Always a pleasure to work with A-1 Affordable. This is our second work order, first for masonry repairs on a pair of 75 year-old chimneys and now for a new oil burner flue liner system. Top quality stainless steel liner utilized and thorough clean-up after completion. All done to local code and details of repair provided prior to start of work, including pictures of specific problem issues. Recommended by the oil supply company so billing was through them. Only 3 work days between initial inspection and completion. As usual, company rep calls to verify satisfaction. Not a lot of that kind of follow through anymore. No wonder why the reviews are consistently outstanding! Reliable, efficient, and trustworthy. This was the worst contractor experience I ever had. I hired them to replace my chimney liner. They:- were completely unresponsive for a month after I agreed to the job- they didn’t show when they said they would (my wife or I missed work for this)- they left my living room a complete mess- the guys doing the install insisted the chimney for my fireplace didn’t need a damper.- they installed a new liner that doesn’t allow me to use my fireplace; with the round metal liner, there’s not enough air passage to keep the smoke from backing up into my house. I’m going to have to replace it with a cast in place liner at some point.- they didn’t correctly apply for the needed permits, so I had to play phone tag with them for another month after the job was done

A-1 performed the relining of the chimney flue using a ceramic coating after a thorough cleaning. The price was fair. After spending my career dealing with thousands of subcontractors, I must place A-1 Affordable at the top tier of contractors. Their communication was great; they showed up when promised and met all of their commitments. The workers were courteous and very respectful of my wife and me and of my home. They protected the surrounding area and made a difficult and potentially dirty job very manageable with no problems in the surrounding rooms. The A-1 foreman was informative and kept me apprised of every step of the installation. I highly recommend this company. Was supposed to show up on a scheduled day in the afternoon and give a call 30 to 40 min before arriving had a family member on standby to run over to the house when they called. Got no call prior to arrival showed up in the morning not afternoon and when I called that afternoon when I got home they rescheduled me for a Saturday between 9-5 waited at home all day and when 3 o’clock rolled around called to get an estimated time and was informed I wasn’t even on the schedule. Would look somewhere else first.
