Affordable Home Services offered me the most inexpensive, reasonable estimate among five contractors I had contacted last summer. Not only did their assessment meet my budget, but they also did high-quality, fantastic jobs on my house. They did a beautiful siding with a new front entrance. The owner, Jim, is a genuinely customer-focused contractor who runs over the seventy-year-old family business in New Jersey. He did care about even my request to fix a small dent on the aluminum trim by the roof a month later after completing the siding job. Also, he provided me with a list of reliable, professional contractors for my other needs, such as asphalt paving, garage door replacement, etc.I appreciate Jim's help very much and highly recommend Affordable Home Services. Affordable was hired to rebuild a porch at my home. While the job was to take a few days, the weather dropped to 0 and the crew had to wrap up. Next morning I awoke to no water. I figured the pipe would thaw and we’d have water. But within an hour the pipe burst. While I shut the water flow and cleaned up I called Anthony the foreman and told him what happened. While he is not a plumber, he said, I’ll come over and try to see if he could fix it. Within 10 minutes, he shows up with his kids in the car, saw the problem and said he could handle it. A trip to the plumbing supply and within an hour we had water again. A lot of companies would have said “Call a Plumber.” Anthony came over and solved the problem. Jim, John, and their team replaced our roof and added a portico above our front door in May 2020. Even during quarantine, they were very responsive and great to work with. We have had some bad experiences with other contractors in the past few years, but working with Affordable was painless! They were professional, had high quality work, and were overall nice people to work with. We are very happy to have brought our business to Affordable, and we will definitely go back to them if we need any other work done to our home.

Jim and his crew did an excellent job on my siding, roof and gutters about 8 years ago. I still get compliments today! So when my daughter bought her house and needed some minor siding repair I thought of Jim & Affordable. I called him and he picked up right away. He still remembered me by my first name! Affordable Home Services recently remodeled our bathroom and did an excellent and professional job. The bathroom was completely gutted, electrical and plumbing was updated, a vent was added and the tile work is subperb. The bathroom looks gorgeous! This is the second time we used AHS and did not hesitate to call Jim & John back. AHS did our vinyl siding, roof, gutters and front bay window 12 years ago and did a fantastic job. Even after completing the job, Jim was happy to send his crew back to make complimentary repairs.You couldn’t find a better contractor, Jim was the best to work with, he is very knowledgeable and honest, suggests great ideas and promptly responds to all our questions and phone calls. He is customer-focused and will make sure that you are completely happy. During the renovation, we had a problem with an air conditioning leak and Jim had his crew repair it at no charge! There was a pipe burst underneath the split kitchen sink. I called Jim yesterday afternoon and explained the situation to him. Jim texted within an hour and told me the repair person will be arriving to fix the leakage first thing in the morning. The gentleman arrived at 7:45 AM and within the hour I was able to use both sides of the sink.I highly recommend Affordable Home Services for any renovation. Jim and team are professional and hard workers based on the kitchen renovation they did for my family couple of years ago. UPDATE 2022: Once again, we needed repair work. I called Jim and within 24hrs he had his crew from Affordable Home Services on site working and fixing everything just like brand new. It is amazing how this company works. I am more than satisfied every time I contact Jim. Do Not hesitate to call Affordable, you will become a happy customer like me if you do!UPDATE: 2021-- We put a dent in our garage door frame. Within 2 days, AT NO CHARGE, Jim had his crew from Affordable Home Services here to replace the frame. I've said it before and I'll say it again... THE BEST COMPANY to deal with. Excellent communication, prompt and on-time work crew, beautiful work and pleasant staff!! ---- Jim and his staff were the absolute best to work with. Wanted to put an addition on the house. New siding all around, New windows and new roof. Just the shell. Called 10 different contractors and from the 5 that called me back affordable home services was the best and most professional right from the start. Everything was transparent from the beginning. I met with Jim and he oversaw the entire project, kept in constant contact and always answered all our questions and concerns promptly. He also helped me alot with additional questions and ideas since inwas performing all the work on the inside. All sub contractors were professionals and very helpful. I am truly very happy with the results of the work done in my home - remodeling of my kitchen, basement repairs, rebuilding of my porch, replacement and installation of bay windows, toilets and other repairs. Affordable Home Services did a fantastic job. I absolutely love my "new" kitchen and of course the rest of the renovations done in my home.Jim Federle is great and I find him very accommodating. I liked the fact that he regularly checked the work being done at my home. Good gentleman to deal with and I found it easy to trust him.It was a 3-member crew that did the work (Pedro, Frank & Aurelio) - it was amazing to me (who does not really know much about construction) that they can do everything. They were very punctual - came in at 8 am and left at 5 pm. They were courteous and respectful, and the team lead always answered my "20 questions" every morning before they started their day. They did all that I requested them to do during the entire process.I cannot forget to mention the beautiful kitchen design that Rocco did. I have a small kitchen that now looks spacious. The plumbing team, George and Richie as well and the electrical team, Andy and Rob all did a fantastic job.I compared 6 contractors before I made my decision. All of them were recommended by friends. Affordable Home Services was recommended to me also by a friend and who is also my real estate agent. I chose Affordable because they offered a "turnkey" contract, read about their good reviews, and my friend told me that everyone who he recommended AHS to were very happy with the results. In addition, the initial talks with Jim elicited my trust and I also relied on my gut feeling. In the end, I believe and know that I got the best return for my investment. I am one HAPPY camper. These guys were great. Everything went as planned. Finished the entire beautiful roof job in one day (7am - 7pm). Removed old roof, repaired sheathing, installed new roof with all the best materials and cleaned up.And I might add with no complaints from any neighbors. Not easy! Dumpster was removed early next morning and gutters and leaders were all replaced in the same professional manner. Highly recommend Affordable Home Services. I had such a great experience with this company! It dated back to November of 2018 when Ron came out for an estimate to do the siding on my house and renew my deck . He represented the company in such a professional manner and gave me a quote right away. Fast forward to January 2020 when I finally decided to move forward with Ron and his company. Sadly, Ron has since passed away and I was contacted by Jim, the owner of the company. He came out on a Sunday and reviewed the 2018 estimate and honored the great quote from Ron. Thereafter everything moved ahead very quickly. A dumpster was placed on my driveway and the siding came off very quickly. Jim helped me decide on color of the siding and the stone with several samples and some good tips. The workers were very polite, clean and quick. Most of them are long time employees and truly know what they are doing. All in all the siding and the deck took a little bit over 3 weeks. I’m very pleased and would recommend this company for siding, decking and replacing the gutters! Besides, I had 5 estimates from different companies and Affordable Home Services came in so much better than any of the other bids.Service: Gutter installation

We contacted Affordable Home Services to check on prices and immediately we got a response back from Mr Rob. He came by our house offered their services and we were pleased with the outcome of the meeting. They came on a Saturday and where finished by Saturday. Impressive. We has a few issues with a couple of shingles. And after a couple of conversations with Mr Rob eventually the issues where taken care of. I would recommend them for your roofing needs they do a great job.

I hired Affordable to transform a large storage closet in the first floor of my home into a 3/4 bath. Jim gave me a firm price, which didn't change except for a few upgrades I decided to add. He handled all the permits, and his crews dug up a cement floor, and carried everything out through my first floor bedroom without a nick or scratch to my floor. They finished on time too. The bathroom came out looking gorgeous, with all the finish work looking perfect and the faucets, lighting, towel rack, all high quality. I absolutely loved working with Jim and his team. I would never go anywhere else for any major home projects.

Installed siding. Did a good job and very happy with the finished product. The reason for only 3 stars is there were issues with both of my flood lights after they were put back up and it took a while to get someone back to get them fixed.After they were both finally fixed (one of them is still not working 100% as it was before the install of the siding) I didn’t mind much that I had to wait for the lights to be fixed but had an issue with how I was asked to pay the final balance. Very unprofessional and not a good way to do business.

I've had Affordable Home renovate my shower and kitchen. I am in love with how they both turned out. It is great dealing with the owner Jim as he really takes care of your wants and needs for the renovation. He even went to the granite shop with me to look at slabs. Jim did renovation for our house in 2014 and service was great. Again we hired Jim for remodeling as we wanted a family room. Initially our plan was to convert the attached garage to a living room. Jim suggested adding room to the other side while retaining the garage. We are so thankful to his idea that now we have our garage and a beautiful family room which can be easily accessed from our living room. Jim worked closely with town to get approval from zoning and got all the permits. Work moved at a nice pace and finally everything came out so beautiful. Addition looks like it was always part of the house. We are so happy with the hard work and dedication of Jim’s team. Now we have a big family room ready for summer.
