Nick, the owner, was involved from start to finish.if any situation came up he was immediately on top of it. He always said he wanted to make us happy. Highly recommend working with Bora Construction! Nick and his team have done numerous projects for our brownstone over the years including 1) painting the building (bottom half of the 1st picture), 2) installing a new gutter and downspout, 3) creating a new walkway with a french drain to help redirect water away from our building, 4) reinforcing our deck and more. We've been really happy with the quality and timeliness of the work.Nick is super easy to work with and offers reasonable prices. We look forward to working with Bora on future home improvement projects!

I had a leak that some contractors dismissed, because it wasn’t obvious from my roof, where it was coming from. However, Bora was the most knowledgeable in the potential reasons why it was leaking. They were the most reasonably quoted in price and timeline for the options of an additional layer or a new roof replacement. Thankfully, I choose the latter, which after demo, revealed the plywood and chimney conditions. There were added costs and structural concerns, but Bora explained what all my options were before moving forward and showed good workmanship.Nick, Daniela, George, Luis and the crew were respectful, communicative and professional. Since they finished in the beginning of July, the gutter has been draining properly with no leaks. My only critique is there could have been a little more effort from the crew in moving the items they rearranged back and cleaning the backyard. Bora did apologize and offered to come back, but I had already done it myself. I would still recommend and hire them again. I’ve worked with multiple contractors for interior and exterior projects of my home and compared to those experiences, the entire Bora team has been one of the better companies to work with.

I was very apprehensive and nervous in the beginning because of past experiences. But Nick assured that I could trust him and his team. And it was exactly that from the very beginning. We worked with Bora Construction to replace the roof, gutters, and sidings. This is a big project for even an experienced homeowner, but especially nerve-wracking considering this is our first home and emotions were high. To our surprise, the project took only 2.5 weeks even with 3 days of rain. Luis and crew accounted for the weather in their roof and sidings work, and there was absolutely zero water intrusion.Nick's top quality is that he'll always leave things better than it was. When a problem comes up, Nick addresses them quickly in a non-defensive and customer-focused way. He points out issues/risks and provides solutions to address them as if it were his own home. Nick found multiple issues with our old home's roof and repaired them. No shortcuts were taken.The transformation of our home was huge! We had a red house before. Nick's crew installed hardie board and it came out amazing. I highly recommend Nick's crew on hardie installation - he has quite the experience and volume of hardie jobs.While I don't have pictures of the gutters, I initially didn't realize the gutters were installed. Nick and Mario were masterful in designing the gutters to maximize showing the hardie and hid the gutters well. Mario built all the gutters on-site with thick and top quality materials. Construction/Renovations in Jersey City is a challenge given the age of buildings and nuances that come with that. Bora Construction took on that challenge and more than succeeded. We have a flat roof and scheduled Bora Construction to checkout the roof because we suspected a potential leak issue with our chimney flashing.When Nick came out to checkout the job, he went right up on the roof and took a look. He found a few spots where there was water present. He gave us the various options and we went with rolling on a new layer of roof.When the crew arrived in the morning and began taking off the side flashing they discovered the there had been some water penetration from another section of the roof which had completely rotted some of the plywood.Nick quickly ran a new estimate, got the plywood and had the roof completed that day. The flashing and roof cement were applied the next day and when they left, our yard and walkways looked like they did before the work began.The crew were courteous and diligent. You couldn’t ask for better contractors. Nick and the rest of the Bora team removed a big electric fireplace from our new home, restored the original brick fireplace that was hidden behind it, added a brick hearth, and rebuilt the surrounding walls. They were incredibly professional, polite, and a general delight to work with. Nick was very communicative, explained everything they were doing, and was fast to respond to emails. They came and started working right away and were finished in no time. Their services were very reasonably priced - we feel what we got was well worth the cost, and they were clear on the budget with no surprise or hidden costs. We just installed our new roof using Bora Construction Group. My husband and I normally don't write reviews, but this time we absolutely had to! After almost 10 months of looking for the right contractor we finally found this family owned company! Starting from straight to the point/honest estimate,very professional hard working crew,surprisingly affordable price,and finishing with an amazing clean up,leaving exterior area of our house - just as it was before! We highly recommend this company to anyone that is looking to install new roof,you will not be disappointed, we guarantee it!P.S. Responsive and quality service! Had a leak in my roof and called Nick from BORA construction. He was at my property next day and was able to determine the cause (cracked sealing on one of the pipe boots). He took photos of all and recommended that they all be replaced as they could potentially leak in the future. Had a few other quotes but they were more reasonably priced-plus their professionalism was great (something you don’t get much these days :)). Scheduled and they came out the next week and completed the work in the timeframe given (had all material available and on hand-so no last minute runs to the hardware store). Nick and team helped us with a time sensitive siding issue on short notice. They were fast, efficient, responsive, and fairly-priced. Their work fixed our leak issue at a fraction of the cost some other companies proposed charging us, because they were able to diagnose the precise problem (as opposed to replacing all of our siding). We hired Bora to replace our gutters and not only was it done professionally and quickly, they did the job while we were traveling and upon our return, they took the time to come back and explain the work and how we would never have leaky gutter again. Hired Bora Construction to install a specialized under deck drainage system. I reached out to several contractors, Nick was the first to respond and even stopped by to assess the project on a Sunday, the same day I reached out. None of the other contractors had experience with this type of work - Nick knew exactly what was needed.Nick had search for the materials as supply chain issues had created shortages. He went above and beyond, finding the material, providing me with a reasonable quote and working with me on the install date.Work was completed with a high attention to detail and quality. We had a leaky window and had less than positive experiences with some other contracting firms, but thankfully Bora was able to come and do a thorough inspection on a quick turnaround and then have the work done.
