Had a roof issue…Mike was here the next day. Ended up needing a new roof as ceiling inside was leaking. Job was scheduled out about a month. Out of nowhere, insurance company demanded new roof and other repairs be done within 30 days on newly purchased home. Stressed out, I called Mike Rank Roofing and explained the situation to Mike. He came right over, priced me out and put me on schedule. Mike and crew showed up on time and did a perfect job. They were extremely organized, very helpful, professional and dependable. Insurance company saw pictures of Mike's work and approved on spot. Stress over. Thanks Mike!

There is no one other than Mike Rank that I would refer any roofing jobs to. He does everything from a simple repair to a whole new roof. He has done repairs for my husband and I. We were extremely grateful for his attention to the small repair job we needed after a storm. When it came time that my dad needed a new roof, I put him in touch with no one other than Mike. When I had roof damage from improperly installed solar panels, I called Mike. I explained that I was having my panels removed from a 3rd party company and that I had existing damage that needed repairs to prevent further water damage. He said to give him a heads up when my system was removed and he’d be there the next week. True to his word, his guys showed up first thing in the am and worked all day after stripping my old roof down to bare plywood, replacing some of the damaged plywood and replacing it with a brand new roof! Noting but professionalism, hard work and he takes care of first responders and present and past military personnel! While he was there and since he had the material, he fixed my leak. Mike refused payment and instead said I could make a donation to the Popcorn Zoo which I gladly did. I can not say enough good things about Mike and his team . I was having a on going issue with my roof and had a couple other roofers over to no avail . Mike is a total gentleman and makes you feel appreciated and at ease that he will help find the problem and repair it . He was recommended through a Facebook community page my wife is on by many many people, so happens he put a roof on a friend of mines house earlier this year . We have used M. Rank Roofing 4 times. On our old house pre-Sandy he installed a new roof right before Sandy wrecked the house. He did everything he said he would do, professionally and on time. He and his men did not leave so much as a nail in the yard when they left. You could not tell they had ever been there.We built a new house after Sandy and the builder did not do a good job on the roof. 4 years later shingles came off. Mike sent someone to replace the missing shingles. It was such a small job, but Mike didn't care.Last year a vent cap lost one of its blades, either due to seagulls who loved to sit on top of it or maybe wind. Another small job.Mike sent someone to use some industrial glue to reattach it so we did not have to replace it.This year, after 30 seagulls launched themselves off the roof at me when I came out on the 2nd floor deck, Mike sent someone to install bird guard spikes on the roof, and without my asking the gentleman who came also put them on that same vent cap to keep the birds off of it. Again, no muss, no mess, no fuss.Also, Mike is a good human. He's honorable in a time when so many contractors cheat and cut corners and do inferior work to fool unsuspecting homeowners. I am finding that now as we attempt to replace our siding. I wish Mike did siding!You can trust him to do what he says. Incredible company. Picked up our phone call immediately regarding the wind damage that we sustained. They made arrangements to fit us into their busy schedule and they repaired the damaged roof. When I went to pay them for their service he refused to accept it and instead said it was a reasonably easy repair and that in lieu of paying them he asked us if we didn't mind making a donation to the Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Lacy. Needless to say we made the donation. I assured him that we would certainly use him when inevitable roof repairs were needed. Professional, Honest local business. Mike came out to look at a leak at my mom's house. He came back and repaired it the next day.He would not take payment for work he had done. My mother tried to insist payment and Mike asked for her to make a donation to one of our local animal shelter's. She immediately did so! There honestly are not many contractors out there like Mike Rank roofing.

We had a few loose shingles at our house on LBI. Mike was referred to us so we called him. He came out the next day, we weren’t home, he told us he would take a look and call us. Mike called back in an hour, told us he got up on the ladder, fixed the three loose shingles and caulked an area that looked concerning. When we inquired as to the cost Mike told us to just donate to the local zoo. I said “ are you sure”. He said, “ yup, it’s all good, small jobs lead to big jobs”. He is right, when we need a new roof I know who I am calling and certainly know who I always refer.

I received a referral to M. Rank Roofing from some neighbors that had used him in the past. From these referrals, I was (and am) certain that he could fix the roof problems. However, his distinct lack of professionalism in our final interaction makes me happy he terminated our relationship before he provided an estimate.First, his initial time frame to provide an inspection was the end of the week. I told him at the time that there was no one at the house, and he assured me he would not need to go into the house--and in fairness, for his initial inspection, he didn't. After not hearing from him by the end of the week, I figured the long holiday weekend caused him to delay into the early part of the following week. Not a problem.On Monday morning, I sent him a text asking for the status. He replied late Tuesday that he would be there Wednesday morning. Also not a problem.At about 9:05, Wednesday, I receive a phone call from him at a moment when I was on a work call and could not pick up. He leaves a voice mail stating that he was at the house, but needed to know what he was looking at. At 9:10, I send him a text, apologizing for not being able to pick up the phone, and direct him to a neighbor, providing the neighbor's name and house number. I receive no further contact from him and call him back at 9:20. At this point, he tells me that he is no longer at the house and didn't want to go knocking on the doors of all of the neighbors trying to figure out who it was he needed to speak to--despite actually being provided with the name and house number of the neighbor who could help.I would be lying if I said that there wasn't tension between me and Mike as the short conversation continued. Annoyed, I finally say that he should have called me before he arrived at the house and we could've avoided this problem. He then tells me he is not going to go back and hangs up on me.Needless to say, I'm very disappointed in this. Hoping now to find a superior alternative.
