I would highly recommend Great White Mechanical for your heating, air conditioning, hot water service. Today my hot water tank had a pipe that started to leak. The technician, Joel, showed up on time, was extremely polite and professional. He fixed the problem in a timely manner and the cost was fair. When I bought my house, 14 years ago, Dillon installed my furnace, hot water heater, and central-air conditioning! When the inspector came to do the inspection, he commented what a great job was done! I always know I can count on Great White Mechanical!

I’ve been using Great White going on 12 years now for my Air Conditioning systems. My Boiler just blew and flooded half of my basement. I got 3 quotes from reputable companies, them being the 3rdThey were the only company not trying to over-sell me on things I didn’t need. They gave me 3-different efficiency options with no pressure, only advising me on what they would do if it were their home. They showed up on time, were very neat and did a great job. A company with soul and compassion, once they found out that my steam heat boiler went dead and I have a 3 year old living in my house, it took them literarily a few hours to get a new boiler, line up a large crew of the best professionals and finished the job. Referred by my neighbor, who's been using them for ages. We had 2 AC companies out to find a refrigerant leak with no luck. We called and spoke to Larry, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Later that day, he sent Billy over and he dis-assembled our equipment - within 30 minutes Billy located our refrigerant leak and was able to repair it. Great White installed 3 brand new Trane air conditioning units for us for well over $20,000 ($24k or so). The units were not working right from the beginning, but we just thought They didn’t cool, but over time it progressively got worse. They replaced the thermostat (at our cost). After a year, the units no longer cooled at all. They came out two times and each time claimed to “fix” the units. Unfortunately they were not fixed. They also wanted to charge us for the “repairs.” They said the units were past warranty for labor, despite them having problems so quickly. It is so awful to spend $24k for brand new units only to have them not perform. For Great White not to stand behind their installation is inexcusable. I have tried to request support from Trane. Trane has asked me for documentation of their visits via invoices, etc, but Great White so far has been unwilling to provide it until “I pay the single outstanding invoice.” I told them I wouldn’t pay because they haven’t fixed it. What an awful company. Avoid at all costs unless you want to throw money down the drain. When I talked to Larry on the phone, he told me I had a personality disorder. Classy. He refused to put me in touch with any owner of the business. We recently purchased our home and had issues with the HVAC systems in place. After dealing with 3 other companies in the area who just kept refilling the Freon and telling me they were able to fix the “leak” only for the systems to fail during a heat wave in August yet again. I called Great White and they explained to me in detail why the previous actions taken were just band aids and not going to fix my issue. They were able to get the system up and running and instead of dumping more money into a failing system we worked on a few pricing options to ultimately replace the aging units. Dylan and his tech were very professional, timely and reasonable. Dylan, the owner, and his entire crew were very professional, showed up on time, and cleaned up after themselves.A special shout out to Bill and Wilmer. Dylan - you owe them lunch.Today is the first day of use and it is not hot outside, so I really can't speak to the systems' performance in hot weather, but I am not expecting any problems.

We're located in an office building and when we moved in we last year knew it was just a question of time before the HVAC would give out. Great White didn't push, they said to maintain for a year and see how the system worked out. They maintained it for us and kept it going until the repairs weren't worth it anymore and they suggested we replace it, rather than continue to throw money at an old system that would need to be replaced soon anyway.Though times are tough to get equipment, Great White was able to get us new equipment and replace our old system and install it on budget and in a reasonable amount of time. They also balanced the problem we had with temperature variances, by adding a zone. Now everyone is comfortable and the temperature throughout the office is stable.What Great White says in their quote, is what Great White does!!Very happy with their services.Services: Installation, Heating system installation, Install AC

I've had a real struggle with contractors lately. Seems like everyone I call can't return my call and when they finally do the work I get is complete garbage done by someone who can barely communicate with me. Great white, not the case. I had them troubleshoot a broken AC. It took a while to get on their calendar but it was right as summer was kicking off and they're obviously in high demand, as they should be. They did excellent work at a fair price. These days you have to call a few contractors for any given job just to make sure you're not getting screwed but great white will get my first call from now on.

When my family purchased a 100 year old home in Wyckoff they inherited two fifteen year old heating and cooling systems that have been on their last legs for the past couple years. Every single time they break we dial up Dylan and crew over at great white mechanical. They always have affordable options to keep us going. Just recently we gave up and had them replace our entire heating system because it was definitely time.. We were quoted on a Friday night, and on Saturday morning Dylan and crew Installed the entire system (while it was snowing). It is quieter, more efficient and costs less to run. They did this all in one shot, no recalls, nothing, it was perfect. If you live around me in ridgewood, wyckoff, franklin lakes etc... GIVE THESE GUYS A CALL. I'll have the do my central air this summer when that inevitably fails.

After getting off the afternoon plane from Europe, there was no heat in the house and they came for an estimate in an hour. The problem was repaired the next morning. They permitted us to purchase equipment during supply chain problems, brought it to store in the basement, and returned 6 months later to install a new heating and air-conditioning system. The team at Great White is the best. I recently had my furnace replaced by Great White. I was in a big jam the furnace broke and the temperature was dipping below freezing for several days. I called Great White and they immediately sent out a technician that night to assess the heating system, I needed a new furnace. I received a fair quote that night and was scheduled for next day installation. The Great White team was at my home the next morning and by noon the furnace was installed and running, heating my home on a well below freezing day keeping my wife and kids warm on the coldest days so far this year 2020. The team was professional, courteous, neat, clean and abided by all COVID protocols. It was like they were never there except for the new furnace and warm comfortable home for my family. 2 years ago I bought a Tran air conditioner from great white mechanical in 2021 I called to have my air conditioner serviced and the last minute I was told that there was an emergency and great mechanical never called me back. Last week I noticed that the air conditioner was working correctly the air stayed at 78, even though the temp. Was set at 71. I called Tran and they sent an Tran representative to check out the issue. Because the freon was low more was added.Last nite 8/12/2022 the air conditioner was making noise. The trans rep came out told me that there was a hole in the coil, with a black circle around the hole and a b Sticker was put on next to the hole! I called white mechanical to speak to Dennis and was told that he was at a meeting. When I threatened that to write a negative review. Miraculously Dennis called me back. To make a long story short I was told that the air condition are put through a pressure test. The issue should have been discovered then! Dennis did not offer to have someone come over! Trans is sending a new coil to me, and the labor will be covered by trans as well! I’m very dissatisfied withe come and their service!
