This review is way overdue since it’s been almost 2 years after completion of our house expansion/renovation in Clark. Almost 2 years in and everything is great. We were very lucky to come across JAG.We worked with Glenn for majority of our project and with Jay closer to the finish line. They’re top notch. We call them ‘contractors with class.’They’re always there for you either in person or phone/texts. They know how to read/measure architectural plans well. If something doesn’t seem right they will advise you. For example Glenn thought that our kitchen window should not be double hung but casement. I am forever grateful for that. I love my kitchen window and I can actually reach to open it.(When you’re negotiating your contract put as much detail as possible in it so that you have all work covered. If it’s in the contract it will be done.)They stick to the agreed price but if you’d like to add on they will work with you and charge you fairly. We were very impressed how well orchestrated and organized their work is. How skilled all of their trades are.It was a big project but everyone worked in sync and provided quality outcome. But as a client you also have to remember that they are busy. They’re managing other jobs so you have to be on top of your project. You also need to be diligent and communicate with them. No one is perfect and any construction is hectic, but if you tell them that something needs adjusting they will address it without hesitation. They are honest people.

Why 1 star? Well Jay from Jag renovated my home 2 years ago. I'm still having issues from their terrible quality and lack of ownership for work done incorrectly. Jay forgot my AC duct completely, after final payment my wife noticed there was a duct just sitting open in the attic (pics attached).Since I'm now here thanks to Jays business acumen, let me tell you about when they hit my fence with their truck knocking the post down and left without telling me.I had delays because they didn't order the right windows for our bathrooms. I had them install a single door that was meant to be two and keep a straight face as they act confused why I don't want a door that's nearly 4 feet wide? After providing measurements and sending us to his preferred bathroom and tile store. Nothing that was ordered for in our bathroom. Jays solution? Rip the framing off and turn a $400 mirror into a $100 mirror from Home Depot. Same for the sink and backsplash.Jay also did our siding replacing cedar shake with vinyl cedar shake, they had bid ton remove the old shingles and tyvec before new siding. Instead I get home from work and Jay tells me I get a couple bucks back but doesn't acknowledge he didn't do what he bid to do.While all of these renovations were going on I was also having concrete work done in my backyard and basement. Jay quoted a column for my garages eve that hangs over the driveway. He never did it, wouldn't even answer our emails.Working with Jag will cause nothing but stress and anxiety as they oscillate between ignoring your follow ups or outright lying 🤥Run to anyone else.

I waited years to write this review to make sure the renovations held up... and they have been great. JAG did our significant renovation under budget and on time, even stopping for a week at our request to let us have a family gathering.Renovations are complicated - if something came up unexpectedly, Jay was extremely communicative and solution-oriented, and had things worked out for us quickly.

If you're looking to work with a general contractor so that you don't have to coordinate a variety of subcontractors yourself or personally babysit the work being done to be sure it's done correctly, this is not the place to go.The subcontractors are hit or miss, some were fine and did quality work, but others were nonresponsive and behaved unprofessionally, and cut corners if there was no one around to call them on it. All subcontractors were off the list provided by JAG. We had several issues where there was seemingly no coordination between JAG and the subcontractors, because finishings that arrived on site were not the correct fit for the space, or materials arrived that were not what was outlined in the contract. In some instances, we received finishings with quality control issues (ex: doors that were not properly sealed on all outer edges, leading to peeling and moisture damage) that went unnoticed, and they were installed anyway, and we were left to work with the subcontractor ourselves to get it resolved. All of this made the process far more stressful than it needed to be.We also had an incident where workers blew out the battery backup that we used to protect our internet equipment by using it to plug in power tools, rather than plugging them into an appropriate wall socket. When it overloaded, it damaged electronics that were plugged into it, and triggered an alarm on the device that I had to go shut off. At the time, I was in a cast and using crutches but had to climb a set of stairs to go deal with it because the workers did not know what to do and there was no one else supervising.Renovations are stressful enough, I wouldn't recommend adding to your stress by working with JAG.

Glenn and Jay and crew did an amazing job on our significant renovation. It was a large job and they were in and out in 6 months with quality work. It was a pleasure to work with themService: Home renovations

I just finished a big renovation project with them. JAG renovated my whole house and couldn't be happier with the results.Out of all the contractors that my wife and I reached out to for this project, JAG was the only one which really did its homework, so we felt confident that we were dealing with a serious contractor and we were not wrong on that assumption. We worked directly with Glenn and he made the whole process a less stressful experience, we also made sure to stay at least one step ahead to prevent roadblocks down the line, so whenever we were asked for a decision or to get something we were on par.All the different trades involved did an awesome job (painter, plumber, electrician, HVAC, flooring, framing, tile, trimming, insulation, sheetrock, etc.) and Glenn made sure there was a smooth transition so we could accomplish all the milestones in a timely manner. Sometimes, i noticed how his home crew stepped in to accelerate the project without compromising quality. Hernan was such a nice guy to work with, he answered all our questions and was open to feedback when we didn't like something and/or wanted to make some adjustment. On the final day of the project, Glenn made sure to check each one of the last items in our punch list and his home crew did an amazing job, Hernan and Gabriel really paid close attention to all the little details and treated my house and if it was theirs. I have never seen such dedication nor level of professionalism.Should we take on another project they will be the ones we call. There is a good reason why they are doing multiple projects in the area.

I had a great experience with JAG on a significant home renovation. Jay and Glenn were involved every single step of the way, completed the job on time and within budget. Most importantly, their employees/subcontractors are very respectful and professional. Very happy with the finished product and would happily recommend them to anyone considering a home renovation. Should we take on another project, they will be our first call.

Why one star review? Glenn gave me the preliminary quote 45% higher than other contractor gave me. So, I gave the job to another GC. Why ONE Star! I was at job site today when Glenn was passing by. He stopped by and asked who I gave job to. I didn’t want to tell who I gave it to so I said I’m doing it myself. He was like “I could give you keys in 3 month, you will be doing it for 9 month, good luck”. I’ve heard Jay is better though. Thera is a ton local contractors. Shop!

We had a great experience with Glenn and JAG for our home renovation. Glenn and his crew stayed on schedule and were always available to discuss any issues or questions. We met with several contractors prior to deciding on JAG. Of all of the ones we met, Glenn was the most thorough and seemed the most invested in the project without having any commitment. Glenn is honest and upfront. At no point in this process did we feel hoodwinked or lied to or blindsided. They provided us with the most thorough estimate and I met all of his subcontractors before the project was signed. His proposal was thorough and he took the time to meet with my wife and me to go over everything. If there was additional cost involved in something we wanted he told us. In some instances he talked us out of things that would add cost that he didn't think we needed and he was always right. Just don't ask him to do pocket doors...he hates pocket doors. ;)Another important aspect of this job was that Glenn's subcontractors are all excellent. They are professional, polite, and excellent at what they do. The same can be said for his guys that work for him. We have been very happy with everyone that has been on the job. Both Glenn and ALL of his subs are responsive to our questions and always get back to us quickly, They never "disappear." Another important aspect of using JAG is that Glenn is always present. He comes to the job almost everyday especially when there is significant stuff going on. If something develops he comes right over. He is aware of EVERYTHING going on and it is important that he is informed of anything that comes up from your end.We would use JAG again in a heartbeat. Granted, renovations are very difficult. They are exhausting, costly and often frustrating but using Glenn saved us a lot of other potential aggravation and frustration.

Had an appointment for 6:30pm this evening and no one showed. Typical contractor stuff unfortunately. I called the phone number listed and the office told me they would investigate the matter and call me back. When no one called me after 15 more minutes I called back again to find out the status of my now very late appointment. The new gentlemen over the phone had now said the office is now closed and I have now reached the answering service. Super frustrating. It is now 30 mins after our appointment time and the contractor I think Glenn showed up giving me an attitude about how my appointment was at 7:00 it surly was not my husband came home from work early to have this appointment. When I turned him away at the door he was snotty and was talking under his breath about us as he peeled off down the street. You only get a first impression once and this was not a good one for sure.

One of their trucks was driving 40 mph on the parkway and cut across 3 lanes of traffic almost causing an accident. They were cutting across to get into the express lanes as well which means they completely unnecessarily almost caused an accident.

These guys are amazing. The crews clean up every day, the work is great and they are competitively priced.
