I cant say enough good things about these guys and how Ahmed (Ed) took care of us following storm damage from a tornado. Ed was attentive throughout the entire process and with every left and right fiasco we were dealing on top of the storm damage with issues caused by a terrible solar company. They help maximize what we got from insurance to really re-do our entire exterior at minimum costs to us. They've helped make our forever home our true dream home when an unforeseen disaster sped up the timeline we had to do everything. Things too a lot longer on the porch than likely needed, but it came out beautiful!

I recently had my 60+yr. old kitchen renovated, which included gutting the entire kitchen down to the bare walls initially as part of the entire process.Tony Martin and his team did an outstanding job. Tony and AJ, his project manager, came out initially and scoped the job in detail, gave suggestions, then provided a comprehensive proposal which laid out everything in detail. The price was reasonable but more importantly, I trusted them to do the job correctly. AW Martin has done a lot of work for the Arc Mercer, of which I am a Board member, and have seen their remodeling work first hand for group homes that were renovated to ultimately house special needs individuals. I knew that I could trust Tony and his team to do the job correctly and professionally. So now I'm enjoying my new kitchen every day and wished I did it sooner! I first submitted my information to this company through their website. I received no response to that. I then called them twice to give my information. Each time I called, they told me I would hear from somebody in two to three days. I didn't receive a reply until I left a negative review.By the time I heard from someone named Ed, I already had another company out to inspect the damage in my home. I told Ed I'd get back to him if it didn't work out with that company. That company didn't get back to me for me to pay them and provide the estimates.I decided to try submitting my information for a project on Yelp. I received interest from one company. That company didn't call when they said they would, so it seemed like it was going to fall through with them. I called back Ed to set up a day and time to come out to visit.I ended up hearing from the company that I found after submitting my project to Yelp, and it seemed like they were going to come through with the estimates I needed. I called Ed back to cancel our appointment because I didn't want him wasting his time coming if this other company was going to provide the estimates.This other company wasn't calling when they said they would, getting back to me days later when I wasn't sure if I was ever going to hear from them again. I decided to call Ed to reschedule another appointment. This time he told me his boss didn't want to be involved with providing estimates if they're going to be used in a lawsuit. He referred me to another company, which didn't respond.After getting the runaround from two other companies, Ed and AW Martin got rid of me by referring me to a company that also didn't want to get involved. If a company has a problem with their estimates being used in a lawsuit, that sends up a red flag for me. It's frustrating, but I'm quickly learning how to deal with contractors. Don't tell them what you intend to use their estimates for.Fortunately, I've found a fifth company that I believe is going to provide the estimates I need. I was honest with them and told them why I needed the estimates, and they're even willing to appear in court to back up those estimates for a fee. In that case, I'm sure I can trust them, and their estimates will help me greatly with my lawsuit.

I had a negative experience with AW Martin a year ago. I wrote a scathing review earlier this week. The company then contacted me, as did the owner. I got to speak with the owner and felt my frustrations were heard. One of the points he (Tony) mentioned was that if he had known my experience, he could have corrected the issue. He informed of measures he has taken to elevate his employees so clients are not subject to frustration.While my experience was not good, I got the peace needed to move on. If you work with this company, I hope you have a good experience. If something goes awry, I recommend speaking with the owner. I didn't know Tony, if I had, my experience likely would have been different, based on how he seemed on the phone. Good luck to you, Reader with your contracting needs.

Tony Martin and his team renovated the first floor of our home because my mother was moving in with us and she couldn't use the stairs. They were able to create a beautiful functional space for all of us. We're confident we chose the right contractor and are planning to have them renovate an upstairs bathroom next year. The craftsmen who worked at our home exceeded our expectations. I want to mention Tony kept us on budget and was very professional. Chris was very responsive throughout the whole process, working with us from the first day to coordinate the insurance information and get the teams out for the work. We had a sewage leak which damaged our basement and our plumber recommended these guys. It turned into a major homeowners insurance project which involved demolishing our bathroom to access the pipe. A.W. Martin delivered in every way possible. We were guided through what would have been an overwhelming process by Ed. He was always available to answer questions and helped with anything we needed. Their onsite guys are fun to work with. They’re all experts in their craft and I enjoyed having them around. We had a leak that was discovered in our house that was caused by the drain line under the kitchen sink. AW Martin was recommended to us by a local plumber to handle everything from A to Z with the home insurance company. Ahmed Selym was the head lead and I can't say enough positive things about his professonalism, responsiveness and attention to detail. As soon as we engaged them they quickly came in and removed the granite countertops and setup a plastic barrier to contain any potential mold while they worked on the remediation effort. All of the contractors they work with are on time and extremely professional and courteous. They ensured that the home was kept clean by laying down cardboard taped to the ground where all the foot traffic was taking place. The project took several weeks as they worked behind the scenes with the home insurance company to align on the renovation costs. All and all I would highly recommend Ahmed and his team if you have any type of build repair and restoration of your home!!!

I first hired AW Martin as a recommendation from my plumber as I had water damage a few years ago. AW Martin dealt with the insurance and took care of the water damage in a timely fashion. Unbeknownst to us, a leak in a pipe behind a wall in our kitchen caused mold and damage to our kitchen and basement. Our plumber saw the problem and recommended we call A and W, and we are so glad he did! A and W came out at a moment’s notice to stop the leak and remediate all damage including the mold. They had to remove and reinstall kitchen cabinets, counter, and porcelain tile flooring. Every component of the project was completed with perfection, and every person and/or contractor they sent were professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. We have a leak in our kitchen that ruined our hardwood floors and our plumber actually was the one who recommended AW Martin. Ed the project manager came by and assessed the damage and walked me through how to open a claim through insurance (I had no clue) and set up a plan for everyone to come by the house to do the repairs. We also hired them to put in new til flooring in the upstairs bathroom and the bathroom came out looking great!A couple months after they were finished, we noticed the wood floors in the kitchen starting to buckle - I had contacted Ed but didn’t hear back so I called the office directly and left a message for Tony, the owner. I was pleasantly surprised when Tony called me back and I was able to text with him on them coming back to take a look at the floor.The best thing about AW Martin is that they guarantee their work and they stood by that promise - they pulled up the floors, sanded down the new wood and re-stained the kitchen to match the old flooring in the foyer. I highly recommend AW Martin. I hired them to take care of remediating water that I had in the basement as a result of Hurricane Ida. They visited my house as soon possible and took care of the water remediation as soon as they were able to mobilize a work team to my house. Even better, their project manager Ed and the office staff interfaced directly with my insurance company to help take the mystery out of that process.Once the water remediation was done, they also took care of rebuilding my basement. First, they came out to tell me exactly what needed to be done, including pointing out some unrelated imperfections in the basement that they could fix while getting the rest of the work done. Once the worked started, they accommodated my scheduling requests and got the job done in as timely a fashion as I could have possibly expected. And to top it off, everyone who worked on the job was such a pleasure to deal with. Once they were done, I missed seeing them!If you have a job at your house that you need done, AW Martin should be your first call.

AW Martin is a professional company. I was recommended to them by my plumber. My original contractor said that there was nothing wrong with a water leakage and gave an inaccurate report to my insurance company. AW Martin came in and made more discoveries that could have ruined my basement. Their emergency team swooped right in to stop the leakage, & mitagated the situation. They saved 99% of my basement through their swift and expert approach. Both Ed (project manager) and Christian (construction manager) are a great duo and handled everything with my insurance company. These guys were responsive, understanding and knew exactly what to do. Now I have a finished basement and can get back to a normal way of life. Thanks guys, and keep up the great work. 👏

A.W.Martin responded very quickly to my email and phone call about a sudden leak in the upstairs bathroom ceiling - in a bathroom that they remodeled beautifully for us a few years ago. Within three hours they sent a contractor to evaluate the problem and an hour later their roofer was up on our roof looking for a source of the problem there. He found issues that need remediation and promised to be back within a few days.
