Recommend against using this company. Very nice reception staff that exists to forward messages to the contractors. Some of th contractors are great (plumbing services have been great). Sadly in my experience some of the contractors don't respond for weeks at a time if at all. In my most recent job they completed half a job, left, didn't come back to complete the job after giving a planned timeline to do so, and never responded to further contact attempts. The bill, however, is always timely and complete.

HSC is totally awesome! Called late in the afternoon on Thursday for estimate on water heater replacement. Called me within 30 minutes from a plumber and were at my house within another 30 minutes. Agreed to have it done the following morning and they were there by 9am with everything they needed. Water heater and lines, fittings and such. Great technician named Stephen went above and beyond to make sure he covered all the details, extreme attention to detail. Everything was completely done in 2 hours. Great service from start to finish, thank you so much HSC.

My wife and I discovered our hot water heater was leaking Sunday night. We have a home warranty through American Home Shield and initially tried to get the repair done through them, but the plumber they contracted out couldn't make it out until Tuesday. Of course we couldn't wait another 24 hours without hot water, so I called every plumbing company in Alamogordo to see if anyone had availability to come look at it. Home Service Contractors was one of two companies that said they could come out yesterday, look at it, and replace/repair it(I never heard back from the other company). Doug was who they sent out to ultimately replace it and he did a great job. Start to finish it was about 2 hours, it was very reasonably priced, and Doug was great. This is the second time we've had to use Home Service and both times the service and quality of work has been great.

Antonio is very courteous and professional! I was very well informed of my options and decided to replace the water heater. Just took an hour for Antonio to removed the old one and installed the new unit. Excellent service!! We had our home flood and a pipe bursted in the wall at 8pm. We called HSC and they had Tommy out within the hour. He had the pipe fixed within 30 minutes. He only had to cut the wall once and found the leak the first time. Our bill was under $200 for an emergency call. Super deal. Had a water heater leaking, they did the work same day. Replaced the water heater at a very reasonable price. Had heated water in 2 hours. Super job, I called other places in town and they wanted me to wait without water for over a week before they could get to my house. I for sure recommend HSC and will use them in the future

Our Ac stoped working yesterday evening. Called HSC the following morning and with in the next two hrs they had the parts swapped and the unit was running. The tech was very professional and explained everything to us. Great company highly recommend

Had to have my entire house repiped. Dean, Tommy, and the crew did an excellent job. They were all very friendly and attentive to my questions and concerns. Took care of all of my needs. Complete drywall repair afterwards, left it looking better than when they arrived. They even laid concrete where they had to cut my front walkway. had Home Service give me a estimate on furnishings a double kitchen sink and insulation, The quote was 3 hundred for the sink and 5 hundred to install it ,that outrageous. Had other companies estimate between 150.00 to 200.00. to install Guess who I won't even call again.

Called twice for a plumbing estimate and never heard back. Apparently they do not care about customer service at all. I mentioned on the second call that I had not received a callback and she never apologized or acted like she cared. She must be a Quiet Quitter! Good to know before I hired them.This company seems to discriminate against certain people. If you notice and look at their reviews they're either five star or one star and all the one Stars are where they didn't show up and quoted crazy high prices it looks to me like they are picking and choosing who they want to serve in the community. Definitely a pattern.

Over the past couple of years, my home has unveiled occasional water leaks and other emergency plumbing situations. Through it all, these folks have always responded with haste. The technicians have always been courteous and professional. What can I say other than, no complaints here, about any of their work. Not to mention, it was my experience with the plumbing department which is the reason that I decided to hire HSC for a home repair project.HOME REPAIR PROJECTThe Construction Dept:A shout out to Stephen [I apologize if I misspelled your name]: Stephen, you have been awesome every step of the way in coordinating my project work, through the scheduling changes of a start date to its completion.For those of you reading this post, I live in a mobile home community and while I worked to schedule a project start date, road repair within the park was simultaneously planned which conflicted with my project. I was unaware of this at the time. How can HSC technicians enter and leave the job site if the roads are blocked for repair? So, I had to coordinate with Stephen to reschedule my project, more than once, which I’m sure affected other clientele.For example, the actual start date for the park’s road repair was a few days late in its commencement. Once the road repair finally began, only one person was assigned to do the work, so the project took longer to complete and this resulted in another rescheduling of my own project. Thank you Stephen for your patience, professionalism and assistance throughout my situation.The Project Work:A shout out to Antonio and TraceInteracted with these guys for a few days and they are awesome. Easy to talk to, understanding of my concerns throughout the project and not once did I sense irritation with my countless questions. Hard workers who treated my home like it was their own; Thank you for this guys, I really appreciate that mindset and many other clientele will as well.The project task required replacement of water damaged trim, removal of rotted frontal columns, removal and re-installment of drip edge and painting of the final product install. The plumbing crew if I could give more stars I would they really went above and beyond for us and I could not be happier so professional. So nice and really made me feel like they care also what a previous plumbing company in town wrecked… they fixed. Just keeps getting better and better! Called first thing Monday morning to request installation of a new hot water heater. Appointment set up by 8:15 and by 8:30 Josh was here, new equipment on the truck and he proceeded with installation. He explained problems with current equipment and what would need to be replaced. He was cordial, courteous and did an excellent job. Their service is A1 and pricing very reasonable. Thank you so much. I called to get a quote on installation of a water heater, not only were they hundreds of dollars cheaper than anyone in town they also came out the same day. I called around noon time and a couple hours later they showed up and got right to work. They even picked up my new water heater from Lowe’s! HSC has always been good when doing services for when I was renting. With this being said I wanted to use them when I bought my own house to get a quote for refrigerated air. I have had 2 appointments setup with them just to get the quote and both times they have been a no call no show.

I have been told this is the best business in town, however, it's been a week and a half since I've called them twice and still cannot get an estimate for the plumbing work I need. My master bath is halfway demoed I have cash in hand but they don't seem to want my business. I guess it's time to spend the extra money and pay for somebody to come in from out of town, which is what I'm getting used to doing just to get work done here. I think this is very unfortunate, I have always been one to spend my money locally and support local business.

Followed through with their word and came out uncontacted to finish some stuff from a previous job. They knocked a piece of my back wall a bit and were there the next day to fix it. The owner actually came out to help fix that problem. I will be calling them with any problem I have that I can’t figure out myself.

Had HSC replace water lines from the curb to every faucet to include follow on repair of HVAC venting within the ceiling. All levels of staffing were professional and extremely courteous with the job being completed on time and in budget. If there's an improvement area its communication from both HSC and the home owner. Home owners, be very specific in what you wish to have completed during the quote period so as not to cause a stress moment for HSC in scheduling and supporting the next customer. HSC, don't be shy in communicating with the homeowner any stresses you're experiencing regarding any unknown modifications to the contract to ensure the home owner is aware, when they might not have the situational awareness of the challenge you're experiencing. It is a dating moment with both wanting a longer relationship. HSC continues to be the sole company I rely on in Otero County to support my HVAC and plumbing needs. Can't speak on their work. I called Friday morning to see if I could get a plumbing inspection for a house I was buying. The phone rep was friendly and took my info. She said she would pass my info to a plumber and he would give me a call back... Never got a call. Called again 8am Monday morning to follow up, again was told the plumber was out, but he'll call me back. Waited till about noon, still no call. So I contacted another company and got the inspection scheduled that day. Again, HSC may do great work, and they may have been very backed up on work at the time... But if you tell me your going to call me and don't (even if it's just to explain that you're really busy), then I can only assume your not interested in my business.

I used to be a big fan of Hsc and always used them. Back in the middle of summer this year I called them for estimates to replace a Refrigerated u it at my house and to get another quote for my rental unit as well. The guy came out but never got me my estimates. After calling them several times to get the estimates as several months later I gave up on them. I’m completely disappointed with them.

I mistakenly called HSC while fryung to contact my warranty company about a broken water heater. A tech showed up and turned the water off to the heater at no charge while I waited for the warranty company to contact us. J was extremely impressed by that. From now on any non warranty work I need in this house, they will get my business
