Before hiring R&A Custom Decks we had received five separate estimates from other contractors.Our prior deck was bilevel and we’re were looking to make it all one level. Half the the prior contractors said it could be done the other half said it could not be done. None of the other contractors took the time to measure. On the recommendation of a friend we contacted R&A.Robin came by and we discussed what we would like to do. He felt that the deck could be all one level but to be sure he would come back with level’s to be sure. After he measured and told us it could be done we hired them. Our 100 SQ foot old deck was removed and replaced in5 days. New footings were installed.The deck looks beautiful. The workers were great and they did a great job removing the old deckRobin was so easy to work with. I highly recommend R&A Custom Decks

This company was amazing!! Rob had a great crew that cleaned up after themselves and left my backyard spotless. Any issue I had they would fix right away without any issues whatsoever. What a delightful and wonderful experience. Robin and his entire crew were very professional, polite and punctual! We have done lots of work to our home over the years and this was one of the smoothest and best jobs we’ve ever had.Our deck was in need of some reconstruction. We contacted several companies to quote our needs. Robin gave us a fair price and we contracted to have the work done. His crew was amazing. Such professional behavior is rarely seen. Each member of the team worked diligently and only settled for perfection. Beautiful job! We were very satisfied with the workmanship.We asked Robin if they would return in the spring to Arborcoat stain our deck. His quote included cleaning, light sanding and general prep prior to application. Again, there was clear communication as to when his crew would arrive …. date & time. They worked diligently all day applying the Arborcoat, being fully aware that it needed 48 hrs to dry properly. They completed the job by sunset!We can give this company our full endorsement. When the time came to replace a forty year old pressure treated deck, I wanted something that was beautiful and as durable as the one that had served our family well for many of those years. I had met Robin from R &A Custom Decks while he was completing a project at my neighbors house from whom he was highly recommended. Robin listened to my requests and designed a plan to fit my budget and my vision. It didn't take long to realize that I had made the right decision. While working from a few drawings and photographs, his team's results had turned out better than I had anticipated. As soon as we met Robin we were very impressed with his presence and knowledge of deck building. He had many wonderful ideas. The best way to find a contractor for any project is through a referral.My neighbor Eddie had only good things to say about R&A Custom Decks.They had passed the test,Eddie was satisfied ( his patio pavers look great) then I was sure it was so.I met with Robin, the owner of the company who arrived promptly to estimate my project. Very professional, he took measurements and asked about my ideas for the construction. I had showed him some pictures that I wanted to include in my design that also had a complex diagonal pattern.The build was started as promised and completed on schedule even with the difficult process of leveling and squaring the existing structure encompassing a giant oak tree. Highly recommended! I had an excellent experience working with R&A. I reached out to Rob to replace old, rotting wooden columns and pergola, and to install patio and stair railings. He was very responsive whenever I had questions and gave me options with regard to material and pricing. He also offered great, professional advice with regard to the project, and was honest. Pricing was fair and direct, timeline for completion of project was accurate, he and his guys catered to exactly what I wanted, and the result was awesome. After reaching out to 10+ providers I eventually went with R&A Custom for my deck build which I’m very happy about. Not only did I find a lot of positive reviews across various platform, they are also active on facebook which allowed me to see the large portfolio of work they had done in the past. Robin’s price wasn’t the cheapest but he left me with the best impression.Robin was very polite and courteous, also unlike some other providers, Robin was responsive both via email and text throughout the entire time even when I was just price shopping and gave me a detailed contract with all the type of materials he will be using. Rob did a fantastic job installing a new deck in our waterfront home. And he also did various outdoor repairs on my roof and other exterior areas as well .
