What a difference already in our home! Dealing with allergies in the house? Healthy home did an evaluation and made some really great recommendations based on the air quality testing. Immediately we noticed a difference. The house is getting a continuous supply now of fresh outdoor air without losing the heating or cooling. And the house smells as fresh as outdoors. The energy rebates they helped us obtain from the government really helped keep the cost lower and it’s so worth it. The equipment is user friendly and is one of the best investments we have made!

I learned so much just through the initial consultation. Adam was our team lead and he was very thoughtful with the project. I called Healthy Home Energy & Consulting for an evaluation of our home. Diana was very pleasant to work with as she scheduled our appointment and sent the questionnaire required prior to our appointment. Hayden Carnaghi came to our home with Dylan and they completed a test to check the indoor air quality and air leakage by using infrared thermal imaging. Hayden came back to our home to review results and provide his recommendations. He was excellent and very professional and knowledgeable with excellent follow-up skills. We were left with a detailed binder with their findings. We decided to move forward with the project and worked with Lexi to get all the paperwork completed and the team onsite. She also filed for the NYSERDA incentives which was a great timesaver. We completed the attic insulation, whole house air sealing, garage ceiling, duct sealing and a wall for sound attenuation. The team was excellent and worked very well together. They all had their knowledge and skill set which complemented one another. On the first day, Julio reviewed the project with us and answered all questions. Dylan who was in attendance during the evaluation was one of the team members and was excellent with any questions we had. They were very neat and covered items as needed. I am pleased to say that our home is much more comfortable and the project was definitely worth it! Thank you to all who worked on our home project!

Our experience with Healthy Home was excellent from start to finish, and we highly recommend them to anyone with home heating/cooling needs. Healthy Home's people are great, their prices are fair, and their work is high quality and very effective.At the beginning of the process, we worked with the sales and support teams. Our contacts, Hayden and Lexi, were very friendly and knowledgeable, and took time to help us understand the process and the options available for resolving our issues. Once we made the decision to proceed with Healthy Home, Hayden and Lexi handled the entire upfront process, including getting the building permit. They also assisted with obtaining rebates from New York State and ConEd, which reduced our project's cost by thousands of dollars. The rebates we received from both programs were applied as reductions to the total/upfront project cost, so we didn’t have to wait to receive rebate checks after the project was completed.Our experience with the crew was just as good. Adam and the team were friendly and professional, and they arrived and finished on schedule. They took time at the beginning to discuss the project to make sure they addressed all of our problem/uninsulated areas, and they also protected our home (blinds, floors, utility equipment, etc.) in the work areas, especially where spray foam was applied. Adam also kept me updated on the project during the day, and even called me to discuss a solution for a minor issue that wasn’t anticipated.After the work was completed, we immediately noticed an improvement in the comfort of our home. The areas that were very cold previously are now comfortable. Our home is over 90 years old, and the air leakage level prior to the project was more than 100% higher than the accepted standard. During the job, the team discovered an opening in a sealed attic that was contributing to the air leakage, so they addressed that as part of the project. Adam and his team were able to eliminate approximately 90% of the excess air leakage, which was much higher than expected. As a result, our house is more comfortable, and we expect that it will be more comfortable in the summer as well. In addition, our electricity and natural gas usage, and therefore our energy bills, should all decline, especially in peak heating and cooling seasons.We’re very happy with the results of our project, and the people at Healthy Home made the entire process very easy. Used this company few year ago 2016, they did ok job. My biggest frustration regarding their “perimeter air sealing solution “, I wish I never did it. What they did , just applied silicon all around perimeter in a house . Later that year my floors/wall looked horrible, unfortunately I can not scrub silicon from hardwood floors. So I have sealed dusty ugly perimeter .I Can not really explain that , but I wish I never signed for that job. On a photos you see clean floors with sealed dust!And one more thing what really surprised me, I had to replace my oven recently and installer could not believe that oven was glued . they seal my oven in a kitchen, so I had difficulties replace it, because we have to pull oven, that destroyed my kitchen cabinets. Not acceptable

Our entire experience from start to finish was extraordinarily educational! We learned so much about Arhaus, and how to improve our energy savings. Our installation team, and Adam, our team, leader, extremely professional. Performed a walkthrough every day at start and end of the day to review plans, adjustments and answer our questions. The team was extremely respectful of our home, took great care to cover and protect walls and floors. We felt very comfortable leaving them in our home while we went to work. Our scores for air leakage were reduced 50% at project completion and we are very much looking forward to see our energy savings in our upcoming bills.

We are very happy with the thoroughness of the work and professionalism of the team, lead by Mario and Matthew. The cost will definitely be recovered in energy savings over time and when we sell the home due to its Silver Pearl high performance home rating and 47% reduction in air leakage (beyond their original estimate). We feel better about not having to burn so many fossil fuels which exacerbate climate change. Next up: geothermal!

I can't speak highly enough of Healthy Home. Everything was just right: the expertise, the coordination of a complex project, the collaboration with me as the person who'll live with their work for years and years to come, the professionalism, the ultimate quality of what they did — all of it was better than I would have thought possible. I've already recommended them to three people, and I'm sure that won't be the end of it.I used them for home sealing and insulation, installation of an air-source heat pump system for heating and cooling, decommissioning and removal of my old boiler, and installation of a heat-pump water heater. The work was completed on time exactly as described. The work team lead by Mario was professional, courteous, and clean. The company helped me obtain tax incentives for the work, presented me with certification of completion at the end, documentation of capital improvement, and the Pearl Certification for reference in the future. The house is not an old house, 20 years old, and had design flaws which caused excessive loss of energy ever since I purchased it 6 years ago. Healthy Home absolutely exceeded our expectations. They showed up and did a thorough analysis, and presented it in comprehensive report connecting findings to recommendations, so everything was fully attributed, without a hard sell. The work crew showed up and truly impressed us with how thorough and communicative they were. I’ve never had contractors come back quickly to fix anything afterwards before, and they did.During the recent days this spring when the northeast was blanketed with unprecedented wildfire smoke for days, you couldn’t tell at all inside my house because it had been fully enveloped. What incredible luck to have completed this work shortly before the air quality issues began.Six months later and I’m incredibly glad we did the entire list of recommendations. I saw an immediate decrease of 1/3 in our ConEdison bill the months after their work completed, and the work also qualified the house for Pearl Certification, which will (eventually) increase the sale price of the house.Healthy Home’s work speaks for itself, and I would absolutely recommend working with them.

We engaged HHE&C as a component of a complete HVAC overhaul for our 97-year old house this summer. We had an extensive give and take with them regarding the best approach to insulating/sealing our home. Hayden Carnaghi worked incredibly hard to answer our questions and challenges as we worked through modifying the proposal to reach a plan that worked for our house, our lifestyle, and our calendar. This culminated with a professional, capable and polite 4-person crew conducting the sealing/insulating steps throughout the house. They arrived on time and continued a few hours past the original plan to complete everything to our satisfaction. All was left in good order; and the blower-door before and after testing showed that they surpassed the agreed target for improvement. We're pleased that the plan included components that would trigger utility/government rebates such that HHE&C filed for and collected them, thereby billing us only for the balance. Hence we feel that a lot was done for a very reasonable price, on top of the hiqh-quality engagement to customize a plan for us. The "deal" will change as the incentives change but we feel comfortable recommending this contractor if you're looking at optimizing or improving your energy efficiency.
