Giving 518 Concrete 1 Star Review: I hired 518 concrete for a front walkway, back patio and bar.Pros:• Initial good impression in the Winter before his season started and when contract was laid out. Was polite and friendly and shared high expectations. Walked through my vision with me and provided a decent quote.• Did a good job on the hardscaping and bar countertop.• Handled last min. changes appropriately on project (cost extra $).Cons:• Patio and walkway are not finished.• Front walkway has a huge crack. He said he would fix it.• After the concrete was cured, 28 days, he cut relief lines and got concrete dust EVERYWHERE. I had to pay someone to come clean up the concrete dust that was left EVERYWHERE.• Left a huge mess of my property and yard. Concrete all over my white vinyl fencing. Rocks/Concrete all over my yard. Slump pile concrete all over yard. Told me he would come rake out, backfill and seed the yard, He did not. Spit chewing tobacco all over my property when working.• Used my personal garbage can and poured waste concrete in it, along with other items. Left the garbage can for us to not only dispose of which was very heavy, but also had to be replaced because it was not able to be used again after there was dried concrete in it.• Stamped concrete has uneven color or sealant that has bubbled up and again, looks messy and unfinished, or thought through.• Did not finish the job. Said he would be back, and never showed up, stopped communicating.• Is not fine tuned with small details of the work, and applied very messy, wrong colored caulk up against stone, didn't glue down or secure block caps and overall many flaws in the stamped concrete.• Became extremely flakey not showing up when he said he would and stopped communicating.• Mismeasured the circle step onto the patio, too small for space, again no communication.• We paid extra money for extra block due to changes, he did not use all the block and took the block. I asked him not to take the block, and that I would use it for my garden, and he still took the block that I paid extra  for.• Communication turned very different from initial greetings. He apologized for the way he acted and blamed stress of the job.• When I mentioned he had a contract to uphold he said "Do you think I care about a contract?"Overall I would NOT recommend 518 Concrete due to the overall unprofessional nature things turned into, the unfinished job, the mess that was left for me to clean up and fix. His work is not as good as he promised. There are some great aspects of the job, but it's far from perfect or professional. Unless you want a rushed and unfinished, messy outcome, with a headache.I plan to bring this contractor to court to recoop the costs I had to pay to fix his mistakes,

Contacted 518 Concrete to rebuild a stone wall that was damaged by a tractor trailer. Communication was great, work was completed promptly and properly. Completely satisfied with this contractor. Highly recommend 518 Concrete.

518 Concrete was a huge disappointment. I hired them for a concrete job and the owner Chad was absolutely awful to work with and deal with. I should have known better than to give money upfront for a job that he would not come back to complete. He poured the concrete and the walkway was not compacted enough so it cracked within the first week. He promised to come back and fix it and he blocked me. I am now in a situation where I have to have someone else come fix it because it is so bad. It looks absolutely awful. Do not hire this company.

Chad and his crew are nearing completion of a complicated major job for my organization. I interviewed several concrete contractors prior to hiring Chad. Their lack of responsiveness and over promising was amazing. Chad is unique. I called him on a Saturday afternoon in the summer and he called back in about an hour. He knows what he is doing, is experienced and a wonderful communicator. He explains anything I need to know. The site is cleaned up daily. So far I am very pleased and impressed and highly recommend him.

Chad was here to do the estimate as promised and now I have a beautiful new sidewalk. Easy to deal with, quick and efficient. They did not waste time. Clean up done as well afterward. Just have to wait for my grass to grow back in at the edges of the sidewalk.

I hired 518 to pour a couple of patio slabs and widen the 28 inch sidewalk to my porch. They were the only contractor who actually explained what he was going to do in a knowledgeable and professional manner. I hired him and was not disappointed. Chad and his crew did a fantastic job in our backyard with all new concrete patios and walkways. They arrive even early, worked thru very cold weather and still got the job done in 2-1/2 days. We were so impressed with the attention to detail and the professionalism of all his workers. We would surely recommend using Chad for any concrete/patio needs. We will have him install some landscaping stones in our yard to make it look even more beautiful.

Chad came within days of my phone call for an estimate. His quote was more than fair. He and his guys, Kevin and James, arrived two weeks early to start the job. I made some changes to the original job, and again, the additional costs were more than fair and completed quickly. Chad kept in touch with regularly from the original estimate to job completion via texts, phone calls, and emails. I knew what they were doing, how they were doing it, why they were doing it, and when they were doing it. I have already recommended them to my neighbor.

Amazing experience! Chad was recommended to me by a friend! He was extremely thorough and went above and beyond to get our 30 x 30 garage floor and foundation walls done in less than a week. Outstanding communication as he kept us informed every step of the way! He saved our project after a 11 week delay! I had to have one of my foundation walls completely replaced and chimney repaired. Chad came right away and walked me through the whole process. He went above and beyond answering questions and explaining everything. The work was done in a timely manner and everything was cleaned up at the end of each work day. Chad and his crew did such an amazing job! I struggled to find someone to call me back and give us a quote for concrete around our new inground pool. He called me back immediately and set up a date. He walked me through the process step by step! They showed up early everyday and kept me updated on the process. The electrician that I hired never showed up to complete the pool light. Chad went to lowes grabbed what was needed to make sure I would have a working pool light. I was originally just going with a broom finish look. He suggested the stamp and I am so glad that’s the direction we went! It’s beautiful and couldn’t be happier.-Renee-
