I am very pleased with Highland Contractor's group (Dave's Jamaican Crew, Dave, Jeff, Kevin & Long) that did my siding, windows and doors. Excellent workmanship, honest, listened to any requests or concerns that I had and took care of them promptly. Also, cleaned up nicely, when work was completed. The shingles they put on my roof don’t even match the rest. The color difference is even more obvious when the sun is out! When they said I’d pay for materials, I assumed they meant matching materials?? They also left garbage on my lawn, and apparently brought a dog with them? My mail carrier left a package at a different door, because he said there was a dog running around while they were on the roof. I don’t even have a dog…The final cost was over 2x the estimate they gave me too. 👎Update: I later received an email asking if I had any comments/concerns/suggestions. I restated everything I said in this review. Like yes, it would be nice if it was done well… I got no response at all, and there was never an attempt to come fix the obvious color/shape difference of the shingles 🤷‍♀️. I received a text asking how they did too, and I said the same things then. Again, no response. Why repeatedly ask people how you did, when you don’t care?When I have to have my roof fully replaced, I’m obviously going to just choose a different company.

We had such an Amazing experience with Highland Contractors!! Our siding crew was incredible, they did a Fantastic job on our house. I would/will recommend Jeff, Ian, and John to anyone who ever needs any work done. They were all very professional, and easy to work with. Their craftsmanship is impeccable and our house looks like it is brand new. Thank you to everyone who worked on our house, but esp. Jeff, Ian, and John!! Top notch experience, so happy and proud of the work done here.I would also like thank our project manager Chad, he was so helpful in picking out our colors and being so informative on all of our options. He was always very quick to call us back when we had questions, and he made the whole process very smooth and easy. We just can't say enough good things about our whole experience!

I’m very satisfied with the work performed by Highland Contractors.I brought them on for a comprehensive project including siding, windows, gutters, insulation, and chimney removal on my old home (1902). Given the extensive scope of the project, I had anticipated the potential for things to go wrong, but this ended up being the most stress free experience I have had with a contractor to date.I cannot overstate how great it was working with Kheory and the on-site crew. They were friendly, their workmanship was very solid, and their proactive communication played a huge roll in making this a stress free experience - explaining their day to day priorities, and getting me involved when issues or opportunities arose (ex. Asking us for input on where we would like our porch swing re-hung).I’m especially appreciative of the special roll form they used for our brick molding. The more ornate style really honored the original, highly detailed wood trim that existed on our 1902 home.Lastly, in a project of this size and scope, minor errors/problems are inevitable, but Highland was very responsive and quick to get all our issues resolved.I would highly recommend Highland Contractors, and in fact have to several friends.

UPDATE: I am very pleased to say that Heather from Highland resolved all of my issues. She came out personally and reviewed my situation and handled it with professionalism and care. I am very happy with the repairs and speed in which they handled them. Steve who was the problem is no longer with highland. I plan to have them do more work at my home.I want to preface this and say that the sales associate did nothing wrong and was amazing the whole time.That being said the lead of the construction team, Steve Stuplin, was a horrible communicator and didn’t respond after multiple attempts to contact him.I hired highland to install a new fence around my backyard and put insulation in my attic. The insulation went fine, but the fence was a nuisance. When I agreed to have them do the fence, I explained that it was because my dog kept getting out. I came home to large gaps under the fence and the crew gone. I contacted my sales rep and he contacted Steve. I heard nothing. I followed up with my rep and got his number. No response. Finally, weeks later, after fixing the fence with no dig fencing that cost me $500, I received a message asking if I wanted him to come out and look at it. I told him there was no point as I had already spent a ton of money fixing their mistake. Then I received no reply or any offer to compensate me. Nothing. Do not work with highland unless you want to spend extra money fixing their mistakes.

I cannot comment on anything else they do, but as far as roofing goes, hire someone else. Sales talks a good game, but their crew failed to back that up. They damaged the deck railing, which they repaired. My gutters took a beating. Beer bottles were left out, must have forgotten to at least throw them in the dumpster. Had them back multiple times for leaks. One spot still leaks, but I’m told it’s something other than the roof. But, the worker offered to look at it as a side job. I will never call them for roofing, nor should anyone else.Update. After I posted this, I was contacted promptly by Phil Leger, the owner. He took my post seriously, and we met to see the problem the same day. Highland came out in short order to address the issue. I am impressed they reached out to me, and doubly so that they came out so quickly. So, a thank you to Phil and Highland Contractors for their swift action on this matter.

I hired Highland to replace a section of my roof that was leaking, they quoted me to replace all the plywood and roll on roofing (complete tear off.) They came out and tore the existing roll on off and did not replace all the plywood, only patched it. Within a week there was already a new leak. I called and they sent the foreman back out to take a look, he attempted to reseal the edge where the leak appeared to come from. After another two weeks there was another leak. I called for a week and nobody would answer or return my calls, when I finally got a hold of somebody they said they would give me a timeframe when a contractor could come out to take a look and try to fix the issue. The contractor showed up unannounced the next day while my wife and I were at work, they jumped my fence to get into the backyard instead of calling me to come and meet them, I received a call about 4 hours later and they told me that the issue was caused by ice damming and there was nothing they could do. I called a few more times and they would not come back out. Since then every time the roof leaks I document it, they won’t stand behind their work and the whole experience has left me with several hundred dollars in water damage to my drop ceiling. I would not recommend anyone hire them as they used a subcontractor they admittedly had never used before and will not send anyone out to fix the issues. On top of high quality work, worth noting is the excellent communication from Steve for our small job - an 8 foot privacy fence. We had to schedule, then reschedule: one for a conflict on our side, one for COVID on their work crew. Steve was right on top of it - promptly returning calls and shuffling calendars to make it work. As competent as Steve was with the communication for schedule-shuffling, the work crew was equally skilled with their tools. The work crew of 2 were clearly good at their craft. They brought the full size components: 4x4 posts, cross-hatch trim and cedar boards for the paneling. They cut to size each individual component then assembled on site. The result was snug-fit seams for the panels, posts and top cross-hatch detail ... and they did not mind that our dog, Bubbles, was outside right next to them supervising the whole project. From managing the schedule-shuffling to the skilled work crew, I was very impressed with your team. Well done all!

Jean and Marcos came to put in my new sliding glass door. Previously there was just a window and the plan is for the door and a new deck. They did an absolutely amazing job. Everybody at Highland Contractors who worked with me to repair my roof was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I will be a returning customer for new windows. My fiance and I are very impressed with the work from the crew, who worked 12 hours to make sure we had our new roof. Chad Newbauer was thorough, and polite when explaining everything. He even helped me navigate my insurance process. Chads attitude and genuine care about my situation was the best I've ever experienced in a professional setting. Samantha Morales in the office, was extremely helpful in every conversation I had with her. The coordination between her, Chad and my job supervisor, Rich Mathis was on point. Rich made sure his crew knew what my specific concerns were and was regularly present. As for the emergency repair when this all started, Steve and Will were out the same day, minimizing the damage, and thus maximizing my insurance payout. Thank you Highland Contractors! I hired Highland early in the year for a PTO flat roof replacement on a upper level of my home and was very pleased with the outcome. Tony was my contact and estimator and he was very responsive to all of my questions and concerns and returned all of my calls. As for the crew, I can't say enough. They were respectful, on time, very thorough, and they did a great job protecting the home and property and clean up was spot on. .Foreman Chris and Andy were great to work with and made sure the job was done right, no cutting corners with these guys. Going forward I had another lower section that was in need of replacement as well so I reached out to Highland again. Job well done in a timely manner. We are extremely pleased with not only the 2 skylights that we had installed, but were very impressed by the installers who took great care to not create a mess as they cut two holes in the roof. Poor quality workmanship on roof job. Tried to repair their mistakes on more than one occasion, but it still looks terrible. Broke our weather vane, cut a deep groove all the way around our stone chimney over halfway up the chimney and planned to cover it with flashing, now we have a line around our chimney with caulk plugging their shoddy work. Hung the ice and water shield over the fascia at several different lengths and even let it hang into the gutters which glued itself to the gutters, so when the gutters were removed, much of the drip edge got bent and rippled. No way to repaint the fascia if we had wanted to with the ice and water hanging down the front of it from 1/4" to about 2 1/2", all staggered! Contacted them on multiple occasions, owner came out once and was appalled at the workmanship, made one guy come out and redo some of it, sent two guys out another time to try to fix other stuff, but it still looks terrible. Then he has the nerve to not like it when I post negatively about his company, even after I sent him pics, sent him texts, talked with him on the phone and asked him to come back out and take a look, AND let him know that I would be posting negatively!! He feels it's just my opinion of the quality of the work.....well, yeah, and it's my/our opinion that should matter....we paid the bill!!! It's called service after the sale/installation!! You fired a bunch of your crew...I'm pretty sure that didn't happen because of the screw-ups just on our roof!!! There had to have been multiple mistakes on more than one job for you to have to let people go during your busy season, so that right there tells you that work was not being done very well!! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! ZERO STARS FROM US!!!!

Highland Contractors has restored my faith in home repair workers!!!!!I needed my front porch roof repaired and a friend recommended Highland to me. I AM *SO* GLAD SHE DID!!!! What an amazingly positive experience!!I contacted Tony LaMarca for an estimate. He was polite and professional on the phone and we agreed he would come to my home the next day. Not only did he show up (I’ve had MANY contractors stand me up), he came EARLY!!! He checked the roof and gave me the estimate. As mine would be a small job (about one day in total), Tony said he would fit me in to the schedule as an opening came up. I was leery about doing this, as being ‘fit in to the schedule’ usually means just before the end of the season in the late fall. Not so with Highland! From the initial estimate to job completion was 11 days! AMAZING!The job had to be split over two half days (a Friday afternoon and a Saturday morning) due to inclement weather. The work the crew did is SPECTACULAR!Highland took care of everything, from getting the dumpster to color matching my shingles and the soffits. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results!I HIGHLY recommend Highland Contractors!!
