From the time of our first initial appointment, it took a total of ten days for us to have our entire project completed. Our sump pump malfunctioned so water spread throughout our finished basement and saturated the carpet. We attempted to dry the carpet with floor fans. After 72 hours the carpet was better but the padding was still soaked. A musty smell was becoming evident so I removed all the carpet and padding.My concern was did the drywall and paneling absorb any moisture? Thats when I contacted Steve Nardozzi. He came over with in a day and checked everything out with a moisture meter. It would have been easy to say the drywall and paneling was wet and needed to be replaced to the tune of Thousands of dollars.Not the case with Steve. He was thorough, honest and truthful.I would recommend Steve and Rochester Environmental & Construction for any of your needs.Peter Carey

Rochester Environmental and Construction Group removed an old heating system containing asbestos in my home following the Canandaigua flood that occurred on July 9. They came promptly and gave me a quote, kept in daily contact with me until the day of the removal, completed all work on time and followed up to ensure my satisfaction. The workers were on time, courteous throughout the process, and attended promptly to my requests. When finished, they left my home clean and ready for the next step of installing a new furnace. I contacted Rochester Environmental & Construction Group after one of those inexpensive 48 hour mail-in radon tests recommended radon remediation. John came out promptly, and pur together a proposal which addressed all my concerns about location, noise, and cost. Before having me sign the contract though, he loaned me a radon detector which I used to test for an extended and more accurate 2 month time period.John explained that average readings over the long term are what counts and the extended test showed that remediation was not needed at this time.I really appreciate this rare combination of honesty, courtesy, and professionalism and heartily recommend them without reservation.

As a family, we live a busy life trying to balance working and kids. At certain times, unfortunate events happen which can disrupt the daily routine and create undo stress; Unfortunately we recently experienced one of those moments. A hidden pipe was leaking and getting progressively worse. It was dripping excessively and our finished basement drywall, as well as the wooden built in shelf were saturated and rotted out. Fear of the unknown set in, as we wondered if we were going to have mold issues after demo. Steve at Expert Environmental, answered the call and arrived on site quickly to evaluate. Expert Environmental, lead by Steve Nardozzi, is not your "cookie cutter" company. Steve is extremely knowledgeable, calm and well spoken. I was clearly a bit stressed and he managed to diffuse this emotion, ensuring that he would take if from here and guide me through the process with limited incremental effort from me. Steve did just that! He has significant contacts to navigate these situations and almost "magically" make these unfortunate and stressful events get handled and "disappear." Brian was phenomenal from start to finish - he was able to work in a consultation quickly, and work with our insurance company to ensure they paid for the entire quote. He was very informative about the process from start to finish and answered all of our questions within a reasonable time frame. As soon as insurance gave us the all clear, he got us on the schedule. I hired this company for asbestos abatement. I was impressed from the very beginning. When I initially called, I left a voice message & received a return call within 24hrs. The owner, Brian, was very friendly, understanding & personable when I explained my situation ( senior citizen, recently widowed, chronic illness, etc). Before the contract was signed, he offered to come help me dismantle a soffett covering some of the asbestos! You don't see that level of humanity in businesses nowadays. Bottom line: Brian explained everything that needed to be done & why. He informed me of precautions and safety hazards associated with the project. The job took 4 days (one day longer because they encountered an unexpected/unrelated complication which they repaired). Otherwise, the company started on time; finished on time; left the site neat & tidy at the end of each day. They did an excellent job and were ALWAYS respectful, courteous, accomodating & professional. And the price was reasonable for the amount of work required. We had a hugh project for removal of the following - 35 year old Ester Williams aluminum pool with deck, landscape wood, bark chips and patio cement removed, basketball hoop that was cemented in, and old oil tank in our basement. The patio cement was removed without disturbing the new landscape bushes and flowers. The pool water was pumped out. This all took around 4 hours and a couple hours the next day for the oil tank. They power washed the driveway. The team offered to help move anything that needed moving out of the way and cleaned up afterwards for all of these projects. We were very stressed about this project. It was performed professionally and efficiently. It was amazing to watch this team work and we are very happy. This was done in December when we had some good weather which was what was promised, 2 weeks after we signed the contract. We didn't have to call to see when this would be done. We were called promply. This was an outstanding job. The team is very well trained and professional. (Steve has helped us in the past with the basement water problem and recommended other company to help us. We saved what could have cost us thousands of dollars because of the recommendation from Steve and outstanding help from that company.) Thank you so much to Steve and his team for the work performed so quickly and a such a wonderful job!

My husband and I recently purchased a new home that had chipping and cracking tile that we believed to be asbestos tile. I reached out to Steve prior to closing on the home to get information and the day after we closed (which was the week of Christmas), Steve was here to take samples of the tiles. This company is awesome! I had an electrician here rewiring my house so the asbestos needed to be dealt with rather quickly. Steven was able to come out to give an estimate within a couple of days and the work was completed a couple of days later. Steven was very polite and explained the whole process. Highly recommended! I called Steve at Rochester Environmental with concerns about lead in our 140 year old home. Steve was extremely knowledgeable, patient as I asked a multitude of questions, and guided me down the right path. While he could have easily up-sold us on a variety of services, Steve instead suggested that a HEPA vacuum and air purifier would give us the best results at a fraction of the cost. I was able to purchase and pick up the equipment from Rochester Environmental the same day. It's made a world of difference for my family and our 3 young girls.I wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

The RECG staff came to the site to look at the layout of the house and basement. Then they made recommendation on how they thought the radon mitigation system should be installed. They asked for our input and any concerns or preferences we had about the installation. After listening to our requests, they put together a cost, scope of work, and agreement that we all signed. They provided their insurance certificates and placed us in their schedule in a timely manner.Once on-site to perform the work, the staff was quick, efficient and clean. They cleaned up all the debris from the work in the basement. They were careful around the trees on the house exterior and they worked with our electrician to provide an independent electrical service to the mitigation system at our request.We did not pay until the job was done and we were satisfied with the work.Their staff also followed up with us after the Radon Re-test was complete to confirm that the system was working as expected.A very nice company to work with. Have already and will recommend them to other friends.

The task was to drain and remove a heating oil tank in our basement. The very efficient crew finished in less than 4 hours. They did a very neat and complete job. Not a drop of oil was spilled (of the 185 gallons drained) and no debris was left from the tank. Filler pipes were removed and holes in the wall were filled. The crew members were professional, efficient, and friendly. I am happy to give my highest reccomendation to this company.
