In the fall of 2023, we hired Stockmohr to install a new roof (complete tear off and replacement of underlayment), new gutters, new soffit, new fascia boards and replace the vinyl siding. Everyone was amazing from our first meeting with Emmett to our final inspection with Doug and Dave. Before the work began we received the most detailed estimate I’ve ever seen! We originally planned on doing just the roof first but I’m so glad we decided to do it all at once. When Charles and his crew removed the old siding we had extensive water damage underneath. This meant that our project took a little longer but we are so happy with the results! When people come in our house they are always impressed with how warm it is (thanks to the new foam board insulation). We have had two major snow storms this winter and not one icicle off the roof, where we used to have many! We are so thankful to Stockmohr for making our 65 year old house feel brand new!

Stockmohr replaced our front door with sidelites as well as trim and our back patio sliding door and transom with French doors and a new transom. From the beginning consultation with Emmett and selection to the work being done the whole team at Stockmohr was amazing to deal with.Emmett was extremely helpful in getting us what we wanted look wise as well as getting our cost where we wanted as well. Stockmohr recently completed a project at our home where we replaced all our windows and our siding. The windows were delayed significantly due to supply chain issues (a challenge several friends experienced with other companies as well.) Once the project started, it was completed within the timeframe they estimated. The job was done very well, the crew was professional and friendly, and we are very pleased with the end product. I needed new patio doors badly! So I got three estimates. Renewal by Anderson, Home Depot and Stockmohr. I went with Stockmohr because it was significantly less expensive. Home Depot and Anderson wanted to special order patio doors for me. But my salesman William said Stockmohr could build the doors in. That brilliant idea saved me over $5,000! We recently had Stockmohr replace our roof, siding and gutters. Our interactions with Stockmohr started last year with quotes. Our salesperson was Emmet Sweet. Not only did he make several trips to our house but even brought over the owner, Doug, to confirm our roof was safe for a replacement. They are both very personable, knowledgeable and genuinely a nice guys.The roof was first on the list with 5 guys to handle the job. There was not curse words uttered and no loud music. There was one concern that was explained in detail with me and handled well. We had cold water out for the workers as the days were quite hot. They all thanked us and were very polite. The clean up was very well done and the roof is perfect.Next up was the siding. We had two brothers doing the job that were outstanding. They were extremely knowledgeable, professional and a pleasure to have at the house. Our siding looks fantastic!Next up was the gutter instal. Needed a new roof and being a first-time homeowner, I admit it was a challenge to figure out where to start. Went to Google and just started going down the list of roofers. I grew tiresome of all the no return phone calls, no shows and some that would show up but never come back! Then I saw the Stockmohr listing and am I ever so GLAD I did! I sent a message through their website and got a phone call from Nancy the next day! She scheduled a visit with Scott, who was fantastic! He was thorough and took the time to explain the process, recommendations, what was needed and timing. I then received my quote, which was right in our budget, accepted it and even took advantage of the financing! The day of install was a breeze! Doug called, said "Hey can we come tomorrow?" He was great, answered all my questions and we just let them do their thing! I was amazed that it only took a DAY! The next day, we met Dan who stopped by just to triple check everything, he was fantastic! My partner and I felt very comfortable, with Stockmohr from day one. We actually sleep better now knowing we have a quality roof over our heads each time it rains, and the best part...each person said, "Call anytime if you have any questions or concerns, even for future projects for guidance related to the roof" Seriously, where else can you find that type of customer service?? Our experience with Stockmohr started on the day of the horrible windstorm in WNY (March 8th). Like so many others in the Buffalo-Niagara region, we lost about 50% of the shingles on our house. We had just gone to the Buffalo Home Show the weekend prior, so we had many brochures from different roofing contractors in the area. We started calling around to different roofers immediately to get a quote for an emergency tarp to hold us over until we could get the roof fixed. A few other companies quoted us between $600 and $1000- yeah, you read that right.. $1000 for a tarp! Based on the recommendation of a coworker, I contacted Stockmohr. Stockmohr quoted us $350 for two HUGE tarps to cover 50% of our total roof and better yet, they were able to come out the very next day and get us tarped.The following week we scheduled several estimates from a few roofing companies we were interested in. Not only did Stockmohr’s quote come in over $1000 below the other three companies, it was the most detailed. We received 3-4 pages of detailed notes about what exactly needed to be done on the roof and what the recommendations were. This was especially helpful as we were working with our insurance company to get the damages covered. At first, the insurance was only willing to cover half a roof or a patch job on the shingles. Our insurance adjuster said he reviewed Stockmohr’s quote and agreed to immediately cover all of Stockmohr’s recommendations (a full roof replacement). The adjuster actually mentioned how it was one of the most detailed estimates he had ever received in his time working in the insurance industry.So of course, we decided to sign a contract with Stockmohr to do the full roof replacement. I was very impressed with the entire contract-signing process. I wasn’t just handed a piece of paper and told “hey sign this,” instead, every item of the estimate was explained line by line to us. We felt very comfortable that Stockmohr would be providing us with an excellent service.Unlike some other shady companies in WNY that require a huge down payment for the work, Stockmohr didn’t ask for anything up front. We simply had to put down a deposit the day the roof work was started and then pay a balance once completed and inspected. It took a while to schedule the roof replacement, but that is because Mother Nature wasn’t very nice to us during the past few months. We just had our roof replaced this past Monday (May 8th) and we’re very pleased with it. The roofers actually completed the entire tear off and replacement in one day.In addition to how great the roof looks now and knowing we have quality shingles and quality workmanship on the roof, I would like to add that the “emergency tarp” really held up for TWO MONTHS. Even with several inches of rain and snow during March, April, and May, we never experienced any major leaking. We periodically went up into the attic just to verify. This was a major concern of ours since the wind ripped the roof off right down to the plywood.We’ve dealt with other roofing companies in the past and Stockmohr was by far the most professional. It was always a pleasure calling the office and speaking with Jessica who kept us informed during the entire process. As first time homeowners, it’s scary to start working with contractors especially when there are so many shady companies out there. I would not hesitate to recommend Stockmohr for any of your roofing needs. Quality product and quality workmanship at a very affordable price. We’ve dealt with a few other contractors in the past and Stockmohr was by far the most pleasant to deal with. Thanks, Stockmohr!

The quality of craftsmanship is 100%. I love my 4 windows and the quality and installation of the siding. Kudos! Not as thrilled with the lack of project consulting. I was not aware that there is a CAD option of reviewing the project before deciding on the windows, siding colors and design prior to scheduling. I basically picked the colors off the computer screen and had to ask to see a real sample- which prompted me to change the color. I also was not consulted on the fact that my windows would not have an outside trim/casing giving them a rather unfinished look- so buyer do your research and ask to see samples of finished projects. When I called the office to inquire if we could install these pieces I was referred to the sales pro working on the project who stated that the old windows were trimmed, that Stockmohr did not do that kind of work, and besides it was now too late to make changes post siding installation- would I consider shutters?….which I don’t. So feeling a bit let down with a project the could have been 100% vs.75% due to lack of customer guidance and consultation.Service: Window installation

They played great attention to detail and readily fixed screens that were accidentally damaged during siding removal. Stockmohr really worked to meet our expectations. Our neighbors keep commenting on how nice our house looks. They are a top notch company, and I would not hesitate to hire them for home improvement projects.

Stockmohr's crew were really great. They were professional in that they were polite when I had questions and responsive to any concerns I had. They took pains to clean up and protect my plants etc. At the end of the job, I was gratified to see how many times they went around searching for stray nails and detailing the job. Soon after the job was done the owner came by and reviewed the job. He noted a few minor things he wanted to correct before he signed off on it being done. Had this company give me a quote for a new roof, liked the salesman and signed the contract on March 29, 2021. Gave them a deposit and was told lead time was 6 to 8 weeks. Was sent a 2-page "instruction" on what they expected from me and what I should do before the roof was installed. The "instruction" also outlined what they would not be liable for. So a number of weeks went by and I would call only to be told that the weather was a factor but I was on the list, or they just didn't return my call. Comes to early June I call and ask when they were scheduling my installation. Again every excuse was given and then I was told "your installation wasn't profitable" because they didn't want to send an entire crew for such a small job, and they didn't have any other jobs in my neighborhood. Really! Your salesman knew where I lived and the size of my house when you took my down payment. The owner said he would refund my deposit (which he did before I even confirmed that I had another company) because it wasn't profitable for them to do. I had waited for months, I could have had the roof done by another company but Stockmohr kept giving me excuses. Would I have been able to break my contract with them if I wanted to? Most definitely not! But they can break a contract. I did contract with another company that was able to install a new roof within a week. So your piss poor excuses about the lack of material was all a lie! I make sure I tell anyone I can what an unprofessional and dishonest company Stockmohr is. I called Stockmohr Company for a quote on having a roof put on my late brothers home. The salesman, Bill showed up as scheduled to see the property that neededthe roof. He was the only one that climbed up on the roof to check every part and advised me that we had real problems that needed to be corrected. He took the timeto go through what was going to be done, how long the job would take to complete.I had called three different contractors and Stockmohr was the least expensive. I hadspoke with another home owner who said that the crew that installed the roof on hishouse were great and cleaned up everything when they were done. My roof was scheduled and the day before the roof was installed, I received a call telling me thecrew would be at the house promptly the next morning. The roof was stripped, boards were replaced and a new roof installed. The yard looked the same when theyleft as I did when they showed up. I also had them quote my house and they weregiven that job as well. I spoke with my cousin and he mentioned that he was lookingto replace his roof. I recommended Stockmohr. Bill was the salesman who quotedthe job for them and Stockmohr was the company to do his house. I guess whena salesman is respectful of the customer, gives fair prices and the company handleseverything in a professional manner, they end up with all the work.

Our house is absolutely gorgeous. We went from having the ugliest house on the block to one of the best looking. We had the good fortune of working with Dan and Dale, they were polite, very nice and punctual. There were days they didn't leave until 7:30 at night. Hard working men. As for the work they did well we couldn't be happier it's perfect. If you are thinking about having siding done we would highly recommend Stockmohr and if you have a chance to request the workers that are going to be doing the job ask for Dan and Dale. It's a shame that they don't have more stars for the rating because I would definitely give them a 10.We also had a roof put on our garage and the crew that handled that part of the job was excellent too. We recently had Stockmohr reside our home. Overall, we are extremely disappointed at the quality of work that was done. We have had pieces of our new siding detach from the house on 3 separate occasions. Each time required a contractor to come and repair the issue.The entire process from start to finish took much longer than predicted, and now the poor quality of their work is showing. Would not recommend.
