I had my yard lined with Arborvitaes, various beds with plants around my pool, shed and deck, and a bed with pine trees.The work was performed in a timely manner. I had a review up months ago but then took it down because these issues were going to be fixed… then they were not. Many problems with this landscaper who did our patio, trees and wall around our new inground pool last summer.Biggest issue was communication, you cannot reach Matt and he doesn’t respond to texts/emails for weeks if at all. He will then talk circles around the issue with no resolution.The first time we met him he was almost an hour late for our appt and that should’ve been first red flag going forward.The patio work around our pool started to crumble less than a year being installed, all the mortar was coming out and stones becoming loose. Big problem with our Pool coping but he did finally come around to resolve it after a few discussions.Our 12 arborvitae trees were brown from the beginning of planting in september… I emailed Matt our concern and there was no response. After Fall and winter passed,I reached out again and finally he came by and fertilized them and said they are not dead so doesn’t get covered under warrantee…. if the fertilizer didn’t work he would talk to the nursery about replacing. It rained all summer and the trees still were brown and bare. we couldn’t stand to look at them. I called the nursery they were purchased from and they said they do not do warrantees on their trees, so we don’t understand what and who he was talking about.Finally after much back and forth Matt said in a email to us that they would replace 5 of the trees, ones in the worst shape.Well his guys came out and only replaced 2 of them and they are not even the same type of arborvitae, diff color and shape.I emailed again about this to which we got no response .The stones on our retaining wall put up do not match stones on our existing wall (style or color) we already had, he said he couldn't match it because they didn’t make the same color variation any longer. I later found the stones at dagostinos where we originally went. The patio stones almost didn’t match as well but we caught it before they could install them.Bottom line, after he gets his $$, Matt does what he wants, doesn’t ask questions, confirm anything and never had us pick colors, stones or anything like that. He chose our pool border for us and it’s not the style depicted in his rendering when first designed. We only received a drawing from him not a digitalized work up. He mentioned drone footage of before and after of the project but we never saw it.Shoddy work for a huge price. Would never wish this experience we had on anyone. He seems to be way in over his head and cannot handle big jobs,The one positive I will point out is that his crew was always respectful and accommodating to us and our kids and we didn’t have an issue with them.

Every interaction I have had with Matt and the team at GSL has been nothing but professional and fair priced. Their workmanship is impeccable and the crews are kind, courteous and professional with attention to detail rarely found today. Edited - Had about 30 plants planted along with river stone. Marco was fantastic and his crew was great. A few plants didn't make it and they came out and replaced them with no issues.Office staff isn't the best at getting back to you, but they are very friendly.Changing my review from 4 stars to 2. I have had to follow up multiple times, including with the owner. I would reach out, then call, then email, then call and finally got someone to talk with, this would be over a course of two weeks. They came out and replaces a few plants. Well one that they replace was the same kind of plant but I believe it is a different variety, and I wanted another plant replaces. I emailed, then emailed again finally got a response. They come out to look at the plant I was questioning not being the same variety and the rose bush I think won't make it, said they would get back to me. NOTHING, so I email and now I am 12 days past my email and still NOTHING. So I went from definitely recommending this company to now definitely NOT recommending them.

We had a pool house with stone work done along with landscaping and an entire pool patio torn up and refinished. Matt at GSL was a pleasure to work with! He was very attentive to our wants and was very professional. GSL employees were very courteous and cleaned up everyday after they were done working. I was shocked to see a review left by another customer saying how displeased they were! My back yard came out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. I get compliments all the time! I am going to have stone walls redone this year and I will definitely be using GSL. There is nobody else I would trust!

GSL was recommended by Concord pools. Not only do they have the worst customer service (Joan) but their work is very poor. Matt Baker the owner comes by to look over the job. Does a good job of going over the expectations and project but then sends a crew over that doesn’t speak English and are on a different page from the start. Matt never comes back to look over a project. Delegates to foreman. Awful workmanship and warranty was not honored for several technicalities. Workers smoked and left trash all over the yard and disposed of debris from the job on my property. The work was done 2 years ago and is already having numerous issues. All of which aren’t covered in their 15 year warranty. Shame on GSL. You have been warned.

not too bright they had us install a gas line then they complained it was too tall and they had us cut it short then they came in and built a brick house over the top of it and now it's too short and they don't want to return calls or fix it so I'm not that impressed
