I was referred to MIG Insulation by a friend.Mike the sales person came and quoted the job was very professional and knowledgeable. I was quoted a good price. I was presented with a detail summary of what work would be done.Today the crew showed up Andy, Sean, Pete, and Antoine were courteous professional. Andy kept me informed step-by-step of what he was doing with the Insulation and resolving some vent issues. Andy was very knowledgeable, Thorough and precise on what needed to be done. I highly recommend MIG and it’s crew if you’re looking for professional first rate job.

MIG completed an insulation job at our home and caused more than $1200 worth of damage to our hardwood floors. We documented the damage and contacted them within hours of them leaving the job site. Although they stated they would follow up with us right away, it took them several weeks to return to look at the damage. They then denied that they had caused the damage, and blamed another contractor who had recently been in our home for a related job. Ultimately - even after we provided them with multiple estimates showing what repairing the damage was going to cost - they offered us only a $350 discount. Steer clear of them. We had actually planned to hire them in the spring for new gutters, but that definitely won’t be happening now.

Very neat and clean... when they left you'd never know they were there, clean as a whistle when they left !

We had MIG come out for an on-site estimate to do spray foam insulation for cathedral ceilings and under the floors of the additions. I asked about the low clearance and he said, “no problem, we run into this all the time.” The estimate was high, but they were able to get it done in a reasonable time so we booked them. We were sent an email with the estimate and I replied with confirmation on 1/12/23. The guys came out to do the job on the 18th - they were friendly and professional. BUT they said there was no way they were going to do the floors because of the low clearance. I asked why, and they said they had run into this before - they would have to dig a trench to get the clearance and it was really muddy, so it would be awhile.I texted our sales contact (name withheld) on 1/27/23 to ask when the guys were going to come out and finish the job. No response. No call, no email, no text. Next thing we know, we receive a bill in the mail. In the description it still includes the floors, but they were never done!? The price is lower, but no explanation for why the floors were not done.We were happy to finally confirm a company to do the insulation, even though it was expensive. We didn’t have to figure out something else to do for the floors - so that was off our plate and we could move on to the next thing. Now we’re going through this run-around. 😖 Not fun.MIG is a big company and they should have the equipment and expertise to handle something slightly out of the ordinary - especially since both the salesman and the techs said it was possible.

The MIG team definitely works together. Everyone that I interacted with, from the estimator, the work crew, to office staff, was polite and professional. The work crew took photos to show me the job they completed. The whole process was easy, and so timely. If you’ve ever had any work done on your house you know that communication and timing are key. Nathan called me very shortly after receiving my online inquiry about gutter replacement and made an appointment for an in-person estimate a few days later. He was very professional and informative and took time to explain what kind of work was involved and what the installation guys would do. That was a Wednesday and our gutters were installed by Monday morning. They look and work great. We're very happy with MIG and have recommended them to our friends.

Thanks to MIG for their professionalism, and outstanding service! Having a small job can sometimes lead contractors away to other larger endeavors. Not MIG!! They were prompt, courteous, and had my small home's gutter replaced within days of calling them. The entire team was helpful! The MIG Building Systems, team arrive on time, the crew was friendly and worked in a very professional matter. They reviewed the contract with me and examined the interior of the house before they started the attic insulation. I observed the process and the work was completed in three hours as stated and no short cuts where taken. I would call on them again for an estimate if I need other projects done. Their estimate was in the middle of three estimates I received and I know I chose the write company to do the work.

MIG installed gutter guards for us in two phases. At the second installation the workers installed the guards but did not remove debris first. We called, and MIG sent the crew back to clean them out within a few days. MIG gave us good service and made good on having everything done correctly.

I had a great experience with MIG. Derek came over gave a quick estimate which was fair and much less than others I had gotten (new attic insulation) and when I called to set up the appt, they were out literally the next day, first thing in the morning and had the job done in a couple of hours. I got a follow up text from Derek to make sure I was completely satisfied and happy with the work that was done. Will be getting a quote for gutters next. Thanks again MIG!

I needed gutters and downspouts, and I'd never used MIG before. They got right back to me, came out that week, gave a me a quote via email. I approved it, they scheduled the job (about 10 days out) and did it right on time. They even showed up on a snowy day, and were done by noon. Good color match, and they are totally seamless; no more leaks!

We had our fireplace serviced, it was having a problem, we paid $130 for this service call, they washed the glass front. The service personnel said it needed a new gas valve and that they would have Nate call us to schedule the repair, which we will pay for another $300 - $400. Nate never called, we called them 4 different times leaving messages for Nate or someone to call us back. Nobody has ever called. They are very unreliable. My advice call someone else.Update:Just heard from MIG yesterday, more than a month after I posted my first review. Customer service is NOT their strong suit. However, I no longer wish to do business with them, I've had someone else repair my fireplace.

Our town had MIG came in to do energy audit on their residents home. They blew installation in our attic and re-vented the shower fans. Well when they did this the cut into our roof but never installed flashing. Fast forward a few years and we start getting small leaks in our bathrooms. We have tried everything to figure it out. We finally found a roofer that actually found the problem & fixed it. We now have to replace a whole ceiling because of their shady work.

In 2007 Derick and his "MIG"crew did blown in insulation in the walls, ceiling and attic on my 1928 built home. The before and after difference was very dramatic and actually saved me $50-$100 or more a month in heating cost all those years that I lived there. It turned out to be a very good return on investment!I recently moved a few miles away but still stayed in East Irondequoit, I purchased a ranch house, it's more senior friendly. I purchased this house sight unseen during the Pandemic knowing that it would need many updates, I negotiated a fair price that kept those upgrades in mind.The first project I did was to add insulation in the walls and attic which also included "air sealing" all penetrations in the first floor celing. My first choice to call was to call MIG and I was pleasantly surprised to see that Derick was still employed with MIG as an estimator and came to give me a quote.I didn't even shop around for other estimates. The quoted price from Derick was very fair and the quality of workmanship and materials are as alway premium quality. I wanted to tackle this job first to take advantage as soon as possible to conserve energy this winter. The work was scheduled quickly and completed in a timely fashion over a few days. Siding was removed and replaced to blow in the walls, you can't even tell MIG was here.I am planing to have electrical and plumbing work done soon, I will then will have the MIG crew come back to spray foam the rim/band joist area to completely finish insulation of my newer home.

Shopping around for new gutters and downspouts. Stefanie from MIG provided an estimate. She will not return my calls, emails or text message and I have sent many. I sent a request to be contacted via MIG website and no return message or call. Never had an experience where I was ready to buy and no one would help. UPDATE: Stefanie contacted me and explained there was a lack of communication on who was servicing her pending business at MIG while she was on leave. She was apologetic, professional and sincere. I have revised my STAR rating to reflect this.

I have had them install a new gas fireplace insert and shelving in my closets. Both experiences were great, they were very responsive throughout the entire process. The guys who did the installs were also great, they were on time, very friendly and very clean, which I greatly appreciate! I would always recommend MIG to other homeowners!!

I have no idea what happened to MIG they use to be great NOW not so great, we had new gutters put up a few years ago and the crew and office staff were wonderful, after this years storm we had a tree go down on the garage crushing the gutter I called MIG and John came out and gave us an estimate , we advised MIG that we are having the rest of the trees taken down and I wanted the new gutter up after the trees were cut down I wrote it on the contract I called and spoke with 2 people and guess what , they called the next day to schedule it for that week I asked them what part did you not understand after that I was not treated kindly by the office staff. I had to call John who apologized and advised the office to wait for my call. The tress came down a few weeks later and I called MIG to schedule the appointment and WAS told that I would receive a call the night before the install with a time , guess what no call, I again had to call John again and was promised that his crew would be at my home between 8 and 9 am , no one showed up I checked voice mail and the office called at 9:40am telling me "good news, the crew will be at my home at 11am" again I called John and was told they had a gutter emergency they had to do first, really ?? a gutter emergency , so I called the office and asked how come there was no call earlier or the night before , I was told I miss understood that they don't call till the day of installation , really I miss understood they call the day of install, how can customers plan their day if they don't call till the day of. Their gutters and install crew are the best but their Office and customer service is NOT

Tried calling the business several times to quote for custom Closet Maid installation. Called 3 times, 3 weeks between each call. No call back or quote offered. My parents had great service with MIG 20 years ago when they built their home. Not sure what's going on with this company.

***EDIT 1/16/18*** MIG reached out to me and apologized for the delay in completing the project. Sent someone over and finished the job. Hard to tell with all the snow but looks to be in good standing order! Just keep in mind this whole experience.Good initial communication with MIG, product and install looked good. However the job is still not finished a month later and now we are in winter so most likely will be completed next year. Have emailed and called multiple times with no replies. If your looking for gutters you might want to think about your options before booking MIG.

Very skillful!They came to put gutters on our place at the lake and did a very very good, professional job!They even took the time to line up the hangers with each roof truss to keep the screws hidden and leave a very professional clean look to the job.Erik and Jeromy did a fantastic job and they are highly recomended!!

Zero stars. Negative Stars. Don't waste your time with MIG. Seeing their low rating on Google, I should have known better. Called and made an appointment with their Estimator "Stanley," for an Estimate. Stanley was scheduled to meet me at my home at noon on Wednesday. Stanley was a no show. Stanley didn't call or text to say he would be late or that he couldn't make it. I have a full time job managing a residential service business. I took time off of work on a weekday to meet Stanley at noon....About an hour after missing the Estimate, Stanley is now calling and texting my phone; repeatedly. Oops, some other project went longer than expected! Really bad customer service. They could have had their answering service call to let me know they were running late. My time is worth money also. I would recommend not wasting your time or money with this company.
