We used JSynergy for solar panel installation, and I would definitely recommend using them.I had been thinking about going solar for a while but I wasn’t sure if it was worth the investment. It is now more than a year since installation and I can say that it was definitely worth it.Our monthly electric bills have plummeted and in some months we actually make money from sending energy back to the grid.The team at JSynergy took the time to thoroughly explain all the steps and the different available options. They were also very responsive to my questions and made the paperwork very easy. They were not pushy and just overall very professional.The installation took a day and a half and I’ve had zero issues.For anyone thinking about going solar, I would definitely recommend JSynergy.

The team they sent to our home to insulate the roof, a wall, change some lighting, and weatherize the doors was professional and quick. Although we are still in middle of a job (we are getting new windows and storm doors next week) we can already see a huge difference. Our house never reached 68 degrees on very cold days. Now our home reaches the desired 68 degrees fairly quickly and the heat is barely on. Thanks for taking care of the grants and matching fund loan to finance our project. The only issue we had was the waiting time, while we were hoping that the grants etc would go through

In 2015, J Synergy did a magnificent job in my house. I am highly disappointed and frustrated with this company. First off, the contractor recommends thing to be done that's not needed. Yes, in the end the invoice is a recommendation; however, if your clueless about construction/household reno's then you’re likely to take his recommendations. If you don't pay attention and question EVERYTHING on the invoice then you'll end up spending extra money for no reason. Even questioning things don't really get you a clear response (maybe because my last name isn't like all those that left positive reviews but that's aside from the point). There were charges on my invoice that I'm still not even sure what it was for (was that questioned?, numerous times with NO real clear answer). Second, they hire all Hispanic workers most of which don't speak English so there's no communicating with them. Third, the language they use on invoice needs to be clear and accurate. They use the word REPLACE sheetrock for areas where we had insulation done and also areas where we had sheetrock damage/molding. When I questioned the reason the areas with damaged/molded sheetrock was not cut out and "replaced" like the insulated areas as indicated on invoice instead of compounded over they indicated that’s not what replace means when referring to the damaged areas and that it would be an extra charge if they cut out the damaged areas and actually replaced it. If that's the case then the invoice should have stated scrape and compound or even patch damage/molded sheetrock NOT REPLACE. Fourth, the workers left the old batt insulation they took out of the wall in the crawl space. The weatherization strips on the door are falling off and one was not installed properly as cold air is coming in under the door and they take NO responsibility for possible damage they may have caused while working. If you’re going to consider using this company, I would HIGHLY suggest having the contractor come back after the invoice is completed, explain and show you EXACTLY what is going to be and the EXACT location(s). As for the foam insulation they installed it’s still too early for me to tell if the house is any warmer. As for me, I would NEVER recommend or use this company again. I’d rather pay another company to correct things they didn’t do correctly and even BROKE. An unfortunate EXPENSIVE lesson learned with this company.1/8/22- The house is much warmer as a result of the foam insulation. So, I will give the company that.

There was a lot of work done. Spray foam Insulation was done to the attic slope, outside overhang along the bedrooms and rim joist in basement backroom. As well as insulating exposed pipes. Air sealing work was done by applying door sweeps and calking the windows and floors. Safety and compliance was done by modifying the bathroom ceiling fan to vent to exterior of house, installed pipe on PTR valve 6” off the ground and installed Rockwool barrier to buffer newly installed spray foam from flue/chimney. Installed Sheetrock above combustion appliances. Cleaned dryer vent and installed a new exterior chimney cap. My upstairs bedrooms are much warmer. The workers were professional and friendly. I would recommend J Synergy to anyone looking to insulate their homes.Service: Install flooring

REVISED 4/23/18: my major issue has been resolved thanks to Moshe and the team at J synergy. I was having a very tough time finding a vendor to repair issues on the gree units installed through J synergy but they went ahead and called around and finally successfully found me a competent vender who was able to take care of everything. They really worked hard to correct the mistakes made by the previous team (again, who no longer work with them, thank god!). Also a correction to my first review: I would not have been able to hire my own contractor precisely - I would have had to find contractors working through the NYSERDA loan program. I am leaving up my previous reviews only as a note to anyone doing ANY work in their home - always ask lots of questions and be persistent.REVISED 3/2/18: They are currently working with me to rectify a couple of the problems and have been trying very hard to help me. The 2 people I worked with in the past no longer work there and they are trying to make up for the poor service I received by them. Once the matter is fully resolved I will further revise this review accordingly.OLD REVIEW: I applied for a NYSERDA energy efficiency construction grant in May 2015 through J Synergy Green and I thought everything was going well. They were initially responsive and filed all the paperwork for me. Once the construction started, I realized that I was in trouble. I found out after all was done that they did not inform me (nor was it posted anywhere) that, though they can apply for the funding, I can hire my own contractors. Their contractors were incompetent and caused many delays and problems: 1. shoddy window and door installation - they had to come back numerous times to a. repair some of the windows' installation so that we can properly lock the windows, b. ordered a smaller door rather than the custom size door they charged for (re-installed the door 3 times, adding a large step that caused a tripping hazard and tons of extra molding around the door that is ugly and not well insulated, c. basement door - they installed a new door but when they installed a new frame they left it uncaulked causing major water leaks in my basement. Had to come back numerous times to rectify the situation. 2. ductless a/c installation and electrician: a. used cheap gree units which within 2 years have leaked Freon and need a new fan replacement. When trying to get point of sale receipts so that I may employ the manufacturer's warranty, was given the run around and was left to buy the replacements. J Synergy will not pay for the repair of the unit that lost all it's Freon because labor only has a 1-year warranty but unit never worked properly. b. electrician installed $4000 worth of power lines and replaced the circuit box but installed box sideways, causing the box door to fall on my electric meter and crack the glass, making it look like I tried to tamper with my meter. c. the installation of the a/c units delayed my entire construction project by weeks, which delayed my move-in and caused much stress. I have tried to resolve matters with them repeatedly and though they have solved some problems, they refuse to resolve others and have been troublesome every step of the way.
