We cannot say enough about the outstanding work of Rob Russo, Erin Russo and their entire team at Fair and Square! We used them for a large home renovation which included a new kitchen, dining room, living room, finished basement, windows and siding and couldn’t be happier with the finished product. Everything was completed with extreme care from the most pristine detail of the trim, crown moldings, picture frame molding on walls to the most eye-popping kitchen finishes and new doorway arches! Rob’s crew was impeccable treating our home with care, cleaning up after themselves and coming back to ensure small little details after the project was over were thoroughly cleaned up and followed through on. They were upfront and honest with costs, kept to our budget and went above and beyond to ensure our home project was completed as if it were their own. We will definitely be using them in the future! My wife and I hired Rob to do a complete gut remodel of our main bathroom this winter and Rob, Sergio, and everyone did an absolutely amazing job. Work was really well scheduled back to back every day and the timeframe we were originally given was pretty accurate. Rob was always extremely professional and available and always responded to any questions quickly and even went above and beyond to address things he noticed beyond the initial scope of work. Rob was always committed to make sure we were happy was always quick to respond to or address any concerns we had. All of Rob's crew and electricians and plumbers were always extremely professional and easy to deal with. Rob always made sure to accommodate the details and small preferences in our design and was able to work out every detail of the tile layout and easily accommodate any personalized requests (e.g. shower niche, unusual grout). We are extremely happy with the result and everything has been holding up very well since. We look forward to using Rob and Fair and Square for more projects in the future!

I just had the best contractor experience I have ever had. Had my small master bath redone and it came out beautifully. Highly recommend Fair and Square - Rob the owner is so great to work with - he checks in every day both morning and afternoon, oversees the plumbing and electrical and any subs. Sergio the on-site foreman is a true craftsman whose work is impeccable - he takes such pride in his work and it shows. I also asked that when certain things were going to be done if they could do those on my day off so I could oversee it. They always accommodated my schedule! I had a couple of complications because of the small size of my room and Sergio figured out some clever and beautiful solutions - just really knows every aspect of construction. Every day they protected all my stuff while they worked and cleaned up at the end of the day and they dealt with my slight obsession with details as I laid out the marble tiles in the way I wanted so the pattern would look random! (They also put in a new skylight in the den). Working with their foreman was so easy cause he just knew what I was trying to do (an added bonus they are the contractors for the Nate and Jeremiah show on LI so you know they are good).

Rob Russo and the team from Fair and Square Contracting did a fantastic job on our siding and front door project. Rob was professional, responsive and treated us with the utmost level of courtesy. They have great attention to detail. The team worked hard despite less than ideal outdoor weather conditions to finish our project in a timely manner. I would recommend them for any home improvement job and would most definitely use them again in the future.

This is the second time using Fair & Square. Rob and his team as always did an amazing professional job. We cannot be happier with this total renovation of our living room and dining room. This is just one of the pictures of the custom door and frame they had built for us. We will definitely be using them again for our kitchen renovation.

Great experience. Rob and Jay were consummate professionals throughout the duration of the project. They completed each aspect of our remodel on time (if not ahead of schedule), and on budget. Reasonable prices on materials and labor. No big surprises, and best of all, NO hassles. Completed the project three weeks earlier than originally projected, and the house looks and functions great. I recently hired Fair and Square Contracting to change the siding of my home. I was very impressed with Rob from the moment my husband and I met him for an estimate. The price was competitive and fair but what closed the deal for us was Rob’s integrity and work ethic. Needless to say, we made the right choice. For any projects, I usually get a few quotes to compare prices and companies. Rob the owner from Fair and Square was my first quote on a window project and after our first encounter there was no need to get comparison quotes. Rob is great to work with, professional, knowledgeable and very patient with my thousand questions.While we were waiting for the supplies to come from the manufacturer, I called Rob over once again to get another quote, this time on my roof. Within a few weeks, Rob had his team over to work on both projects together. Sergio was the main man on the team, and I can’t express enough how pleasant, respectful and amazing Sergio is. We are first time home owners and Sergio is obviously an experienced professional. He gave us ideas that we would not even think of. He leads a great team. They took pride in their work and cleaned everyday after they were done. When the project was over, I hardly had any cleaning up to do.My windows and roof came out beautiful. These are my forever contractors. There is no need to go anywhere else. I don’t want to forget the office staff as well. Lisa and Erin are the definition of customer service. They are very responsive to emails and phone calls. No question was left unanswered. Lastly, I would like to mention how humble Rob was when his team mentioned he would be making an appearance on HGTV. It was an absolute pleasure working with the entire team, and I’m already looking into our next project together. Thank you!

Working with Fair & Square and Rob the owner was great. We asked them to remove a window for us & fill it in to make a wall. Not only does the finished product look excellent, but the workers who handled the job were punctual, professional, and very clean. They did a great job. Side note: Fair & Square also fixed a slight roof problem we were having as well as installed our chimney liner. Again, great work!

Fair and Square made our house a home. Rob, Sergio and crew added life and outdoor living space to our dinning room. We now have a gorgeous back deck with access to our backyard from the second story or our home. The sliding glass door brings light into a perviously dark room. They also resurfaced our living room ceiling and walls, took out an old air conditioner, patched our wall and expertly painted. The crew from Fair and Square were perfectionists from beginning to end. I am so pleased with how our space turned out and I will come back to them for our bathroom and kitchen remodels as well. I can not more highly recommend them.

Fair and SquareFair and Square is the name of Mr. Robert Russo’s construction company of Farmingdale, in Long Island. Those two words perfectly define what Mr. Russo’s company is all about: fair and square: extraordinary service at reasonable cost. From the very first meeting, when Mr. Russo came to the house to look at the architect’s blue print, he impressed us by his clear, sincere and professional approach to his business. The project, to redo the foundations of the main entrance of the house with new foundations, new steps and platform, building a porch and changing the door, small or midsize job didn’t matter: he explained very clearly what the work would entail, steps and flow of the work, materials needed and cost, which he followed strictly from beginning to end, even when some aspect of the project required more work and more time than originally anticipated.Mr. Russo was involved in every step of the work. He has a pool of very well trained and hard working people: very professional, hardworking and with lots of experience. The crew that was most involved in our project, Sergio and his two assistants, performed an excellent work: highly skilled workers in masonry, carpentry and in all around construction work, they complemented each other perfectly, and together they did an excellent job. They were very accommodating and open to consider some small details and suggestion from us. Their work, particularly some details in the porch and the doorframe, was extraordinary. They were equally very generous with their time, specially the last day when they had to extend their time to accede to our request to finish the work on that weekend. Mr. Russo was always available and prompt to attend to any of our concerns. Would I recommend him and his company? I am already looking at our next house project to fall into Fair and Square work schedule!

Rob and his team just finished a major renovation for our split level ranch home in Bay Shore (new floors on two levels, kitchen, living room, dining area, main bedroom, closets, etc…) and to say their work is impeccable is an understatement.
