Girardi Contracting has been a great find in Floral Park. I had a basement bathroom remodeling done. Greg corrected the previous owner conditions, had great deal of care to furnish our custom design to completion. He advised where to shop for tiles, hardware and was very helpful explaining the process. Greg is busy and has a backlog of projects so be sure to get in the line. Results are worth the waiting.

Greg Girardi did 3 home inspections for me when I was looking for a home and I wouldn't use anyone else. He takes two hours to do an inspection as he is very thorough. Each time I came to an inspection at the end to just go over the findings for 20-30 minutes. If there are any issues with a house he will find them. He does not rush or overlook anything. Greg produced an impressive inspection report! The end product was a 78-page PDF with high-resolution photos (including drone shots) and commentary. (148 MB! It's too big to be a regular attachment. Don't forget download before the Mail Drop link expires in a month!) An example of attention to detail was noticing two lines running into a single breaker on a very dense breaker box.He really added value when I was looking to buy a house in an area with extremely limited supply. Greg's contracting background allowed him to provide ballpark estimates on time and cost for various remediations. That allowed me to confidently decide whether it was worth forging ahead or to walk away and hope that something in my price range came up later...Having Greg patiently explain things dialed down the stress for this first-time house buyer! I would give 0 stars if there was an option for Greg's unreliability and arrogant attitude. I found him to be a hot tempered and a stubborn individual who talks in a condescending manner. In our discussion today, he kept on speaking over me to get his way. I expressed to him that no one talks to me in this manner but that didn't stop him. With him it’s simply his way or the highway. He gives a 15 minutes heads up to inform us that he will show up 30 minutes before the scheduled home inspection time because that's convenient for him. If the buyer, seller and agent want to be present when he starts his exterior home inspection, it is well within their right to do so. We all had agreed to a time in advance. He stated that he will start early and share with us his findings. Well that's not what we wanted. We wanted to be present for the entire home inspection. If he wanted to come in earlier, he should have been courteous enough to let us know at least few hours in advance. A 15 minute advance notice to change the home inspection time is not acceptable by any standards. At the end of the phone call, he said it’s not worth his time and cancels the inspection and hangs up the phone on me. Don't trust Greg. He is not reliable.

Greg showed up with water and snacks for us, which was a fantastic start, but he really shined once the inspection began. There are two questions when hiring a contractor: will the work be done well and will I get a fair price. I can say with confidence that if you choose Girardi Contracting the answer will be YES to both.We have used Girardi Contracting for both a kitchen remodel in 2018 and a minor upgrade to the entire house in 2017. We bought a fixer upper and the house needed a lot of upgrading. All of the outlets were 2 pronged so they needed to be updated to 3. There was only 1 air conditioner so we needed AC units added to both upstairs bedrooms and a downstairs bedroom. Greg Girardi was able to run electricity upstairs to power the AC units. We had to get the house repainted and the wood floors refinished. Greg also checked our boiler to make sure our heat would be working properly through the winter.The end results are beautiful. Our house looks very nice. We are very happy with the quality of the work. I would recommend Greg Girardi for any project you are considering.
