The work done by the Upscale team on our living room, staircase, and deck remodeling was great! The project involved tricky design issues around the stairs and the fireplace, and difficult construction issues on the deck, and was further complicated by the fact that there were certain elements that we did not want to change. Upscale worked with us to develop a vision and a specific plan - from the major elements down to the trim - and implemented it beautifully. The results are truly transformative and the new integrates exceptionally well with the old. The fireplace area, stairs, and decks are completely different but you would never guess that these were not part of the original home design. Upscale owner Steve Nash and designer Christie Dixon were wonderful to work with and we especially appreciated the care and attention to detail provided by Rich White and his crew. This is the third and most complex project Upscale has done for us (previous projects were a basement office renovation and kitchen update) and we hope to be able to use them again for all our future building and remodeling projects.

We just completed our third set of projects with Upscale. Their leadership and design staff are thorough and thoughtful in the planning and design phase. The carpenter and worker teams that do the installation work are also professional and skilled, with an eye to quality, flexibility, and good communication throughout. We had different teams for each set of work (one crew leader in the first two phases, another in this most recent) and each team was patient and accommodating while being very knowledgeable and completing quality work on our home!

Upscale did a marvelous job of upgrading and screening in the front porch on our 100-year old house, transforming it from a little-used area to a wonderful “room” where we spent most of the summer. Steve's design, which he developed with Rob of Stream Engineering, functions superbly and looks beautiful. Scott, Rich and Dylan’s workmanship in building the porch was exceptional. They carefully assessed the bones of the porch and then improved the structure so that it will last a lifetime, and their craftsmanship on the moldings and a structure to support a surrounding wisteria was excellent. Upscale Remodeling has done it again! This is our fourth project with Upscale and each one has been exactly as we envisioned. We love our newly remodeled kitchen. We absolutely couldn’t be happier. The quality of the materials is stellar and the craftsmanship can’t be beat. The new showroom is terrific. Seeing actual displays made our decision-making process simple. Lydia and the rest of the crew were always there to help and answer any questions that came up. A decade ago, Steve Nash and his Upscale Remodeling carpenters replaced all the windows and exterior doors of our 1936 stucco house. Every aspect of the project was on such a professional level that two years ago we hired Steve without any hesitation to completely remodel the kitchen and a bathroom. As before, Upscale’s work was superb.This house had numerous surprises lurking under floors and behind walls during this latest project, and as each was discovered, Upscale immediately explained the situation and we’d discuss the options until we were satisfied of the best one. Upscale Remodeling did detailed preparation work necessary for another installation by someone else. They are an incredible set of people to work with. From the first step which was scoping out the job, through to the proposal to the detailed work and the cleanup and finish they were amazing. Stephen answered any overall questions I had and Josh who ran the day to day work on the job kept us aware of what was going on. There were no hiccups at all. I felt that they 1) did what they said they would do 2) in the time frame they gave me and 3) for the price they quoted. We found ourselves in the middle of a kitchen remodel that was not going well. Upscale stepped in, assessed the situation, provided a detailed description of the scope of the project and talked us through every phase. They were courteous, respectful and always communicated in a timely manner. Suggestions were offered when we were unsure as how we wanted to proceed. They were gracious to work with others we had previously hired to provide electrical etc. Our disaster turned into a dream kitchen. Everyone we dealt with knew their role/craft. We hired Upscale for a full renovation of our basement in 2006. They lowered the cement floor, opened up the walls to make it a walk-out basement, enlarged the windows, landscaped the outdoors, and pretty much transformed the space int something fabulous.What we liked most about working with Steve Nash and his crew is how carefully they managed the time and expenses of the project. Steve Nash and his crew have completed several projects at our home. So when the time came to "spruce up" the home my parents lived in for 40+ years, I didn't hesitate to call Steve for help. Upscale has done a lot of work for us, including repairing a leaking roof that no previous contractor had been able to fix, renovating two bathrooms, repairing a corner of our old barn which was sinking into the ground, and replacing a number of old windows. Very professional company. They took the time to design the project with us over the course of several weeks. Then they did a complete kitchen remodel including new ceiling, floor, lighting, appliances, cabinets, etc. in just over four weeks!
