John J Contracting, as a company, is thoughtful, thorough, professional, kind, personable and their staff is truly skilled.Throughout our project (a major patio covering and fireplace) they were helpful and consultative every step of the way. As new homeowners, and undergoing our first major renovation project, they were immensely helpful by; explaining what our plans actually meant, helping us determine whether they were (or were NOT) what we wanted, navigating the permit and inspection process, coordinating with our architect (making recommendations) and most importantly helping us problem-solve the unexpected hiccups that always come up. We had a unique project where we didn’t do things in the correct order, but the John J team (Paul Coppolino specifically) helped us work through all of the issues and ultimately made everything look great functionally and esthetically. They were also very straightforward and fair about pricing, overages and timeline.All of our friends who come to the house now give us the best compliments on the new addition and we are very pleased with it. We were so impressed by their work that we are looking to work with them again on another larger project in the near future.

John J Contracting did a beautiful job building a portico for my house. I’ve always wanted this addition and they built it exactly the way we wanted it. Our neighbors have told us that they did such a great job and say, “it looks like it’s always been there, not built after the house was built”. My kids said, “our house actually looks nice now”. The team from John J Contracting was professional, punctual, and adhered exactly to the project plan and schedule. They cleaned up so well that you never knew they were there. You hear stories about other contractors who do not live up to expectations and are always hindered by delays, we did not have that experience with John and his team. We were fortunate to secure John J Contracting for our home expansion. Our project included all new siding, windows, gutters, lighting, new bathrooms, bedrooms, wood flooring and new patio installation. The quality of the work was first class from their carpenters, plumbers, electricians, floor, tile and masonry work was all 2nd to none. They even hung our large wall TV and set it up wireless.The project was well organized and we were provided a schedule of work at the onset. The Project Mgr was on site and on top of the work and the trades came in and out as scheduled so we were not slowed down waiting in between. There is really nothing they can't do. AND they were fair on pricing, a WIN WIN! I was in a very tough position trying to get my young daughter and I into our new home with a limited budget and trying to navigate a leaking roof that had to be fixed asap or I would lose my homeowners insurance. Other roofing quotes had me near tears and then John came and gave a very different price! I thought it was a mistake?!? But…John understood my situation and went above and beyond to make sure his team did right by us. John himself stopped over several times including right before he had to catch a flight. I couldn’t believe it! He has called to check in on us and it just goes to show he truly cares about his customers…everyone in his office does too so kudos to John for setting that tone for his company! Went under contract for a fire rehab of my home in Jan 22, requiring multi trade repairs and construction. Worked was permitted and completed in early May, even with the pandemic and material shortages. I liked the way the job was run, they assign a Forman who is in contact with you regularly and they have skilled craftsman to do the work. The staff were professional and everything went like clockwork. There were unforeseen conditions as with any job, and Paul (super) gave options and recommendations along with a fair price to address. The home office staff were also very attentive to your request and that was most appreciative. I would recommend John J Contracting to anyone, they are honest, fair and get the job done right. This construction company is fantastic. We’ve used them for 2 projects so far, couldn’t be happier and will never use anyone else again! The entire staff from the owner, John, to the manager, Paul, and all the workers we encountered, were friendly, professional and very knowledgeable in every aspect of our project. All companies work on multiple jobs at the same time yet John and Paul checked in on ours daily-sometimes a few times a day-and made us feel like our project was the only one they had going on. I’ve never experienced that before. Companies in the past I worked with I usually had to call, remind, and chase down just to keep them coming to our house! Not with John J. And we could basically reach out to them at any time. We first used them for a full conversion of a sunroom, bathroom and laundry room. It came out absolutely beautiful. Our 2nd project was last spring when they transformed our simple backyard space into something stunning that now feels like a resort. Large, beautiful pool deck and masonry. This job was post-Covid and they took all the safety precautions so I felt completely comfortable. Several families who came over and saw their work firsthand were so impressed they hired them for their own home projects. This company went above and beyond with everything they did. This company is amazing great experience went above and beyond on my nexted project I will be calling them
