This small town shop will have most of what you need but at a premium price and if it weren't for the kind staff I doubt it would even exist.When you first enter the store, your greated with dirt... Literally, the place is filthy. It's also difficult to find what you're looking for with store having no sense of departmentalizing requiring customers to wander from one end to the other to find what they need.Tear it down, and rebuild a friendlier cleaner store with out deer head mounted on the wall and stop with the insane prices.

Best hometown hardware around! A little bit of everything and the prices are as good as big box stores. Always friendly faces and lots of "discussion" to be had. Zack runs a tight ship and I'll always do business with them.

Great small town service with everything the chain stores would have and then some, sometimes the prices are a little higher than the chain stores but the convenience can't be beat if you're from the area or even just coming through, the employee's are fairly knowledgeable on most things the average person or contractor would have questions about. They also carry a small selection of firearms, both long gun and sidearms

I needed a bolt for my mower. I was at camp 15 minutes away, 10 minutes from closeing, the female employee ask me what size bolt I needed and left it out front for me. THATS GREAT SERVICE THANK YOU!!

The employees make it a pleasure. They make the effort and go the extra mile. I have been dealing with Dolhof for many years as I have a campsite nearby. Recently I had to manufacture a plumbing part to replace something that wore out after a ferw decades. Dolhof employee Bree came to the rescue. We took the old part in and she walked us through creating one in the store ( with new technology) and also explained the installation process and dolhof rented a crimper tool for five dollars a day ( returned an hour later)which was better than purchasing one for seventy eight dollars. It doesn''t get any better than this!

handy local store that has some of everything. the employees are very eager to help so you don't spend hours searching like you have to at the jumbo stores. prices are as good and sometimes better than the superstores as well.

Walmart in Lowville was out of muzzleloader primers the day before season opened; and this place came through for me! My first time here. Excellent selection and polite helpful staff.

I just.cant understand how the rest of New York state pays 1.69 per gallon for propane and they charge flat 330 per gallon or flare rate you of 21 gallons for 72.00 dollars for a 100 lb. tank which is 2.5 gallons short of a full tank per 100 lb tank I think a investigation should be started for Lewis county and the hardware store
