Jamie and his team at McClurg exceeded our expectations with the work they just completed. They were easy to work with during the planning process. We explained our vision and the team took it from there. As all the pieces were put into place, we were guided and supported every step of the way. The work was done quickly, professionally, and without much disruption in our daily lives. McClurg took care of everything!! We did not have to think about a thing during the process. I can’t say enough about the quality- as close to perfect as perfect can be! They will be the first call we make when we need some more work done!! In fact, we already made a list!

McClurg did a full remodel of my master bedroom to include repainting , removing a carpet, and installing flooring and new stair treads.. The result is a beautiful room and a beautiful stairway. They also repaired and repainted a dining room which had serious water damage to the ceiling and three walls. They repaired the damage and repainted the whole room - result another beautiful room.

Was incredibly hopeful that dealing with such a well respected company would have been a positive interaction, but as several other women have mentioned in the reviews, it was far from that. Without even meeting, I was told on the initial phone call to go out and start looking to buy a new house because it wouldn’t be worth it to add a new master bedroom to my current 2 bedroom home. It was very apparent during the call that they were not at all interested in my business and were just going through the motions. They offered to email me information by the end of the day to review before we started anything “if I was really serious” - no surprise it was never sent. If you don’t think you fit the bill of their usual clientele, keep it moving and save yourself the time.

We have now used McClurg's services twice. I would never use anyone else! Our first experience was a major house repair, partially caused by shoddy work performed by a previous contractor. The second was a camp repair. Every single aspect of McClurg's work was the opposite of our previous experience. The communication was excellent. The cost on both projects came in under budget. Both projects were completed within the agreed upon timeframe. The worksite was spotless every day. I can't say enough good about either project. I’m so happy with the service from McClurg Remodeling. There was water leaking behind the siding of our house. Ryan and Steve did a great job investigating the problem and making the necessary repairs. I have worked with many good contractors over the years but McClurg has raised the bar! If you're getting quotes for a project, they will most likely be one of the most expensive. They are a design/ build firm. What sets them apart are their professional skilled craftsmen with years of remodeling experience, and their quality subcontractors and suppliers. McClurg has done a complete kitchen remodel in our home, refurbished a laundry room and numerous small jobs for us over the years like installing molding and fixing glides on drawers that we could not find replacement parts for. They use top quality materials and supply their carpenters with all the tools needed to do the job right.They always clean the work-site and prioritize safety, both on the job and for those in residence while work is being done. Most importantly, they are professional, trustworthy and we are pleased with the work. My kitchen is fabulous!

McClurg are hands down the best construction/remodeling company I have had the pleasure of dealing with. From the initial consultation to the finished product, their team was amazingly professional throughout. The Project Consultant Jamie made it exceptionally easy for us to design our bathroom remodel, he traveled down to our house so we wouldn't have to keep traveling to the office or to showrooms, and he met us at several suppliers to help us choose our fixtures and talk us through the whole process. He explained the budget at every step, and kept us pretty in line with our original budget. Our carpenter, Pete, was exceptional (But really though, I want to keep him!). He was thoroughly professional at all times, and catered to all our needs. He really knows his stuff, was highly organized, and a pleasure to have in our home for the 6 weeks of the project. The finished product is amazing, and I am really pleased. Can't say enough good things about McClurg.

Spoke with McClurg about both a kitchen and bathroom remodel; however, I will focus on the bathroom remodel as it is the most ridiculous.The current bathroom is 5x9ft (including existing tub). The requested changes:1. Replace existing tub, surround, and fixtures2. New tile flooring ~35sqft3. PaintThat was all. No sink, toilet, layout changes. Now before speaking with them I looked purely at supply cost and some labor.1. New tub, surround, and mold resistant drywall : $25002. Tile for 40sqft: $3003. Paint: less than $50Then I contemplated labor, and based from a remodeling expense website.1. Remove old tub, drywall, and tile: $8002. Move existing items (toilet and sink): $6003. Install new tub and surround: $16004. Install new tile: $6005. Paint and molding: $6006: Reinstall sink and toilet: $600So my total: $7650. lets round that to $10,000 for >30% profitTheir quote? $30,000Oh, what did they want for a kitchen remodel for a 8x10 kitchen (again no relayout)? $50,000!!!They obviously did not want my business - which seems crazy.

We needed to do a large renovation while living in another state. As a result, we needed a company and a team of people with whom we could work remotely. Melissa Sposato has been our account and project manager. She is a designer and has a strong background in construction. It has been a pleasure working with her and so far everything is progressing smoothly. I’m especially thankful for her attention to detail and excellent memory. She patiently reads my daily detailed emails carefully and remembers everything. Her understanding of both design and construction makes it easier for us to make decisions, as opposed to having to talk to multiple people. Along with Melissa S, there is a team of professionals - carpenters, electricians, plumbers, painters, designers, builders, administrators, etc., with whom she coordinates. Everyone has been exceptional. Our on-site carpenter and construction manager, Dave Wooden, also has been responsive, well organized, conscientious and does beautiful work. Also, we have had to interact with several companies in the Syracuse area - craftsman, manufacturers, and vendors. Everyone has been professional, personable and takes pride in what they do. Contacted this company for a bathroom remodel estimate. The woman on the phone asked if my husband would be there. Should have just hung up. The woman they sent out for my estimate told me a bathroom remodel wouldn’t be a good use of my money, quoted $40k for a 5x8 bathroom with no floor plan change, and then asked if I work- presumably because my scheduled estimate was mid-day on a Monday. Or maybe because I don’t live in a wealthy, all white, neighborhood. All 4 other estimates I got from other contractors quoted under $20k. I’ve never been more disgusted by a company in my whole life.
