My job was complete in one day and now I have the confidence that I won't have any plumbing issues to deal with again. New shut off levers installed and Pex tubing. Just found out my 84 year old mother got her outside spigot fixed because the winter months cracked the line near the gate valve. Shembeda installed a new spigot and valve inside the basement AND CHARGED MY MOTHER ALMOST $500!!!!!!!!!! Complete robbery, and took advantage of an old woman. SHAME on you Nick. That's no way to run a business. ANYONE READING THIS.... YOU HAVE BEEN INFORMED.Update: they never called me back when I requested to talk to Nick. That is a measure of integrity. Anyone reading this, there are better options and contractors with integrity. Integrity isn't how nice your words are when you are face to face, it's how your "actions" speak.

I’ve used this company many times and understand how expensive plumbing issues can be. I’ve had no problems before with pricing and I have spent thousands of dollars with this company. I’m not an electritian so when I tried installing a dishwasher on my own I gave up and called Nick Shitbeda. At no time did they tell me it would cost over $450 until the end. When I called to explain my frustration I was told I was wrong. Left me very disappointed and displeased after giving them a lot of business.

I just moved into a house and my old oil furnace needed an upgrade. Since I have existing ductwork and wanted AC, a heat pump makes the most sense. I was looking at geo-thermal and a conventional air-source heat pump.I called Shembeda and just to get a quote I was charged $89. I knew this up-front, but it's still odd and the first time I was charged for getting a quote. In my due diligence I had 4 total HVAC companies come to evaluate my situation and Shembeda was the only one that charged for the visit.The work required to swap out my oil furnace and install new heat pump is at most 2 days for 2 installers (more likely 1 day). The quote came in at $24,500! The equipment cost to me if I buy online is ~$5k. I was BLOWN away by the markup. I appreciate a business has expenses but this quote was so ridiculous that I actually laughed out loud.I ended up choosing a geo-thermal system and the quote from a local installer was LESS than Shembeda (BEFORE any incentives or tax credits). Keep in mind to install a geo-thermal requires digging a 6' wide, 400' long and 8' deep trench to run thousands of feet of plastic tubing. This is a 4+ person, multi-day project with large excavator and the quote (BEFORE any incentives) was LESS than Shembeda. The geo-thermal heat pump itself is nearly $10k (almost twice the cost of the air-source unit Shembeda was going to install).Geo-thermal has some incredible incentives and tax credits so my total cost after will be $7K so it's a no-brainer but I may have chosen an air-source from Shembeda to save the aggravation of having my yard ripped up if the cost was reasonable and fair.

We're going on 3 days of no problems. After reaching out to several plumbers/heating contractors, Nick Schembeda plumbing got back to us and cared that we had no hot water and heat. Troy came out and tried hard to get us up and running with no results.He explained that our old unit didn't have options for alot of parts because of obsolescence, so he gave us an immediate quote for a new unit, knowing we were without heat and hot water. He was very up front with the expense and no repair whether it's plumbing or hvac is inexpensive.They came at their appt time and did a super thorough job.I would highly recommend Nick Schembeda plumbing. They are about making money for their service, but they look out for customers that are in dire need of service like us. Thank you for the help provided. We we I'll definitely call you in the future.

Do not use this company ! I had them come in October for a routine check and cleanup of my boiler. 1month later had them return because boiler wasn't working ( weather had turned cold.) Came back and bled radiator air out and said it would take a while to heat up. Still wasn't working. Called another company who came right out and took pictures inside the boiler to show me it was never cleaned. $200 the first visit and $93 for the second, all for nothing . The other company fixed the problem in about 20 minutes.

Very bad experience with this company. Charged us for a new tank when the 2021 tank was covered under a 6 year warranty. Had no hot water. Contacted our own plumber who discovered a faulty hot water ball valve on the tank Shembeda installed.

We had a hot water tank explode on us in the middle of the night (what a disaster) and contacted Nick Shembeda Plumbing and HVAC first thing in the morning. They were able to get a technician to our home that day to work us up an estimate on relocating a new tank into our basement. Their technician Caleb was knowledgeable and friendly and put us at ease right away so we let him come and go as he pleased to get the job done while weren't home, as we both work a lot. After waiting a few short days for the new tank to come in, Caleb was able to come in and work around the insane amount of gear and equipment the ServePro team had at our home to dry everything out and he had the new tank installed very quickly! The install was very professional and tidy, and he remembered exactly where we wanted it without needing to go over the details again after his initial visit. We did have an issue with the pressure bleeding off some water through a valve after he left the first time, but Caleb came back to our house and went above and beyond the original quote to make things right. These guys are pros and we couldn't be happier! They don't come cheap but I priced everything out afterward and I only would have saved a few hundred dollars and wouldn't have had it done as fast or as well and with the amazing warranty and support for piece of mind for years to come...JUST CALL THESE GUYS!

We had pipes start leaking in our ceiling around 8pm and I called Shembeda in a panic. Caleb came out and started working right away and worked until almost 1am then came back the next day and finished up for us. He was a lifesaver! He was professional and very kind to us and my inquisitive 5 year old. We will definitely be using Shembeda for any plumbing needs we may have in the future!

I had Shembeda company install a HVAC system in my home. Heat & central air. House is on a concrete slab so all the duct work had to go in the attic. Because of that we had to spray foam the roof deck. First off the system worked great. After the installation was installed I noticed a couple of the runs off of the main trunk were pulled apart by the installation guys crawling around in the attic. I expected it so no big deal. I called and they scheduled me the same day to come out and check it out. Technician that showed up had been here for the installation so he knew what I had. Troy checked the whole system and found all the problems and fixed immediately. Great job ! Highly recommend them and I will probably request Troy for any Future jobs.Service: A/C services

The service was exceptional! I was given a 2 hour window of 2-4 pm and Jason arrived at exactly 2 pm. He was very professional and pleasant. I’m in the process of purchasing a home with drainage issues and needed a camera ran. He was able to identify the problem immediately and it actually corrected itself when he put the camera down the pipes. He recommended some maintenance work that will need to be done at a later time. In the past I have used their service, mostly for a chronic problem I have with a water pipe that freezes in the winter, and they have been in the past great at repairing the problem. The older guy was great at working with me and even won me over as a tolerant human with one of my curious cats, (had to climb on his shoulder and "supervise").My last encounter was a younger gentleman who really did not the listen to my story about general situation, and just claimed everything needed replaced, the situation being a problematic toilet situation. I have been dealing with this for a few months and I know what it's doing, I know how a toilet works. They wanted to charge me over $1,000 for what they said I needed was a total toilet replacement along with a new valve setup. Without trying to troubleshoot and see if the whole toilet was the problem. Even with a financing program available, I really don't think that the prognosis of my toilet was properly given a look-over.I know everything has gone up in price but I was expecting maybe paying for this service for about $300-400, but about 3x that? Nuh-uh.Also a little irked when I was dabbling at trying for the financing option and I apologized because I was trying to get something to load on my laptop, and the responding plumber said, "It's fine. I get paid by the hour." I was missing work to be there for that meeting.

I called for an appointment for them to do a routine maintenance check on my boiler. Waited two weeks to get put on the schedule, and even got all the confirmation/reminder texts/emails that’s a technician would arrive from 0800-1000 hours. I took off work for that morning, waited until 1100 and no one showed, so I called the office. They didn’t see me on the schedule and put me on hold. They supposedly never “attached a technician” to my appointment. And as for re-scheduling… the office staff told me they are just completely booked up and they would have to try and squeeze me in and only gave me one other option two days later. I told them idk what else to do but to call another place, and she said “ok have a nice day” and abruptly ended the call. Not a positive experience. Very disappointed.

THANK YOU for all of help and EXCELLENT customer service!Update:Called Nick and company and they fixed me up the same day! The most professional and caring people around. Prices are great, the service is EXCELLENT and the quality of work is not comparable. THANK YOU!!Nick has done a lot of work for me. I have always been very satisfied with every aspect of his business. It’s amazing!! This company is great! They are so professional and courteous. They genuinely seem to like what they do and they all seem to be friends. They were happy and helpful the entire process. They cleaned up their whole mess and hooked back up our dryer. I can’t say anything better about this company.We contacted them the day after Thanksgiving and were nervous to find out that we needed a whole new unit. Ours was broken and they showed us how. They loaned us space heaters to use while we waited for the new unit to be installed.It took all day (as it should have) but they were just as friendly at 6:00pm as they were at 8:30am. I’m not kidding. They worked tirelessly to make sure we were warm. They showed us how to use the new system and the new thermostat. We were still using the slider with the mercury. 😂Thank you Nick Shembeda and company. I wish I could remember these gentleman’s names. Amazing company! Highly recommended. I can’t recommend Nick Shembeda Plumbing enough, and I’m a customer for life.Thanks to their team, I was able to have a major plumbing job done with almost no headache — and more importantly, minimal impact on my wallet. They recently relined all 90 feet of my sewer line. In a standard workday, the crew handled the entire job with as little disruption to my life as possible. They also took the time to explain the original problem, the options available, and what ifs. And I never got the sense they were trying to make a quick buck of bilk me just because. The #1 concern was matching need with value.Personable. Professional. Prompt. When it comes to hiring out any contractor, these traits go a long way. Professional. Nice. Understanding. Relatable. I was in a pinch when my boiler stopped working. They arrived same day, assessed the problem, and got me scheduled the next day for a new boiler instal. Installed the new boiler in a day. Plumbers were super nice and relatable. Polite and didn’t mind being asked questions or explaining things. I even had an instance where I had air in the lines after a day or two and they came back no questions asked and got the air out. Receptionists are super nice and it was a pleasure dealing with them. So happy with how this service went! I needed to go from a fuel oil furnace to a propane furnace. The experience was great! Both gentleman introduced themselves and got right to work. They wore footies on shoes to keep carpet clean and took them on and off every time they came in and out. They worked quickly and didn't waste time. They went above and beyond in the work they ended up doing too. They were both friendly, kind, and took time to clean up. They made sure everything was good before leaving and let me know they would come back out if there were problems. They respond quickly to need and get the job done well and quickly.
